Then how did I end up with 45 batteries bought since April....

Oh, probably because I have 7 single battery and 3 triple battery mods in rotation currently lol

I have a 2, 4 and 6 bay charger on hand. I really like the efest 6bay charger and the blue tooth app so I can turn them up from 0.5 to 1 or even 2 amps if I am just charging 1 or 2 batteries and have to leave the house or go to bed soon so I don't have to leave them unattended.
Sounds like you're all set. :)

Me, I personally like a simple charger. Pop the batteries in, plug it in, when they're done, unplug, pop them out, let them rest. :D
Use, and repeat as necessary.

The efest will do that as well, at 0.5 amps which is just fine for me 95% of the time. I only got the 6 bay to be able to do my triple battery sets because the intellicharger i4 4 bay I have that I bought will charge 2 at a higher amp rate than it charges 4 so I was worried about putting in a 3 battery set then it charging 2 of them at a higher amp after one finishes charging first.

Yeah, and see I just use single battery mods, and generally only have two going at one time.

So really, we each have what we need. :)
I forget about people using different set ups.

I keep 6 batteries on rotation. (Run 2 single battery mods daily) 101Vape had the HG2 battery sale week before last, so I bought 4. ($11/pair)

I use a 4-bay Nitecore I4 Intellicharger daily. I have a Nitecore UM20 charger put back. It works on USB and can charge other things via USB. I still have my first cheapo 2 bay charger as well.

Not me. As much as I dislike tornados & hurricanes snow & ice terrify me. I lived in snow country for most of my adult life & glad to be in Florida. Driving in snow & ice freaks me out. At least down here after the storm is over roads are drivable. In snow country a sheet of ice on the road could still be there days later.

I didn't say I like to drive in it. Nope, I stay close to the fire with my iPad, vape and a warm beverage. ;)

All joking aside, I hate driving in it. I make sure my cars are all wheel drive or trucks are 4 wheel drive. I know that that doesn't help you on ice but makes driving through snow easier. We have been lucky in my part of WNY, the roads are usually decent within a day.

I'd love to move somewhere warm when I retire but tornados, hurricanes and wild fires oh my!

Yeah, I definitely want to retire somewhere that I can dress like that year round too. It's already been agreed on.

Also, I didn't post here, but as for "post 8-8 stock up, I do have a KM5 on it's way from HHV. :D
Want to try to stay on topic.

Bea, I saw you post that you were pretty much done, and I know I got some flack yesterday for it...teasing flack, in fun. ;)

But I truly am done, I won't say that if something doesn't catch my eye that I won't get it, or if I see a super crazy great price on something, but I do have all the *needs* well covered, and like your cartoon image, I am jumping for joy too!! :). I loved that and thought it a very appropriate image to convey the feeling.

Awww. I'm sorry. I really was just teasing.

I have a 4 bay D4, which is like the i4, and I use it for my triple sets. With 1 or 2 batteries it charges at 750 mA each, at 3 or 4, 375 mA each. It always charges however many batteries are in it at the same power, so no worries about imbalanced charging with a set of 3. The 6 bay efest might be faster depending how it charges multiple batteries.

I'm looking forward to Mooch's test results about marrying batteries and is it really necessary. Mooch posted it will still be several weeks before it's done, but it will be nice to have a definitive answer to that practice (hopefully).

ahh, I did not know that, I assumed once the 3/4 bays finished the 1 or 2 remaining jumped back up

This should be interesting

I guess I am lucky that one batt lasts me all day... It can last almost two, but I just rotate them every morning anyways - fresh batts are always the best...
I try to do that too, but I don't always get a day.
You are lucky. :)

I didn't think you weren't teasing. :)
You're right though, it seems every area has the potential for severe weather or calamity.

I sometimes wonder about how the hobby aspect of vaping may have gotten in the way of it's original purpose - to stop smoking. I've been a hobbyist to some degree yet here I sit, vaping the same mod, liquid and topper that I did a year ago. Funny how many people got concerned about which way to vape, as if it matters. With my trusty vape beside me 24/7, I'm happy to be a non smoker.

This post reminded me about something I have been wondering about. Is it best to put the batteries in the charger before plugging it in or best to plug the charger in and then insert the batteries.......

The reason I wonder and the reason I plug the charger in first......When I plug in the wall wart I always see a spark as it is going into the wall socket. When charging my devices with onboard chargers (various isticks) I always plug in the wall wart with usb charging cable attached because I am afraid that spark will have an affect on the charging circuit on my devices. Am I over thinking this? Is there a right or wrong way of doing this simple action?

Although I'm happy vaping essentially the same gear for more than 2 years now, I do believe the hobby aspect of it during the first year was an important factor to me in "getting over" cigarettes psychologically.

I usually plug in first.

I personally don't think it's possible to overthink when it comes to batteries, and I think that's a really good question.
I think the more informed, when it comes to battery safety, the better.

I honestly don't know the answer to that, and it might even depend on your charger.

I put my batteries in first, then plug in, to a protected outlet.
I'm pretty .... about battery stuff, so I might have checked that when I first started with the external batteries, but I also tend to forget things, and it's been awhile since I've read up on a lot of that.

I would check with the mfr. of your charger and see if it says, or possibly someone else will come along that knows.
I'm heading out for a few hours, but I'll look up mine when I get home and see.
Mine is the Tenergy (TN270). I got it when I got my first ProVari set ups, and I got it from them.
My newer charger is the same company, (I think) but not sure about the model number, it charges two as well...again, purchased at ProVape.
Interesting question though, I'm glad you brought it up.
I'll check out mine, cuz I could be doing it all wrong myself. :)

There is a hobby side to this. I have enough hobbies and would rather take the money not spent on smokes and apply it there. That said I am vaping on the same tank that I quit smoking on 19 month ago. I start every day with it. Same tank, same flavor for a couple of hours then change up flavors. I have only upgraded from a Evod battery to a VV3 which I did a couple of weeks after.

My backup stash all vapes the same way. They are rebuildables and replaceable battery.
