While Kanger brought affordable squonking to the masses they certainly weren't shy about saying who done it - just about every surface has either their name or logo on it and just in case the user should forget what he or she is vaping it even says Drip mod on the top surface!
It came with a spare build deck and a pre coiled and wicked atomiser each taking two coils giving a resistence of 0.4 ohms and OMG if you used it as issued, it spat like a firecracker.

I tamed it by making a single 0.9 Ohm single coil with a very small ID fitted between the posts and running it with the airflow about a quarter open.

Nice build 1,0 Ohm or there abouts is best for Battery life IMPO! I am thinking of going with mech all the way have some nice one and also squonkers. Have you seen the adapter for the tub like mechs.

Lately I've been having some really bad luck with my mods. I dont know if its a sign for me to stop buying cheep mods or give up vaping altogether. Its so frustrating, now I have four mods down. Two sxk bbs, one superleggra sl clone, and now the para-nomore...You would think they would secure the tube with screws or threading from the inside but nope, its glue and supposedly press fitted. Dont over tighten you caps.

I haven't seen these in the UK ... but two years ago in Spain the vape shops had them both in B&Ms and online - at the time I thought - "That's a true engineer's solution" - i.e. inelegant but it'd work.

Agreed about coils around 1.0 Ohm and battery life - the one I did in my pic was an experiment to see if I could fit one in that way and now I know it can be done and it'll work and kill the spitback I'll do another to fit better around the 1.2 ohm mark making sure again that I get both legs coming out at the top of the coil which IMPO goes a long long way to kill spitback.

On the going mech front - I'm in a sorta similar frame of mind. I left my watch collection in Dunoon because i thought I'd be back within 10 days max - but since 22/11/20 I've happily worked with my old quartz Seiko SQ 100; also a lot of folks managed with just their Reos for years - so I thought I'd try playing about with the simple Kanger Drip box and see how I got on. The mod's good, the attie not quite so much so but I'm getting there and have other ideas yet to try....

You'll all be fed up seeing this small neat setup, and I'll not post it again, I promise, but I'm working on what used to be often given as advice to new vapers on ECF when I joined - basically it was, don't be constantly chasing the "best" but work on getting the best out of the kit you have.

The inelegant experimental coil is doing a grand job, the wick has bedded in and there's no spitback. The wide open drip tip which can't be replaced isn't what I'd have chosen in an ideal world but by adjusting my tecnique it's proved pretty satisfactory. Battery life is excellent - I'm on day 2 with it.

I started out almost 100% with mech tube mods, used them over the years along with other gear, then ended the last years running 99% mech squonk mods (mostly 35 Reo's).

Interesting concept for the tube mechs... the ability to add squonk to them.

I always ran Geek Vape Avocado RDTA's on my VGOD. They added an ample juice supply for it rather than having to drip the VGOD RDA that came with it.
