As promised, here is another technical detail. The battery voltage (under load, 2.5Ω) reads 3.4V on a "fully charged" new battery. Note.. this is good old constant DC voltage. The output is not "pulsed" as is often seen on other PV batteries. This is the same output and "waveform" that I get from my old, old, old SE gold battery (same connector).
Houston, The pitbull has landed. It is a very classy looking Pv with the stainless steel appearance and the engraving. The ash cap is another very nice addition. It is a little bigger than the 510 and 808 and has a great feel to it. Very solid. In my first session I noticed the led works more like a real ash and comes on slow like a real cherry on an analog and then dims down to off like an analog instead of just on, off. There is also a tiny little bit of teal light on either side you can see as you vape so unlike my other PVs I don't have to look in a mirror to see if it's firing. I really like the solid feel of it and the draw is also good without hissing and popping cartos seem to do from time to time. I will vape on it now a post more on it later.
been vaping mine about 2 hours. I ordered full flavor cartos (24mg?). the first carto would not screw on properly, didn't wanna force it (should i call the Dr.? )
a little disappointed in the orange/amber CZ. blood red would be preferable. it is illuminated by a white LED. I had some crystal tipped 901's from another supplier. about a year ago. conversely, they had clear tips, with colored LEDs. The problem with clear crystals, is that you can see the circuit board underneath, and it sorta takes away from the mystique (for me). the problem with the colored crystal, is the LED is not very bright (again, personal preference, but i like 'em bright. i figure since i dont carry a lighter anymore, my e-cig should double as a light source.). The switch requires very little to activate. though the draw is a bit 'tight'. kinda like if you rolled your cigarette too tight. vapor is decent. falls somewhere between a stock KR808D-1 and 510. it's satisfying, but not thick. more akin to a filter cigarette. throat hit is nice. satisfying, but not a kick in the throat. again, similar to a filter cigarette. 6-7 second cut-off
*couldn't resist
the one in the middle is a 280mah 808d-1. then a 650mah ego. all with cartomizers. the PitBull is approx 3/16th" shorter than the 808d-1.. which in turn, is about 3/16" longer than the ego.
im vaping on the precharge. so no puff count. wont get one in until maybe 3rd charge (including pre-charge), tomorrow evening.
My initial impressions are, I like it. Looks nice, and seems very reliable. time will tell, i suppose. As it stands now, I most likely will buy more SS batteries. Though not so keen with the cartos. For the price, I want clouds of vapor! But, I am only on my first (working) cartomizer, so i will try not to get ahead of myself. heck, the first carto was a bust, the 2nd is more satisying than half the cartos i have lying around... at this rate, the next one will be HEAVEN!
again, time will tell.
so that's it. my initial thoughts.
But before I go, I want to express my gratitude. I really appreciate this opportunity. The PB seems a very solid device, and SS comes very highly recommended. I am impressed so far, and am excited to try more (...Hendu). Trust I will exercise my keenest scrunity. just dont be surprised if I burn up all the cartos....
so, Thank You.
If there's anything else you want specifically addressed, don't hesitate...

[EDIT]
and here's my first ever -spontanious- video review. framing sucks. audio sucks. yadda yadda.... enjoy!
(it took me like 30 or 45 min to type my response, and i noticed Yankee, in the meantime, ask if videos might be wanted. well....)
[EDIT, again]
jumped the gun a bit. but i did mention "beta test"
as far as video reviews go......L just ask that you be sure and specify that this is a beta test and not a finished product that is for sale or even will be for sale. So there probably isn't alot of point in doing them yet.
First carto seemed alittle dry(probably due to me drinking so much juice. J/K). The second one I wiped clean before putting it in my mouth...no metallic taste. Might be just me, but for the sake of arguement next carto I will put straight in my mouth. I was a Q/A computer and DVD tester for most of my adult life, I hope it pays off for you. lol
I am having an issue. Still on the first carto, and I am getting quite alot of juice in my mouth. Pretty unpleasant. I might end up switching to a different carto before this one is empty. Any advice?
I must say, for the size of this thing I am impressed w/ both the charge time and the carto lasting ability(just not liking juice on my lips and tounge)
blow them out before you use them.....
miscalibration of the filling machine....less juice...they dont last as long.....Bill says blow them our from the bottom....so you dont end up with juice in the threads. (by mouth...not with compressed air)

Been going 4.5 hrs. on this charge and I'm starting to notice the cut off time getting shorter. Probably close to a charge. I ordered the full flavor high strength, it's pretty mild and mellow. The taste is okay but I wished it was 555. This really puts out the vapor though. It must have something like a capacitor in it because I noticed as I said earlier if you stop puffing it takes a second for the led to power off. I wished this would have been around when I started because it's more like smoking an analog than any of the others I've tried. My only complaint so far is I wished it was a manual instead of an automatic. I also had the tight threads when putting on the carto but nothing too drastic. Another thing I've noticed is the switch doesn't activate unless your puffing. I've tried everything including rattling my keys by it and tapping on it and it won't fire without puffing so I don't think I have to worry about it going off accidentally in my pocket like other automatics.
Today. I can't believe how long this battery lasts. I started at 5:00PM yesterday and it finally needed a re-charge this morning. It's amazing how long it lasted. I too liked the taste but I'm a 555 addict but this one is close. I looked inside the carto and it has a little thin ring at the top with a thin filler piece next to the mouthpiece cap. I'm guessing it's to catch the juice that migrates to the mouthpiece end. I have to wait for the battery to charge.
I bought a Hendu battery so I'd have something to compare the PB to as far as SS go. To be honest, I was amazed by a couple of things right off the bat.
1.) I actually really liked the tobacco flavor. This is the first - besides RY4 - that I really enjoy.
2.) Being a mainly mod vaper, I was really surprised by the amount of vapor it produces. I was afraid it would be too wimpy after using the H16, Riva, etc but even my husband - who burns through a carto a day! - likes it. For me, it seems to be a better producer and have better throat hit than the Hendu.
Tomorrow I will start the count, using a click counter I got at Wally World in the craft dept. Just click each puff...
The only disappointment was the orange LED; I, too, was under the impression the light would be red.
Having not used auto batteries for awhile, I found it a good, easy draw after about 10 hits or so - maybe carto overfill as Lorikay mentioned. I did put on a drip tip on for awhile just to try it.
Today was mainly a first date...
And thanks so much, Lorikay and Bill. I feel very honored to have a hand in helping you with this. But I do have just one complaint...you didn't send any cards to hand out...I spent more than an hour today writing your info down on napkins, grocery bags and even somebody's hand! Everyone always asks which e-cig is the best one to 'quit' with. Before I tried the Hendu and the PB, my suggestion was just to check out the forum and decide for themselves. Now I feel very comfortable making a specific suggestion!
I wouldn't hesitate to recomend an SS either. The draw is exactly like the draw on my hard packed B&H. I like that. Would have been a very easy, natural transition. Price wise it is on par with much more inferior brands(Blu, SE etc..). But it just feels and looks much more to be a quality product, and the CS/warranty is great. In a couple weeks(when I recover from all the "must have" sales), I'll be getting at least one hendu batt.
Im finding the draw to be very very airy and vapor production is not as high as I'd like. Thinking maybe just a bad cart? Iuno. Will have to see whenever I switch carts. Maybe I'm just too used to cartos on my 510 that seems to have a very stiff draw.
Just had an issue. I had the batt on the charger for 2.5hrs(using the eGo 110v plug adapter). I got impatient, so I unscrewed the batt slightly, light turned blue. I screwed the batt back on, the light stayed blue. Not sure at this point if it is fully charged or not, but was anxious to get back to it. I have hated autos since I got used to my eGo, but I am having a change of heart. I really like the PRs auto sensor function. Nice device.
First run on a GP prefilled coffee which I think is 3Ω (because it was after dinner and with my coffee I want a coffee vape). Carto was a tight fit.
Bat lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. Counted 32 puffs (primer puff not included) for 10 minutes so that extrapolates to 288 per the life of the bat.
However, I felt like it was losing the oomph after 1 hour. If I had not been testing to see how long before it died, I would have recharged at that point. So, that would be 192 puffs.
Bat has been charging in a USB wall doohickie for 2 hours and 15 minutes and it's still charging. That is a long time.
I thought the draw was medium. My preference is looser so I did loosen the carto.
You certainly can't beat the warranty. I was disappointed at how little time it lasted though. After this died, I switched to an old 808 280 mah which must have been charged 100 times already. It lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. I know though the mah on the PB is 250.
Vapor was fine. I didn't notice any difference one way or the other. Same for the amount kick I was feeling. I don't go for TH. I don't like coughing cuz I no longer smoke!
Will post again when using the SS carto.
The ash cap/led is cool I think. However, I'd rather have different colors for the bats then the ash cap thing. It's easier for me to keep track if it's an older or newer bat then (but I'm a little weird that way!). Besides, there are so few colors out there (we know who pretty much has the market on that.). That would be my main marketing suggestion.
Handed mine to a couple of smoker friends to try. They were all very impressed by the looks. Even more impressed w/ how closely the vape was similar to a real cig. Very nicely done on that/
So my PB finally ran out of juice after approximately 240 puffs. The last 100 puffs were getting progressively and very noticeably weaker. I'm surprised that a battery with higher mAh would actually seem weaker than the little Hendu. It doesn't provide that satisfactory kick that the Hendu does. And the draw was also becoming increasingly hard, requiring double and triple primer puffs in order to produce some vapor. The battery seems underpowered in comparison to my other PVs, namely the RiVa and the eGo (combined with moderate resistance cartos-2.5Ω).
Ok so does anyone roses end light on the pb stay lit while charging? Just plugged mine in when I got home and the light at the end under the stone is staying lit while its plugged in.

Just wanted to check in real quick to let you know I'm still alive... Whew!!
Yes!! It arrived...
Yes!! It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen...
Yes!! I am keeping a puff count...
But due to my mail arriving so late, a friend stopping by with take-out for dinner, problems with switching my router to a hub (which it didn't like) I don't want to charge it until tomorrow, since I will have to be offline to do it and I need some sleep right now... so I will give a full report tomorrow (or later today, I should say - ha!!).
I had also ordered an AC/USB adapter, but it didn't go out until Thurs., and hopefully will be here by Sat. <crosses fingers> since most things seem to make it here in 2 days, including the Pitbull, too!! Great job, BTW!!!
I just want to say how thankful I am to be a part of this group, and to be given such a wonderful opportunity, especially for being one of the new kitties on the block...
