I haven't really talked much about the way the PB looks.... I really like the steel finish & the length. (FYI... favorite colors are silver, black & pink... so that may explain a lot... LOL)!! Could do without the orange... but we have already covered that part! (Thanks Bill)

Anyways... back to the PB... I like the fact the the company name & the PB engraving are there but not obtrusive. It gives it a high end class without the In Your Face attitude. I believe in putting your name on something you believe in shows a lot... buts means even more when it does not have to scream it. I feel it is the type of PV that any man or woman would be proud to own & go anywhere with. I know that this is one PV that will always be with me no matter where I am or where I go.... Well that is.. until it meets its final demise .... lol... then I will have to get another one!

I should really say that about all the SS PV's that I have.... I am proud to own the ones that I have and I am happy to show them to anyone.

Thank you Bill for giving me this opportunity to try a product of yours before most others could. Thank you for taking our opinions into consideration & providing a very well thought out & superior product.

Oh... Lorikay!!!! What can I say!! LOL... Thank you for your hard work on trying to keep track of all of this... organizing the contest & the orders etc... and of course the many things you do that we do not see upfront in black & white! I am still not sure you ever sleep! There is so much more.... um but ... I will save that.. for the other thread.

Thanks Again!

LK, just curious as to how long the $15 batts are going to be available. I can't afford to make a purchase until next week.

spacekitty....:offtopic: kinda.... the pink SS is beautiful... I would recommend grabbing one while you still have the chance to...!!! I have it & even thinking about grabbing more before they are gone!

Sadly, I am on a fixed income, with just a debit card, and have only been placing my orders once a month... after the 4th. That's only about 2 wks. away, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

At least I saved enough last month not buying analogs to be able to afford the cartos (and the AC adapter) for this beta-test!! WooHOOOO!!

I completely understand, I have been out of work since Nov. 2009 & currently trying to sell my home & have to be really careful where I spend my $'s... If I am able to get some while they are still available... I will be more than happy to send you one.

Yeah! Just got back into town, and got my PB in the mail today! First impression, it looks great, the logo engraving is nice and blends in well, and I love the jewel LED tip. I ordered mine w/ atomizers, so I immediately put one on, dripped a few drops of my favorite flavor to get it going, and puff puff puff it works like a champ! Nice, smooth, warm vapor production. I plan to use it, carefully dripping, until the original charge fails, then plan to switch over to the carts that came with it on the next charge. I also ordered one silver carto, replaced the juice with my own flavor (prefer the fruity stuff) and added a silver drip tip just for looks and to make it easier to refill the carto, and it is also working great! I sure do like the look of the silver carto w/the silver tip on it. SO SLICK! I also like the draw on this battery, it seems to work better than any of the other automatic batteries I have tried, and I have tried a lot of them
** I am aware that the battery is not sealed, so I will be very careful about dripping, or over filling **

I am very greatful to be a part of this beta test group! Thank You SS!!

Charge 6: 167 puffs (~4-5 hours).
Charge 7: 155 puffs (~4-5 hours).

I completely lost track of charge time, and was at work for much of the time. I kept finding myself vaping without thinking about it and trying to figure out how many puffs I'd taken before remembering that i was trying to count. So, um, well, the accuracy on those two counts is a little suspect.

charge #3 took 2 hours 20 min... we're up and running. I have found I have to be careful where I put my hands when I am holding the stik. If my fingers are placed over the spot where the battery and carto connect the draw is much more difficult. Otherwise it's hitting like a dream.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on that for the times it seems like a really hard draw. I couldn't figure out why at times it seems perfect and other times very hard. Maybe I am doing that. Thanks for bringing that up.

I can't give a fair impression for today because I didn't have two hours to wait for a fresh charge. Can anything be done about charge time in the future?

I would like to see it reduced as well but don't know how they would accomplish that task. Batteries are only rated to accept a certain amperage so it would be quite an undertaking.

okay....I know this is a stupid question....but how long does it take to charge other 250mah batteries? I honestly don't know.....It has been so long since I used anything but SS and my Riva.....and I have never even owned a 510 or any other battery....well....Mr Puffer...but that doesnt count for this conversation. So......?????????

It takes 2- 2 1/2 hours to charge my Riva (650 mA?) and 2-3 hours to charge my kr8s. So, objectively the charge time is on par with my other batteries. IMO the charge time seems long because I only have 1 PB., so i have to wait for it- watching and timing it doesn't make it seem shorter (a watched PB charges slowly?). With the others i just swap them out when one gets low, so i don't bother worrying about the charge time.

1 hour for a standard 510, 2.5 hrs for an eGo 650, 2.75 hrs for an eGo 900. It is longish, but as was said, with a second batt ir would not be bad as the PB takes a few hours to drain anyway. I think the issue is we REALLY like our PBs, and want to use them more than we're able. lol

Not so much an issue as a feature. lol

BTW. my PCC even fully charged will not charge the PB fully. Obviously this is an issue w/ the PCC. I believe that the PB has a higher full charge voltage tha the PCC. I'd say it charges it about 5/6ths of the way. Maybe 6/7ths. Not that big a deal, it's handy to have the PCC anyway. Just thought you might like to know, as people may want to use a PCC.

Hey all, late to the party as usual, but I wasn't able to start using my PB until Sunday and stayed away from the threads so that I could just use it the way I normally do. My daily pv is a 801, so comparing the 2 isn't fair, so I'll just compare it to my original SE gold 4081.

Very sleek, not overly feminine, has a nice guy look to it, Overall length doesn't appear to be much longer than my regular 4081 batts, although with the totally recessed "cherry" and not knowing the depth of the cz, etc., it may be a slight bit longer than my 4081.

Am using the menthol cartomizers from SS, nice flavor, I'm getting vanilla undertones- tastes like my favorite candy cane candle smells, yum.

There seem to have burrs somewhere, either on the threads of the cart or inside the threads of the batt. They're catching, when putting the carto onto the battery. It does appear now it's the cartos, I've tried a couple of my personal atomizers and I'm not getting this at all.

Using the cartos, the first one had a nice draw, no problem, I get approx 2 1/2 hrs from the battery from the first consistent use, Lorikay, I tried to count puffs, I lost track at around 100.

Am now on the 2nd carto, it is not as consistent as the first, I seem to be getting alot of air and "whist" when I inhale, also getting some leaking on this one, I pried it apart, removed the rings and patted the extra filler dry and put everything back together. I like this added filler section, I've had burning hot juice come at my tongue from other cartos in the past. I like this idea, thinking of taking some filler and getting my hole punch out to retrofit my other cartos, thanks!

Recharding the battery, tried the usb charger, was concerned for a while with a lot of flickering and didn't want to crash my puter, I did dig thru my stuff and found my wall charger from my original SE kit, but the cherry stays lit the whole time, not sure when it finished charging, the light stayed red on the charger, but at some point the cherry on the batt went off.

Round #2
Battery went for about 3.5 hours, I'm not fond of the cherry, while it does seem to look the most realistic, it doesn't stay lit long enough or bright enough. hard to tell when it's not producing much vapor if the battery needs recharged. The light seems to disappear almost quicker than I can turn it around to look! Same battery charging issues, can't tell at what point the light went off.

Round #3
Still using the 2nd carto, it was a little leaky at first, but then seemed like it dried out a little quicker, not sure why. I originally got the black covered cartos, but find that I like them better with the label peeled off the best. Cut off time hasn't been an issue for me, that seems to be working fine.

I'll be using this tomorrow at work and stealth vaping, will read thru the posts now to see if I've missed anything Thanks for the opportunity to test this, it has been fun!

i am so far behind on the thread now! everyone just has so much to contribute. this is really neat!. I still have only put my PB through 3 charges, and am waiting for some different cartos to come in before i finish off these SS cartos. I feel like it's the carto giving me guff, and i'd fall in love with the PB if only i had a the proper cartomizer paired with it.

Personally, I love the cartos. But then I only liked them once I pulled out the two silicone rings and the filter. IMHO, they really inhibit the carto from fully functioning.

BTW, side note. These full flavor regular cartos go great w/ Arak and water. Just thought you should know. lol

Not to try to bring up a dead point but I was wondering why people were have so many issues with the USB charger and I noted some observations that I had through this beta test..

When I first received the PB & USB charger I plugged it into my laptop.. battery was fully charged & the light was blue on the charger. 2nd charge I used the wall charger, 3rd charge I used the USB charger via a AC wall adapter & that was the 1st time I noticed the dancing red & blue lights that others were experiencing. 4th charge I used the USB charger via the laptop again & everything worked perfectly LED went out & the charger turned completely blue.

So I was kinda wondering if most are using the USB charger with an AC adapter and if that is more or less causing the lights on the USB charger to react the way they are.

Just a thought that I wanted to share...

First, it is a bit longer than a standard 4081, I had to modify a PCC so that the batt would fit(pic to com e later). Not a big deal though, it still feels better than my 510s did. I didn't have a problem w/ my cartos. This is obviously an inconsistent manufacturors issue, and not just the PB. I'm sure Bill is on the ball on that. The draw for me is great, but again I remove the two silicone rings and filter now before I use them. They work much better like that. I haven't had the whistel thing. My eGo mega attys are much louder. But if you like the filter...go with it! I'm wondering if the whistle some have is due to the vents on the batts being inconsistent. Since I am not getting it. I haven't tried the menthol, so maybe they are different. Just MHO.
