Evo rocks!!! The Intellicig evo is the same design as the pilot. However it is apparent that they have taken the design to a new level by reengineering it. Their parts are far and above more efficient and reliable than any other. Think stealth fighter, instead of single engine teacup.

Seeing as how you posted this about 5 times all through out the forum ... it has enticed me to say one thing ....

What makes you so sure the EVO is superior? Pictures? The Dealers own "Words of Wisdom", did you happen to crack the programming, or is it something else ...

Just remember ... not everything you see, hear, or vape (especially in the ecig world) is necessarily true ...

knowledge, comes with time and experience ... both of which you seem to be lacking .... just my $.02 cents .... ;)

No worries Cash.. I am going to order an EVO soon (now that I have enough parts to make 2 Pilots so I have a spare) and do a comparison review so we can get this crap straight. I will likely not give in and get a Dura tho.

Having used both the Dura and Pilot [M401] quite a bit, here is my completely subjective opinion:

The Dura:

1. Has a larger diameter and a slightly sharp cartridge tip, making it less comfortable for me to use.
2. Has a *much* easier draw, which is either Pro or Con depending on preference.
3. Leaks fluid from the carts like crazy, though it holds more as well. Do NOT put this in a pocket to rattle around :)
4. Has the PCC available, which I don't have but seems like a nice option, even if it's just a fancy case.
5. Has a recessed atomizer, which I think makes it a bit easier to dip.
6. I have not experienced any severe hardware defects like some have reported.

The Pilot:
1. Has a very nice size and has a more "cigarette" feel in hand
2. Has fiddly cartridges that need refilling several times per day. For me, that is 4-6 time per day.
3. Has battery life superior to the Dura in a smaller package
4. Has much cheaper replacement parts than the Dura.

The Dura produces very good vapor and gives a more "full" feeling inhale. The Pilot/M401 has a "sharper" feel on inhale. Both will give you a nice shot of liquid right in the mouth if carts are not wiped down after refill - and even then will do it randomly. The Dura seems to me to be the next iteration of the 901 while the M401 is unlike anything else in its size/weight class.

For the money (both initially and in replacement parts) as well as the superb battery life, looks, and performance, I'd take the M401 every time. Just be prepared to buy a lot of carts and refill them frequently.

The EVO is EXACTLY THE SAME PRODUCT as the 401 other than 2 things.
1 slightly moil coil around the atomiser and the battery cutooff.. 5 secs cut for 2.
THEY ARE BOTH MANUFACTURED IN THE SAME FACTORY IN CHINA.
ANY BULL**** YOU READ ON INTELLICIG.COM ABOUT THERE BATTERIES BEING SOURCED OUTSIDE OF CHINA IS JUST BULL****. I HAVE SEEN INTELLICIG IN PRODUCTION AT THE FACTORY IN CHINA. THE FACTORY HAS CONFIRMED THE BATTERIES ARE IDENTICAL OTHER THAN THE "ICE" - SMART CHIP PROGRAM.

This just goes to show you how much crap is in the public domain. NO BATTERIES ARE SOURCED OUTSIDE OF CHINA FOR E-CIGS. The factory has told me it is trading companies and brands like intellicig lieing and using it as marketing spiel. Where are ipod batteries manufactured - - IN CHINA. m401/pilot/ EVO batteries are made in China! Importing batteries from Japan or Taiwan would considerably increase the cost of production. Dont let these companies fool you!!!

wouldn't the chip have a pretty big say as to whether or not the battery could last longer?

hi guys .
These 401/evo batteries have a feature on them ,the "cartridge dry 2 min cutoff period" to protect the vaporizer element burning out when it goes dry . I would like to know how this technically actually works if any one knows.? It's been giving me some probs on some of my new spare 'otherwise good' vaporizers because it keeps activating erroneously .

The cut off works within the software in the ICE or smart chip as it more commonly known. It has been programmed to cut off for 2 mins which is not very good. ITS WAY TOO LONG. most other ecigs have a 5 -7 sec cut off.

the cutoff is the same irrespective of atomiser. It is not activated by the atomiser only when the current is on.

IE - POWER ON FOR 5 SECS + THEN CUT OFF - NOTHING TO DO WITH WHICH VAPORIZER IT ON.

SOUND LIKE YOUR VAPORIZERS ARE PLAYING UP!

I dont think we are talking about same cuttoff .? There are 2 cutoffs from what i understand ,one for to long a puff (over 5 second puff) , that must be the one you are referring to here .? And another one for cutting of if cartridge is dry . ?

I was asking how this worked . how does battery know cartridge is dry. ?
