And it's true, in the winter we pull out a jacket...but still wear shorts and flips!

Our family has had many a Christmas on a day that was definitely shorts and short-sleeve weather! But, I do pull a light jacket out when it gets less than about 65...sooner if there's a brisk breeze blowing though.

I've lived in central FL since 1955, and we've had some pretty cold winters quite a few times. I remember well when it actually snowed 3 times here!

The funniest thing I think I've ever seen took place on one of our very cold mornings (was about 30 degrees), as I was driving out my driveway on the way to work. It made me laugh so hard, I had to go back in the house and reapply my eye makeup, that had run down my face from laughing so hard. There were cows in the big pasture across from my driveway, and it looked like quite a few of them were vaping, blowing huge clouds...except NOT from their mouths!!

Had never seen anything like that before in my life!

Cows vape??? :eek::lol:

Well...that was the only way I could think of to tactfully put it!

Guess I could have said they each reminded me of the Space Shuttles (except for being in a horizontal position)...right before they each left the launch pad at the Cape!

Hahaha!!! The funniest thing I see here in the winter is people wearing flips WITH socks. And you're right anything below 65 or so is jacket time.

Should we be stocking up on chargers and batteries? or are the safe from the deaming regs?
Those should be safe. Some flashlight enthusiasts would be upset if the deeming regs affected them! I do have an 18650 flashlight. When I buy new batteries, I use the older ones for the flashlight.

It's not a bad idea to have two chargers.
I picked up a second one early in the year. Mine was a few years old, and I didn't want to have to scramble to find, or order one if it quit working. Mine also only holds 2, so it's nice to have the option to charge 4 at a time now if I want to.:2c:

The folks here that also follow the porches will know that I travel to the Philippines pretty regularly - Last year the news was reporting a cold front coming in and warned everyone to bundle up - It was going to be 75 degrees F in the morning... In the morning I was sitting on my porch in shorts, tee, and flips and everyone of them were bundled and shivering (and staring at me)... :D
Wow. Lol's.

I wonder if vaping sites that sell batts/charger will have to add the large local tax on them if there is one?
I bought most of mine from RTD vapor but someone here told me they also have another site called RTD Electronix. I suppose they might close the first one if they need to but they assured me the second one isn't going anywhere because they cater to a lot of non-vapers. Their prices are very competitive.

You should be able to get both but I do have back up chargers and batts just incase something stops working I have back ups handy :)

I don't fear storms much. I LOVE thunderstorms!

The most scared I ever was was in 1985, when Kate came through. (I lived in South Georgia then) My ex and I lived in a rinky dink trailer with our 5 month old baby. We were going to go to the in-laws to ride Kate out. We decided to take a quick nap and didn't wake up in time. We woke up to howling winds and rain. There was no way to leave. We had not finished putting skirting around the trailer and could hear it rat-tat-tat-tat as it spun in circles, cutting holes in the trailer. I was sitting in the bed, leaned against the wall (no headboard) and I felt the wall pull away. I looked down and saw the ground! The only thing we could do was pray and wait.

When it was over, we went out and saw the holes in the trailer. Although we lived in a rural area on many acres of land and trees, it had been cleared out near the trailer and we had left 3 trees by the house. They were all gone. The next door neighbor had a nice brick home. She had a row of pine trees going across her roof. God spared us for sure!

Yipes! :w00t:

Better Days. Better Days.

That's pretty funny. I have chat mates in the Philippines and during the Winter when I give them the current Chicago temps in Fahrenheit with wind chill they don't say much, but then I give them the Celsius equivalent. They must think where I live is either treacherous or I'm kidding with them.

I tell them that when they come to visit me, we will have to buy them Winter jackets, long underwear, gloves, boots...and I do not think they can mentally picture all of that "gear" for everyday wear.

I took a group of my friends to an enclosed freezer (large room for meats) and arranged with the manager to close the door and let them stand in there for 10 min. They did not believe that it could be the same or even colder outside. I guess you can't imagine some things unless you experience it yourself...

good to know thank you i will go ahead and stock up on those

Generally on batts you want enough in rotation to allow a cool down period (let's say a few hours to overnight) for the ones you just charged and a short wait period for the ones you just pulled out of the mod. A little bit of over precaution never hurts. The cool down period is important though - very important... I have 6 in rotation and charge batts every few days...

I hope not. Both these items are used outside the vaping community.

Then how did I end up with 45 batteries bought since April....

Oh, probably because I have 7 single battery and 3 triple battery mods in rotation currently lol

I have a 2, 4 and 6 bay charger on hand. I really like the efest 6bay charger and the blue tooth app so I can turn them up from 0.5 to 1 or even 2 amps if I am just charging 1 or 2 batteries and have to leave the house or go to bed soon so I don't have to leave them unattended.
