So I don't NEED anything, but one of my favorite juice vendors from days gone by has released DYI flavor extracts. Some of them were available back in July, so I got some and I'm really enjoying them. Recently they release some more, so I thought I'd order a few of those too. Put 'em in my cart, go to checkout, and... BLUECHECK! :censored:

Nope. Not happening. Not gonna give BlueCheck my cell number or the last four of my SSN to account so I can be on a nice one-stop-shop list of people who've ordered vapestuffs on-line.

Sorry, Alice, it's been nice knowing you.

I believe that there is a long line of people with the same thought...

This will likely give a short term boost to the B&M's as many vapers would rather pay a higher price face to face than go through that gauntlet.

I will be shopping where I have the option where the delivery can be signed for... I can go to the PO and pick it up - no problem...

Unless literally millions of smokers/vapers turn to DIY, I think maybe we are taking the paranoia to a whole new level here. I really doubt the government is going to start to alter every day items like PG and VG to shut down vaping.
No, but I see the day coming when concentrated nic will become hard to get......

Thats one thing the CAN regulate.

Oh, trust me. Once you get a DNA 75 Therion, there's no going back on TC. I have a DNA 200 Triade, and then had to get an Efusion Duo. I'm still planning on a couple of more DNA mods, but given the price point, I'm choosing carefully. Not a great impulse purchase. OK, yes it is, but I promised to be good for at least a month or so.

BTW, Evolv is coming out with new chips. A DNA 60, which will be the upgrade from the DNA 40 (still small but fuller featured) and a DNA 250, for when you need to heat the basement while vaping (looks like it throttles back to 167W with that DNA 250, sorta like the way they do a 133/200 with the same board).

Both the DNA6o and the DNA250 are established retail products prior to 8/8, I have a invoice trail and pics of my built mods (hobby modder only no retail) to prove it.

The DNA60 will fit in the same space as a DNA40, making it a good retrofit candidate. It comes in a large screen and a small screen version.
The DNA250 includes a 2Amp charger.

I sincerely hope these are not the last DNA series to ever be released in the USA.

I have a question about Fasttech if someone can help. I placed two orders, one Wednesday and one Thursday. This was my first time ordering from them. All items I ordered were showing in-stock when I placed my order but now two of the items on my order are showing out of stock with estimated receipt date of 8/18/16.

What are the odds they will actually receive replacement items on the date they give or am I better off to cancel those items so they will ship the remainder of my orders?

Sorry to be so wordy. Any information from seasoned Fasttech users appreciated.
In my experience, FT's ship days have been 90% reliable when they list a specified date for a product to come in.

It's hard to hit a like button for that post. :( I think a lot of shops are trying to decide if its worth it to try to keep going for two years at most.
Or at least trying to stay in business until their current lease expires.

Maybe if you dropped an email and stated your displeasure with Bluecheck as the Age Verification method. You could also give them an alternative that you would be willing to live with. Also explain why you don't trust Bluecheck.

Just a thought :)

Yes, I will probably do that. As I mentioned in the other thread, I wouldn't object to e-mailing them a scan of a government-issued photo ID. I wouldn't even mind paying to have it shipped "adult signature required". But none of those are an option in their on-line ordering system.

It looks like the biggest hurdle post 8-8 is the age verification.

I bought something yesterday. No hurdle. I put in my birthdate Vertidad or whatever it's called, verified me in a split second.

Granted, it was a vendor that is known for "having their act together". They obviously got the right verification company, they got the right software / coders to put their shopping cart software in order, etc. etc. etc.

But that brings me to reminiscing back to 2012, I was saying then "when all the dust settles years from now, there will be certain vendors who stay in biz and certain ones who wont'. And I named some of them. Guess what? The names haven't changed.

When you are in business and you are serious and professional, you are one step ahead. Back in 2012, it was a "hurdle" for some of these companies to use glass bottles. It was "hurdle" to shrink wrap the product / provide proper closure to the eliquid. Later on when Dr. F's research identifiedd that maybe diacetyl wasn't good to vape, it was a 'hurdle" for some of these places to remove it and/or test their products.

With or w/out the FDA though, (and I admit they make it all harder) really professional businesses have a plan that includes having the pulse of their industry, and an eye toward the future. NOBODY stays in business resting on their laurels.......not in today's modern, fast, globally competitive world. They are flexible and can make changes when and where necessary and STILL survive. (not like IBM)

Anyway, the same 10 or so companies I noticed that were showing ultimate professionalism back in 2012 are still 'bringing it' today. You have to be diversified (can't only sell carto tanks becasue if modernity and technology change, you have nothing to sell down the line) and you have to "keep on keeping up".

And, that is true in ANY business.........regulated or not. (because your competiton will be out to get you; new technology will be out to get you; changing consumer tastes and spending habits will be out to get you; your distributor who can no longer deliver X, Y and Z to you will make you have to re-design or reformulate a product.............the list is endless.

Thousands of businesses close their doors, every day, all across America.

Hundreds of thousands of customers are buying wines and smoking pipes on line, have been for years, and have no problem with age verification.....and the companies they shop with are doing just fine. Vaping doesn't have to re-invent the wheel or anything. :)

IF you have some wonky system where you are going to require people send you their driver's license or first born........yeah...you are going to lose many many customers. :)

If I were in the situation of having to get an age verification system up and running, I would have started vetting that many months ago, and would find, then pay somebody with expertise in that, and I would spend whatever I had to spend to get the very best system up and running, with the least possible toil for my customer.

Or suffer the consequences.

OK, I did that --- except I didn't explain why I won't sign up for a BlueCheck account. I simply said I won't, figuring if they wanted to know why, they'd ask. But what I did do is to give them a list of previous orders I'd placed with them.

Anyway, I was offered a completely acceptable work-around.

Can you elaborate, or is it a State Secret?

The one I stopped in this weekend acted like nothing was wrong. I asked and the answer I received was... we will keep going until the atf knocks our doors down.

WOW!

Now that is the answer of a hard core American Vaper and Businessman.
