for those who're complaining about the cartos...i completely gutted mine except for the filler. silicone rings are gone, filter thingy's gone, lil plastic tube in the center's gone...and damned if it don't hit/taste/draw better! takes almost an ml of juice to fill it up after cleaning...may be more, as i didn't measure. a thought on the tread issue, though. i'm believing it might be the cartos as well, as my 4081 atty screwed right in without an issue, cut when trying the cartos on another batt, there was some grabbing. again...these are just the musings of one insane mind.

The Pitbull seems to become better with age!! :) With the atty, I got 125 puffs! And with the carto I got 160 puffs! Then with the atty back on it I got 135 puffs. Much better than I have been getting. I think it needs a couple of charges to work at full strength. I love the finish and the etching of the pitbull on it! Very classy. I must say though...the light on the charger is the brightest I have ever had! It is blinding if you look right at it! :)

off topic

just a word of caution, red. removing the little sock/tube from the middle of the carto takes away your protection against burning of the filler material

I entirely agree with people when they say the PB gets better as you charge it a few more times. I just put it on the charger since I know I will have to wait a couple of hours but it was still hitting well after three plus hours. Better than the KR8's did. I lost count of draws.

I got a nice smooth draw each time as I made sure I wasn't blocking the holes. For me, overall, it is still a big

hey gang.....Bill says yes....it is possible that dropping a battery will render it nonfunctional.....too many variables to list....but yes....it is possible. If this does happen to you we do want the battery back. Once we receive a dead battery from you and confirm it is dead, IF we still have any left we will send a replacement. The exception to this is blatant abuse...dropped in the bathtub? ya...thats abuse :) hottub?...goat ate it?.....run over by a truck?....you get it i"m sure :) So we can all stop giving Sadie condolences...she's getting a new one.

oh yes.....mine seems to be working better too....I know I have read about "conditioning the battery" but do not know if it is really true....I will ask.

edit. - I misunderstood, This is a correction. They definitely noticed a difference in the draw. Harder with the PB. They just didn't seem to be bothered by it too much. However, they did notice the difference. Also, less vapor with the PB than the Classic. One of the ladies that has really taken a likeing to vaping is also a low to zero nic user. She uses the SS more times per day than she smoked because she likes it so much. But she frequently vapes Zero nic. So she cares more about the hand-to-mouth and vapor (and appearance) than throat hit and nic delivery. She noticed a lower vapor level in the PB.

So I compared the two myself.
IMO .Sometimes it takes a LOT more draw for the PB to "turn on" than it does the Classic. There is a little less vapor with the PB too.
Othertimes, it seems the same. Is it possible that I'm having a switch problem? Sometimes I'll draw and there's very little vapor and I have to pull on it hard to get the light to go on. Other times the slightest vacuum works and tons of vapor. I wrote a whole paragraph on how the vapor is much lower on the PB and the draw is harder.. Then I thought, I'll give it another shot... picked it up and it worked perfectly. Huge vapor and yes the draw is a little harder but this time, I got the vapor.

It's hard to determine which is the way it should be. Right now, my general thougths are ..... For the "smoking experience", I would like the Classic better than the PB. For the esthetics, (appearance, length and graphics) and battery life ... deffinitely the PB.

I have to say that we don't seem to charge it near as much as the rest of you. So if we've only charged it 3 or 4 times, could it be that the battery hasn't "broken in" yet?

If I was a new customer in a mall buying one, and could try them out... and I was comparing the PB and the Classic AND the color/graphics were the same... I'd buy the Classic.

I have switched from the atty to the carto, after opening it up,taking it apart, rinsing the filler, putting it back together and refilling it w/my own VG juice. I have put one of the plastic disks and the little filter disk back into place, and popped a stainless drip tip on top of that, and it is working great. *I am not actually dripping w/the tip, just using it as a mouth piece* I am getting a much truer taste of the juice than I ever got with other cartos, and none of the funny burning, or plastic taste. You guys have a great filler in these things. It was easy to take apart and put back together, I really like the quality of these cartos.

I also just ordered a hendu batt and 2 more cartos to have a point of comparison (and I love the look and feel of these stainless PVs) After vaping a 510 manual and ego mostly for the last year, I am finding I enjoy this PV vaping experience so much more, since I am not getting that burned taste (so far). I still have not started a puff count with the PB, but will after my next charge.

Well I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because I haven't found 1 bad thing to say about the cartos. Well except for the thread thing at the first but I've had other cartos that were harder to thread on and I wish they came with 555. I haven't had any of the bad taste or any other of the afore mentioned problems with them and cartos is all I use anymore. The battery lasts forever which is one of the things I really like. As I said in an earlier post, I wished I would have had it for my first PV when I first started.

Whew!! I got a little side-tracked yesterday, but that doesn't mean I wasn't keeping my puff count... The charging time's are all running about 2.5 hrs., the charger light never stop blinking and the LED never goes completely out.

#6: I only got 130 puffs, but I was vaping on and off all day from Noon until about 7pm, so the count might not be entirely accurate...

#7: 160 this time, and at 90 I put back in the 1st carto that had the tight draw and the problem with the threads... it had 80 puffs used already, no problem screwing in, but it immediately started leaking juice. After suffering for another 50 puffs, I took the filter out (it was soaked) and the batt lost power 15 puffs later. The batch # is D182MG...

#8: Vaped on and off for 6 hrs., 145 puffs

#9: Vaped for another 6 hrs., 125 puffs

Just finished #10 at only 140 puffs (plus the 3 it took to figure out it was gone... ha!!) and had been going for about 4.5 hrs.

I don't know why the puff count seems to go down so much when I'm just taking my time and not chain vaping like I was for the first few days... my counts can't be THAT much off every time.

As for the thread problem, I don't think it was that 1st carto, because even though I could still feel it catch slightly in one spot, which they all seem to do, I think the threads on the PB had been worn in more by being used. But I still get a little whistle if it's not tightened to exactly the right spot...
And on the tight draw on that carto, I refilled it with some of my choco/menth, which it didn't like at all... and I figured it was pretty much gone by then, so next I filled it with my Anise mix (which I said I wouldn't do because of the oil in it) and now it's working like a champ!!

Maybe it just needed a little lube job... LOL!!

Charge 9- No puff count, but I used the PB pretty steadily from 11am to 5 pm when the vapor started to drop off. Even better I got to compare my PB to the brand new Hendu that arrived this morning- woo hoo! (apples to apples Bill :) ).

‘K, so, the Hendu is (obviously) a bit shorter. I prefer the length on the PB, but I like the purple CZ bling better on the Hendu. I tried switching back and forth between the two for a little while and I can’t really tell the difference between them based on draw and vapor. To me that’s a good thing (even if it means I’m less discerning of the subtleties) since I got the Hendu because I really like the PB

red....can you expand on that? Do you mean it is going off when you dont intend it too ?

It is sooo hard to figure out something that is so subjective....if anyone has a suggestion about how to describe this...what kind of language or words to use or some benchmark I would be gratefull. I have some people saying the draw is too hard....others the draw is light and airy.....and it's hard to know what everyone really means because we are all so different. So would be really beneficial to know if there really is a consistancy issue with the switch or if this is just another one of those perceptual things depending on the user. ideas anyone?

ah...just thought of something.....red...do you have another SS battery to compare to? The gold batteries are not at all "girly" looking....they are very classy and look great with black cartos. IF you want to....no pressure.....you can pick one up for $15. Then you will know for sure rather your just experiencing the SS draw or rather your PB really is super sensitive.....

pm replied to. basically, i tend to hold the carto between my teeth while i'm doing stuff. i've noticed that often the LED'll flicker at me and i'll exhale tiny puffs of vapor. after some experimentation, i've noticed the draw on my PB to be VERY light. it takes almost no effort to activate...significantly less effort than my NPro even using the same carto. i know...apples to grapefruit, but it's all i have to compare to at the moment.

:offtopic:

I got my ECF business cards last week, which made me start to think...

Why weren't any SmokeStik cards included with our PB kit when they sent them out??!! I forgot who it was that talked about all of the people she was showing it off to, and I think it would have been nice if we all had cards to hand out to interested parties when we are out in public showing them off...

I don't know if it would be asking too much for someone to put a few in an envelope and send them off to all of us, or maybe at least to those who request some
