You should buy those online, for 2/3 the price. Even with shipping it will be cheaper than full retails MSRP.

- Aspire Nautilus BVC Cotton Coils (Pack of 5)
- Aspire Triton Mini Coils (Pack of 5)
The whole point of me going to the shop is to try and get acquainted with them, I don't "need" the coils, the purchase of them is for current use. I haven't needed to buy in shops for well over two years. I want to have some local sources for these things, and to be a familiar face to the employees and or owners of the shops. I don't think I can do that by just looking around and never buying anything there. I haven't bought e-liquid in over 2-1/2 years, so spending an extra five or ten bucks every week or every other week isn't of any concern to me. Forming a customer relationship is what my goal is.

But why rebuttal? Or even get on the defensive/offensive? I think trying to view and understand ideas prior to automatic judgement helps broaden perspective, at least it's how I view things in life, it's worked so far, I have made so many friends that way, who aren't wishy washy and don't discriminate, rather people of all walks of life, my kind of people.

But those questions are all hypothetical, not going into politics or debating as it's not a good subject to talk about to others, OR family. Not even going to go there, lol..

No politics here on this thread. I don't do politics even with family either, we all have our own views which is fine, but as my grandpa always said don't talk religion or politics with your friends :) LOL wise advice. As for news there is no real news anymore that ended with Walter Cronkite, and goodnight Chet, goodnight David :) So take all the so called news today with a heavy dose of salt LOL

As of 1-1-2017 the FDA will give a reward of $10,000 to anyone who turns in someone who is making juice not in an approved facility. (I asked about home juice makers, and he said the owner said beware if you make and sell any of it to others...even friends).

This is the first I've read regarding the "reward", I'd think if this were fact, we would have heard about it from many sources by now. I'm not saying it's not true, but would definitely be interested in knowing the source of this information.

Got an interesting text from neighbor who works part-time at a local vape shop. In it were these tidbits from a meeting the owner had yesterday AM for all of his shops' employees:

No more custom juice in a variety of ratios, to cut down on # of different products they make. Will only be making 20PG/80VG, unless someone asks for the "COPD blend" (which is 50/50).

As of 1-1-2017 the FDA will give a reward of $10,000 to anyone who turns in someone who is making juice not in an approved facility. (I asked about home juice makers, and he said the owner said beware if you make and sell any of it to others...even friends).

Said a local "bathtub juice maker" has been fined heavily by the FDA for having non-child-resistant caps on bottles of his juice sold at a shop out of state.

Owner also said the FDA is trying to get a system worked out to hire a large number of people who either are underage, or "look to be underage"...to go into vape shops on a "sting" mission, to see if they all get carded before being able to buy anything, and denied if they are indeed underage! Said they wanted to somehow get local Health Depts. involved in it, too.

Their owner "thinks" he has found a way to get around having testers in his shops, by having people become verified "members" of a vaping club in order to use them. Paying their monthly membership dues would entitle them to both sample vape and/or buy things in his shops. If you're not a "member", you can't do either.

He didn't specify anything relating to the owner's website sales.

Just thought I'd pass those things along. Don't know if any other shops are planning similar things, but I guess we'll see as time goes by.
How come this shop owner is so well informed?
I bet it's just a pile of bullmanure. He wanted to scare his employees, he succeeded, he even scared some ECF members. Good for him, but let's be realistic.

I wonder who the Elliott Ness of vape will be??? Can't believe they are going after bathtub juice makers, pretty wild!
I would want something done about bathtub juice makers, I would like to know what's in my product. IMO

I don't think they care about home brewers, the number of us is too small to be of a concern to them. They are after the market.

I agree.

I make my own juice and I wouldn't want to pay $15-20/30ml for a similarly made juice. Not that I am unsanitary, but I make my juice on the kitchen counter and I'm sure my measuring with livestock syringes isn't the most accurate in high tech automation.

Anyone that doesn't believe there should be some kind of regulations around the manufacture of ejuice should Google Dr. Crimmy leaked lab photos.

 I know you're just passing along what you heard, but this doesn't even make sense. Approved by who? I truly hope it doesn't go beyond this thread. There's already more then enough bad info about the deeming wandering around ECF. :(

( if sure would make a good fund raiser for submitting a few PMTA's OR funding a retirement account, think about it for a minute, turn in 10 juice makes per state times 50 states and one could have a quick $5 million :D )

I bet it's just a pile of bullmanure. He wanted to scare his employees, he succeeded, he even scared some ECF members. Good for him, but let's be realistic.

First, I've known the neighbor for several years. I got him started on vaping and quitting smoking. He's been one of the biggest advocates for vaping ever since then, and so have all of his relatives. I have no reason to doubt what he tells me that takes place in employee meetings regarding the FDA garbage.

The owner of the shops he works at has been very good about keeping his employees informed of what HE finds out, as he gets the new info. It's NOT to scare them. Quite the contrary...IMO it's prudent of any shop owner to make sure his employees are knowledgeable about what's going on, what's expected of them as employees, new requirements, etc., now and in the future. Their understanding of those things can/will determine the success or failure of his business and thus their own employment status!

The owner said he has been assigned to a specific liason/rep for the FDA (kind of like a caseworker in other words). Each liason/rep has many shop owners "assigned" to them. It is that person he is to contact with any questions or concerns, and who in turn contacts him about the progress of any paperwork, eliquids, etc. that he's submitted during the approval process to meet FDA requirements. The employees were told that the FDA information he passed along to them...came from that liason/rep. Obviously, the info. on his vape membership idea & plans, the expectation that each employee is to card everyone, etc. came from him.

I know my neighbor didn't pass along the info. to scare me, but rather to keep me informed, since he knows I'm interested in it. I didn't post it here on the ECF to try to scare anyone either. In the future though, I'll just keep anything he tells me to myself. I have no problem doing that at all!
