I threw this idea out there before, but nobody caught it... Ha!! Now that I see how many posts we have here after only a couple of days, it seems like an even better idea to me now!!
Are you listening LK??
Here's the plan:
Start up a
Social Group for the Beta Testers... There is a place for only members to post AND we can have our own forum, too, complete with different threads for each issue: such as batteries, charging, etc... and even one for Q&A!! I think it would be much more organized and easier for everyone to find and/or post the info they are looking for... especially as we get further into the test!!
So, whaddya say??
lorikay13 is well aware of what a social group is.

Are you aware of the military definition of what a volunteer is? Plus....see below for my explanation of my job. I do not believe I would be allowed to even participate in a social club like that...ECF rules to keep suppliers from using the forum as an advertising tool. And it's a good rule. So I will need to ask an admin....maybe Angus is sniffing around and will address this issue....but I personal do not have time to do it. One of you would have to do it. And then what to do with the social group when the test is over....which btw....it will be soon....I'm pretty sure ECF is not going to want to set a precident of allowing temporary social groups for the purpose of individual suppliers to beta test. I could be wrong....let's see what the admins say first. Please do NOT try and start a group until you have been told it's okay with Admin.
OK, on that note. This is most likely a PCC issue, but when I charged the PB w/ a "Smoking Anywhere" PCC, the LED never shut off, but the PCC turned green. IS the charger sending a signal to the PB to shut off the LED? Or is the PCC bunk(I only paid $5, so it won't hurt my feelings if it is).
If I understand Bill's answers correctly the answer is no....the charger does not send a signal to the battery. The IC chip in the battery is what gives the control. So yes....it's probably the PCC....for $5 you got what you paid for. And that is the reason we dont sell one....I know it is something Bill is working on.....but he isn't going to offer one until he is sure it will be of sufficient quality.
ok, love, love the looks of the pitbull and no problems with the duration. but i will start all over again tomorrow with an atty. i'm just not pleased with the carto performance. it is not the battery, a trueman carto does great on the pitbull. now, remember, i had to clean this carto due to my pg allergies and something could have gone wrong.
really? ya think? after taking it completely apart and boiling it or whatever it is you do to them? Yes....I think this is likely and I thought we agreed that you were not going to be making any posts or comments regarding our cartomizers or mentioning other vendors products dear. just sayin'
At the risk of flogging a dead horse... (bad phrase for you animal lovers)... I think there might be a misunderstanding ... Plastic ring with hole in it at the top of the carto to seal it. The mouthpiece cap. Then space. Then silicone seal with hole, then fiber filter (no hole), then silicone seal with hole, then juicy filler material with a tube down the center.
My only thought is, if the cartos are not built consistenly the same, then there is a QA problem in china.
the operative word in the phrase is "control"......not perfection. At any given time we may have up to 50K cartomizers in stock.....it is not even a realistic goal to expect them to all be perfect. I know it seems like a big deal when a person gets a defective product. But try and understand....it's only a big deal to you because your the one experiencing it. I mean this specifically in terms of a product that is produced at the volumes I am speaking of here and now....not across the board. If a company puts out a limited edition widget and only makes 10 of them and doubles the price for the LE widget....then even one bad one is certainly a QC problem. We have switched to machine filling the cartomizers to specifically address the issue of consistency....I think I mentioned that already but I understand I'm going to need to keep repeating myself as this thread gets longer. No problem...so once again I need to remind everyone.....we dont even try to market to ECF. 99% of our customers would not even dream of taking a carto apart....they don't care whats in there.....they just want to use it once and throw it away. I know it's hard for us here at ECF to understand that.....I certainly dont use our cartos that way....even if I could afford it I wouldnt do it because it goes against my grain to not try and squeeze all the possible use out of any product. But I also understand that not everyone is like me. I telling you all this so you will understand my role at SmokeStik...I am the SmokeStik Customer Service Rep......this forum is an extra that I took on myself out of a sense of loyalty to ECF. I could not continue to participate at ECF and do CSR for SmokeStik....and I saw this as a way to help my company as well as provide service to ECF members.....but I have to be honest to make this work....and the truth is that the "issues' ECF members have with our product do not translate across to our real life paying customer base. That isnt a value judgment....just reality. Bill is really doing me and you all a huge favor, from his POV,by even letting me talk to you about refilling cartos at all. Sorry for the rant

you mention QC and that is what happens around here. It's a touchy subject...only because Bill works very, very hard on QC....and I mean work in the literal sense. Weeks and weeks at a time away from home in China working directly with his engineers and plant managers. Alot different than just faxing in an order with a special request.
