Wow, after looking at all these setups I thought I was gettin fancy when I got my Volt Spinner 1300mAh the other day LOL. Now I feel like such a simpleton and still quite the noob! However, today is my 100th day of vaping! (yay me LOL)

But I must give you guys/gals mad props on your setups! Such ingenuity at work. Seems we have enough collective genius on this forum to build our own nuclear reactor...but I wouldn't suggest that. Obama might decide to send some drones our way ;)

And Tarten, your little note is just so childish and immature...you sir are being a big poopy britches :p Oh wait, you are wearing a skirt ;)

Darn Scots, what was the line from "Braveheart", oh yeah--King Edward Longshanks: "The problem with Scotland, is that it is full of Scots."

Just kidding Tarten, you know I love ya...in a very brotherly-like platonic way of course :2cool:

How do you guys get the wick in the coil without it fraying? I tried with 3mm and it was terrible, had to wrap a new coil around the wick old school.

With silica you rotate it to the opposite direction it unwinds while inserting it to the coil. If that makes sense.

How do you keep the wick straight without a hotspot on the first coil? I always have to bend the wick towards the center post.

Simple washer helps on the AGA-T/T+/T2. Or you can use a washer from something like a Vivi Nova

My first dual coil.
32awg 4/3 wraps 2.5mm silica .9ohm
built on my trivecca (v3/rainbow/whatever)

Now This is Flavor Country.

I tried dual coil on mine but the TH was way too intense.
Do you have the air hole lined up something like this?

First little 28 awg coil. Getting into rba is a weird experience. Rolling the wicks. Wrapping the coils. Teasing the hotspots. I want to be able to wrap those ridiculously pretty coils and wicks too. But for now. This is all I get on my first ihy.

Well done! If you're wrapping coils that look like that on your first attempt, it's only a matter of time before you're wrapping coils that look exactly the way you want them to look.

Here it is on my 3rd attempt! The first 2 I was experimenting with wicks with a few issues. Best way to go for me was with a 30mm width #500 SS unoxidized mesh giving a 2mm solid wick. 6 wraps of AWG 30 A1 Kanthal @2.1 Ohms running at 3.88V/7.2W!

Vape on! It's windy out here, does produce tons of vapor!

Taste and vapor are amazing! I'm gonna pull the trigger on a 2nd one!

300mm is just shy of 12 inches...

I was bored again.
Grabbed some used #400 mesh, x length of 2mm silica, x length of 0.5x0.1mm Kanthal A-1 ribbon.
I cut the mesh to x size and wrapped it around the silica, not too tight, just so that I can barely slide a new 2mm silica in there if I need to, pretty much so that the silica isn't there loose just snuggly in place..
Wrapped 3/2 turns of the ribbon, ended up with 1ohms according to Vamo. Driving it on a Smoktech 'The Natural'.

Works really well, as you can see the silica collects the juice from the bottom of the Phoenix Dome (Wyvern/Rainbow V3/etc) quite nice. Vapor really nice with 45/55 and flavor awesome as it always is with the coil on the side of the Dome right in front of the air hole.

Vape on!
