My review:

Puffcount - This isn't going to happen from me. I've been getting home from work late. I bring my daily PV to work w/ spare atties and juice because I don't want to go with something I'm not comfortable with. I will try to get a puff count when I have a day off and time to relax. College and homework isn't helping with this either, but I will try to get a count.

Cartomizer performance - The first thing I did was remove the rings and mouth piece. I prefer a drip tip with everything I use. I also like to get more airflow and vapor. They perform pretty well. Smooth and nice vapor. Almost cigarette like. I have tried two cartomizers so far. Both of them never emptied, but just wanted a comparison. I ordered Medium Nic. (12mg). They have absolutely no flavor to me. I even let my girlfriend try it and she says the same. She stated that it had a hint of sweetness. I taste nothing at all. So I refilled one with my own juice. The first 3-5 puffs had some flavor and then absolutely nothing. I'm assuming these cartos kill flavor, at least to me. That's the only real negative thing I found.

The PB itself - Nice looking. Good weight. Nice feel in hand, but a little long for my liking. It's the longest battery that I have. Compared to the Riva and 510. I peeled away the black sticker on my cartos so the PB looks really sharp now. I should have ordered the silver ones to start with...this was my fault. I can not see the LED light turning on when I take a draw. Even in a dark room. I have no idea how others are seeing the LED light on. The cutoff is sufficient enough. I have to take a 3-5 second draw, stop and then another 3-5 second draw. For an automatic, the cutoff is good compared to a manual 510 and 901. I would like to see a 10-15 second cutoff or none at all.

Likes - It's pretty sharp looking. Performs well for its' size. Not sound activated. No fuss and works great out of the box. Good weight and feel.

Dislikes - Cartos have no flavor (Are they suppose to be tobacco or menthol?). A little long, but this is a personal preference. Can't see the LED activate when taking a draw.

Changes I would like - The LED...I need to be able to see it activate. I would also like to see 4 air holes around the threading where the carto attaches. 2 holes are nice, but I think 4 would be better. I know the length is out of the question...this isn't really a problem, but something I would have to get use to. 510 threadings would be awesome...this is wishful thinking, lol. I would like see a closed a battery. I think it should be a given that closed batteries are the way to go. I do drip with the carto unattached to the battery. Let it sit for a bit to make sure that no liquid comes out.

I haven't drained the battery yet after the first charge. Haven't really had the time to vape with it all day yet. Just been using it here and there after work. I'm going to have to drain the battery all the way before I can do a time on charging. I'm also going to attach a fresh carto with a fresh charge and do a puff count.

BTW - 510/901 drip tips fit the cartos, but some might be to loose. My nhaler drip tips fit perfectly, but they are tight on my 510 atomizers. So if you have a 510/901 tip that seems tight...give it a try on these cartos.

.

Just FYI, there are two little cut outs at the end that you can see the LED from. Only works in dim light though.

Yeah I noticed them. I even read other reviews that stated that people could see the LED in dim light. I have not seen any light shining from the two cut outs. Even in a dark room with just the tv on. I been using my pinky and holding it an inch away from the LED tip to see the light.

I think the LED cap needs to be rounded and sticking out more OR more cut outs. Something along those lines would help. This is probably just an issue with mine or I need to put on my glasses that I never wear, lol.

I do like the look of the red LED cover. I was surprised with it shined orange when I put on charge. It was a cool surprise.

I love the CZ cap too, I even like the orange, any color would be better than the ashcap. Personally, I only look at the light when vapor and TH are decreasing to check battery life/need to recharge.

Yep, same here. The rest of the time the vapor is warm enough I cantell when it's hitting or not.

Thanks LowThudd, I forgot to add that in my "things to change". I would like see a closed a battery. I think it should be a given that closed batteries are the way to go. I do drip with the carto unattached to the battery. Let it sit for a bit to make sure that no liquid comes out. Better be safe then sorry.

I have one brand of liquid that is extremely thin and will leak out of cartos and atomizers no matter what. Even 3 drops and it still leak out.

Again, as LK has pointed out. The customer they have more times than not, are those who don't want to mess w/ refilling, dripping, dipping or even attys/carts. Their main customer base is people who just want as close to as easy as a cigarette as is possible in an e-cig. I do understand where you are coming from, but this just isn't designed to be for the average, even mild modder, which drippin is a modifacation of the juice feed system.

Gonna post my thoughts to see if anyone else might think the same, Lori hope you don't mind, this is a nice little unit the only things I would like to see is a Manual option on the Batteries. When it comes to the Carto's I would love to see what they where like if the Ohm's where lowered .5 - .75 so they where around 2.25 - 2.5 I think the increase in vapor and the taste of the smokestik flavors would really come out for this company. Anybody have any thoughts about this.???

I just don't see why opened batteries are being used at all. My Blu has an opened battery connection and some of those prefilled carts where overfilled and juice was getting everywhere.

These cartos seem packaged really well and I don't see juice spillage as an issue, but it can happen. So why not just make the battery closed and call it a day.

People also spill things all the time. I always have a glass of something on the same table where I put my PVs down. I haven't personally tipped a glass over, but it can happen. Just a habit now to have some sort of liquid to consume when I vape.

Maybe it's just me....I dunno.

Thanks LowThudd, I haven't tried dripping yet, just refilling cartos. BTW- would dripping give me more TH with the PB? (staying OT here 'cause RADAR spelled backwards is RADAR and she sees us coming and going LOL).

Actually, with the DSE103 you would DIP not DRIP. the 103 has an exposed bridge which you can dip into liquid, thus making the chance of getting juice down the hole towards the batt negledgable. IMHO, dripping into an auto batt is just asking for trouble. Mostlet dripping or dipping gives better flavor. Doesn't do much for TH in my experience. BUT, I am not a TH fan. I wouldn't care if there was no throat hit at all.

You are right LowThudd, I am one of those customers, not a "veteran" so to speak. So if I may I would like to say I chose the SS becouse I wanted something as close to cigs as possible, I DID NOT want a button I had to push (manual), I wanted as few pieces as possible (2 piece system), and I wanted to be able to take the filled cartomizer-put it on the charged battery and go. I like the prefilled menthol which was a blessing becouse if it tasted bad I would probably have not tried another ecig-just kept on smoking. That being said, I feel SS has a great product for a "first" ecig.
