Does your 510 adjust on the knight to accommodate your tank? Or is it just a gimmick?

The 510 Pin is spring loaded if that is what you mean. The connection itself is in a fixed position. This mod is a considered a "side-by-side" (I think that is the term) similar to the VTR. I think there is a extension tube that you can get to use a dripper with it, but it doesn't come in the box.

I watched a review and the guy commented that the 510 was supposed to turn by loosening a screw to accommodate the air flow of your tank. But his didn't turn.

Ah Got it. There is an allen screw that needs to be loosened I believe to do this. I have not tried it as my airflow matched up well The opening for your tank is about 23mm so a standard 22mm tank should have space for the air to flow no matter where the airflow is. Here is a pic of the allen screw -

It's not a gimmick. Loosen the screw, rotate the 510 deck a small amount, tighten the screw.

New mod today in the mail, the Smoant Knight V1 (Next to the Beyond/Athena Tandem)
upload_-1

High level details -
  • TC/VW up to 60W
  • replaceable 18650
  • The weight is about the same as the Tandem before adding a battery definitely a lot heavier after it is installed - this is a very heavy mod - it reminded me of the VTR
  • narrower than the Tandem
  • Taller than the tandem
  • It feels better in my hand
  • Buttons are both more pronounced and take more force to push
Less than 12 hours using it, but I think I might like it better than the Tandem.

I guess I will be ordering a 2nd one of these to go in the backup box. (already have the ATHENA eNVy22 coming in the mail as a backup to the tandem)
did you see where Athena now hasn't 18650 battery envy 22?

Got some vapemail today, finally got a back-up mod in case anything happens to my beloved VT:

Although it's tiny it's still quite comfortable to use, somewhat to my surprise. Resistance reading is about 0,14ohm off though, hopefully a firmware update will fix it but if not I guess I can live with it.

Size comparison with a Zippo:

Yes yes, very happy they've made an updated version of this beautiful mod, although not a big fan of the plastic black button & rocker switch.

But I'll probably get one anyhoe, just wanted something smaller to pocket for when I leave the house

The gremlins I hinted at earlier have mysteriously disappeared again by the way, as long as it stays that way this Nugget rocks!

Sweet. I dearly loved my VTR's. I still have them but they don't have the power to push today's popular tanks and coil builds. I will definitely be getting one of these. Thank you for the clarification.

Well I've had the bad boy for a little while and I've loved it since day one. The plate which sits ontop of the 510 can be rotated, to make it easier for you to customise how your tank sits, which is ideal for airflow. Even though it's max 60w, I have been using it at 56.7w and it hits good, and instantly. It's a little weighty but its build quality is solid. I payed a little extra for mine, because it wasn't available everywhere, but it was worth it. Disclaimer: I have not looked into the mod's TC; just the power mode.

Before purchasing mine, I do remember hearing some youtubers saying they could not rotate the plate on their pre-production models. There could be any amount of reasons for it.. moving on. As for mine: After removing the small hex screw from the plate, I had tried to rotate the plate with my finger. It was too difficult. Instead I poked the allen key into the empty screw hole and rotated it that way. It was important for me get this right; I have my Aromamizer sitting in there which does not have adjustable AFC holes.

Edit: P.S. Have you seen Tesla is coming out with a similar mod, the Stealth? However, it will not be a regulated device.

It's fun to look at the exotic luxury stuff. The american makers won't go out of business if they have a good off shore trade. What I gather is any vape stuff made here can still be made, including e liquid, so long as it's for export only. So we will still see a lot of the american stuff in photos by vapers in other nations. Will we see american mods and atomizers exported then smuggled back in?
