Besides the awesome product and reo history, alot of other innovations and such came out of the original reo thread. Superxdrifter was one in particular that made some great contributions to vaping.

Yep, Russ was a one-of-a-kind zingy soul, and a true gentleman. His Reo "help" videos were entertaining and informative, and some of the others were way over the top fun. I never met up with him in person, but talking to him on the phone was always a great experience.

Outstanding patina..

Thanks.

Some Reo history as I remember it.....

The ReoMeister did the patina on it himself. But most of the brass Mini's he tried to patina didn't live up to his expectations. I saw the pictures of all of them, and agreed with him that only a few of them stood out above the rest. So being the always honest man that Rob O'Neil is, not that many of them were offered for sale initially. IIRC later some of the remaining best were sold for a greatly reduced price though.

As for this one that was one of the best, he sent it to me way back around when he was shutting down the Reo forum here on ECF as a gift to a friend, and in thanks for my years of doing business with him. I left ECF for around 1.5 years as well when he did, but we stayed in regular touch via phone/email. I bought then got my last new Reo from him on 6/5/2017... an OG one of a kind custom color Reo P67 that he made special just for me at my request for this specific color. It might have been the last P67 that he made IAMA soon after Reos Mods was gone (it had been sold).

This is the first picture taken of the Copper Metallic Matte P67 the day I received it. Of all my Reos, this one and the brass Patina Mini 1.0 are my favorite Reos because they came from the heart of a true friend.

This pic is of my shoes, it got included by accident so I figured I’d post and say if you need a pair of shoes that just slip on, feel good, and look decent here they are. It’s the first shoe that slips on without any adjustments but still fits right. The are pricey but worth it, it has a titanium cable running thru the back part so it snaps back when putting on instead of getting trapped under your heel requiring adjusting. Love these shoes you can put on while walking without missing a step. If you can’t bend over so well these are great.
Oh they are called kizik and have a few different models and some women’s also

In case you didn't know, there were lots of sales last week. ;) On Thursday, I got about a dozen packages, which included some almost forgotten stuff from China. When I was done, I noticed a black felt tube. My wife had taken it out of one of the packages. Which one, I'll never know. I checked every order, and I hadn't ordered anything like it. Not even accidentally. I would definitely notice an extra $50+, as well.

I took it out, and it was beautiful. A small, sleek mod, with what appeared to be an RDA on top. Actually, it's a hybrid mod/dripper. There's a tank that serves as both the juice tank and the positive pole for the coil. The deck is insulated from the tank. So you screw one end of the coil to the top of the deck, and just stick the wire into the tank until it touches. Works great with one of those old coils with the silica wick already there.

It's a UVO Ignis, by Footoon. I could immediately tell that it had to be by Footoon, because the quality of the steel and the mirror polish. Looks very similar to my Tad's First Mod.

I got ripped off, though. The 18650 extension (it uses 18350) and the ring to use it as a genitank are missing. The second is OK with me, since I'd rather use it as an RDTA anyway. As to the extension tube, well that just makes me mad! I want my money back!

Oh, wait...

I'll check them out. Thanks.

My choice of easy enough to put on shoes that have excellent support has been Crocs and Earth Shoes. (typically $80-$150)

Just got another pair of Crocs...

I always loved Earth shoes, but the only women’s styles I can find anymore are fake leather. I hate that. Doesn’t last but a couple months.

As I remember following the Hippie sandals of the late 50's to 1967 (the original Hippies, not the radical Yippies that soon followed them) the heydays for Earth Shoes was in the 70's and 80's and they have become harder and harder to find since. The most expensive brands still offer some, but it appears that even they are fading away too. Enter the 21st Century and a few years later the Crocs came along, and are still going strong. So I started using them too.

Love this finishing technique....do you know how the process works Spydro? It's a dipping technique isn't it.

No not dipping. In a nutshell these were spray treated with various specific chemicals (which chemicals determines colors and patterns). I have done my fair share of it, but it would take pages of typing for me to lay it all out for you. So... there is endless information on line about the different techniques, chemicals used for each of the metals that can accept a patina finish. There are also lots of videos showing vaping gear (mods, atty's, accessories, etc) being treated.

Not the only way for brass, but to give you a basic idea...
