Hey Guys....want to chime in here for a sec on a few issues....1. the battery CZ WILL be BLOOD red....I assure you of that...from the pics you saw and I saw...they did look red...but I can see a tinge of orange in there...so that would explain the orange color people are noticing...won't be happening in the production model...that I assure you...(this is why we make beta's of new things we make...don't want to product thousands of these and find out they are orange!!!) ....I find it kind of accurate in our calculations that your for the most part getting 150+ puffs...that's what your supposed to be getting...give or take a few...now why some people are in the high 100's ...that would be simple...a primer puff...they use the same amount of energy to heat up the Carto as a regular puff....so....when counting...keep that in mind...1 primer puff + 1 puff=2 puffs(technically) that's what physics tells us....it's kind of like revving your engine before putting it in 1st gear and dropping the clutch...you still wasted some gas....even though the transmission was not engaged...

I also want to thank all of you for taking the time to report back your findings to us...it really is helpful...but let me ask all of you this one question.. Would you all be happy if you had paid for the PitBull in its present form?...no changes being made to the way it looks or works?....that is something I would like to know...thanks again...

Hey Bill! Yes, I would be happy w/ it having purchased it. The caveat being that the CZ would actually be blood red rather than orange. It is really nice to see what a premium e-cig is like, as I am a bit of a bargain hunter when it comes to anything I buy, and often don't get to try the premium brands. Having tried the PB, I do see the difference between the run of the mill auto Batt, and a quality unit.

I do have one suggestion, take it as you like it. I am sensitive to the taste of metal, I even prefere plastic utensils. I found that some clear tape around the drawing end of the Hendu carto really solves that problem, and makes the taste off the carto unmollested by metal taste. Maybe a clear sticker could be added to the Hendu carto for those of us who would prefere not to taste metal w/ our vape.

Thanks again for this opportunity, and I hope I have been helpfull.

Yes Bill, I would have been very happy with the battery even if I would have had to pay for it. I have said all along that I love the way it looks, feels & preforms.

I am hoping that you will continue with these & maybe another line of them... lol... as I mentioned.. *hint...hint* ok.. I will go back to my puff count now...

Third Charge. the CZ light was at about 2 1/2 hours, and the charger was flickering red/blue. More time on the charger resulted in only a tiny flicker on the battery end, and the charger mostly blue/purple. but it never stopped completely. I’m thinking that for this battery, the flicker is signals that it’s down to a very small trickle charge.

I started getting a bit of juice on the mouthpiece again at about 80 puffs. The little filter between the two rings gets saturated- so I’m taking the filter and the rings out from now on. (I know you’re not answering things about the cartos- but I thought I’d mention it since it could be a turn off for SmokeStik’s non-ECF customer base.)

The 3rd charge must be the charm…or finally realizing how to use an auto bat that doesn’t require primer puffs. Anyway- 198 puffs on this last charge.

To indirectly answer your question Bill, I think I’m becoming an auto battery convert. I like the PB quite a bit. Enough so that i ordered a Hendu battery this morning (the pink and gold batts are nice- but I wanted the purple CZ on platinum).

I have been doing more thinking about why sometimes the draw, vapor & cut off times seemed to be varying for me between the 3 (the PB, Pink SS & the Hendu). This morning I am using all 3 fully charged batteries with new cartos, rotating the cartos between each battery as well... I didn't want a flavor (I had both Menthol Med & Reg. Med) to possibly change my perception of how a battery was preforming. All 3 seem to be functioning pretty much equally so far except that the PB stills seems to have a slightly longer cut off, just a few seconds. Maybe this is just me... I don't know.. I will have to really try & focus on the cut off times. I do believe that the perception of the draw & vapor seemed to be more a result of how certain carto's were behaving verses the battery. It could very well be effecting the perception of the cut off times as well... but I will test that out some more.

Now to see how each perform in duration under the same circumstances. Obviously, I will have to come back later to note on that... & on the next PB charge I will focus mainly on the puff count.

It also seems the the cartos that I have refilled by just adding juice not washing out & refilling perform differently but I would expect that to be the case. I am trying to avoid using them for these tests because most SS customers would not be using them that way but when I do... I will use refilled on all 3 so that once again I am avoiding basing an opinion based on how a refilled carto performs over a new carto by putting the batteries under equal conditions.

For info purposes.... The Hendu & PB both are new & I have recharged them both now 3 times. The Pink SS has been recharged & used more but are not more than a month old.

ok, atty is cleaned and i now will continue with the test. like ces i will concentrate on not doing those little primer puffs, or at least cut it down to one.

one observation, and i realize this is not a concern with most of ss' customers. with this switch there is no way to dryburn which i prefer to do to both my attys and cartos.

and bill, yes to the purchase BUT only with the ruby red tip and the ecf discount but then i always liked a bargain [blue winky] sure miss that little guy,lol

Caution, do at your own risk!: On any auto batt, you can activate the batt by blowing through the ash end. I used to do this on my 510, and it does work w/ the SS batts also.

first day at work with the Big Dawg, and i love it! vaping almost constantly lasted right at 4 hours, at which point it went into my car charger for my half hour break. i pulled it off the charger at 11:30 am...it's now 2:40pm and it's still going strong! i might add that while i'm at work, i'm puffing almost non-stop. needless to say, bill, i would be perfectly happy if i would've paid for this.

ah....can someone please explain to me why you are wanting to do a dry burn with a cartomizer??? I understand why people do it to attys....but a carto? I really don't understand what your doing?

oh...glad to hear I was wrong about the color....I hadn't even thought to ask Bill about that.....thought it was just becasue of my monitor and the way it displays color.....'

on my third charge with the PB....I hope your right CES....about it being the charm...otherwise it looks like I got the only DOA battery of the bunch!

No no. Tib was talking about attys. I have not, nor will I ever dry burn ANY carto. Trust me, I understand the physics. lol

Well, the battery works, and it looks nice, so I think I would be happy with it. However, if I had the option, I'd want a manual battery with a sealed connector. But that's just personal preference.

:offtopic:lorikay, i was referring to the e2s which occasionally will get a juice build-up on the wick and have no filler to burn
Yes I've dry burned my e2s before. No harm done. In no way would I suggest a dry burn with a regular carto unless you like the flavor of burning poly fill.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I don't understand some of these postings:)

I've been out of commission for the past couple of days because of some strange stabbing eye headaches for the past couple of days...first one eye, then the next night the other eye. No idea what that's all about.

As I said earlier, I'm not your typical ecig user. I'm still smoking analogs because of my inability to make them work for me :( I'm on low nic and still cough up a lung on each and every "hit" if I inhale. I have done every kind of "inhale" suggested. Right now, it's a short hit and just hold it in my mouth and exhale....which turns it into a catch-22. Low nic, no inhale equals needing an analog...bummer.

Anyway, that being said, I LOVE the PB. It's beautiful! It feels good, and the carts that came with them work for me...the way I use them.

I've had zero problem with threading issues. Then again, I've only used one of the five I ordered. I haven't paid any attention at all to what the charger is doing because apparently everyone has a different experience.

When I got it, we briefly put it on the charger. When I read that it was fully charged we pulled it off and I started with it. I did not count "hits" because I didn't know if that would be a fair evaluation.

Now it's been fully charged and apparently I got a lot more hits than others because of the way I vape. I take only small hits, hold it in my mouth, and exhale through my nose/mouth because of my inability to totally inhale it.

The charge I'm currently on, I've had more than 180 hits off of...and considering I may have missed a few, possibly 190+ It's not dead yet, but seems as though it's slowing down. The next time I recharge I will probably do a cart change too....although for now it seems just as good as when I first screwed it on...with no problems.

To Bill and LK, I cannot thank you enough for the gift. It's the only "bling" I have and it's beautiful!

To LK's question as to whether I would pay for it, I'm not sure if you've said how much it would be? We are on fixed income, so it would depend upon that, but yes, indeed, I would pay for this bling!

Hubby (bigblue30) did remove a silicone ring and the "filter" which he said was soaked and probably causing it to not hit as easily, but I just love what I've got and I have no complaints.

For those of you removing the filter material, do you find it is dry or wet?

Again, thank you. I've been blessed to be part of this review and receipt of this gorgeous PB :)
