I like this idea, will have to try it out in the next few days!

Works great on decks w/ small holes. Not needed on decks w/ gaping holes like AGA-TD:

Tried my hand at a clapton coil with 30g over 26g, instead of wrapping the 30 the entire length of the wire I only did it where the actual coil would be, and then added another wrap of the plain 26g on each end. Turned out to be about .5 and performs very nicely. I'm not sure how to do a dual coil with the clapton coils, even at .5 this coil was a bit cool, I'm thinking .4 would have been better. And dual .4s is lower than I prefer to go. Might have to stick with single coils with this style. Or maybe go to a 28g core with 32g wrapping, that should probably perform well at .8 - 1 ohm resistance levels.

Second pic is some recent twisted 28g coils.

Here's a good Clapton in action, the pic doesn't do it justice but you can tell the juice is literally fizzing out from between the coils, BIG vapor!

Here's an awesome nano-coil I made yesterday, hot from the inside out! 1 second pulls on this puppy.

A nano-coil I actually managed to wick(literally with a sewing needle lol 28g) it actually did do better with a wick through it.

And here's my cat thinking about eating the scary sizzling and popping thing :p (no animals were harmed in the making of this post).

Nice clapton brother I think clapton's are almost too cool myself, they put off great vapor...after they warm up lol. I've been looking for ways to make them hotter/faster and I think I found a (pain in the ....) way to do it; smaller wires. I wrapped 28gauge over 30gauge, and it's hard as balls, however it also hits hard as balls too :D, I'd try a higher gauge dude.

A simple quad coil 26ga "parasplit" build on the datouch customs Taurus. Starts out as a parallel vertical wrap 7/64bit @ 4 wraps then splits each ends into a 3/32bit 5/6 wrap on each side. The heat built up from the parallel vert coil travels fast to each of the 5/6 wraps. This was ohming at a conservative .29Ω (cool vape for me). You can build this at around .2Ω or .18Ω ish with less wraps on the split ends more like 3/4 or 2/3. This build has plenty of air pockets for airflow. If you have any questions regarding this build please feel free to ask on dm email or on fb and I will respond to you sooner or later. Thanks for checking it out guys and stay tuned for more future projects.

A quick firing video of the "parasplit" build. Looks like I over dripped a bit by the looks of all the boiling liquid near the end of the video. Then it starts to really get going. But if you have any questions just ask. Seems alot of people on fb are already trying this build out. Happy Friday to you all and have a great weekend! Hope to see some of you at the ivbarberlounge and vapelifeco meet on sunday. Hmu for any questions about this build.

Nice build man, I just saw you on coilporn/reddit this morning, nice builds brother!, I made an octo-coil alot like this but I like the idea of it heating up faster with 6. Mine looked alot like an umbrella coming from above.

-P.S. I really liked your change out-able coil idea, I had to make me one once I saw that :p.

Favorite so far. .8mm dual nano coils at .5 ohms using 28 kanthal. 15 wraps.

Nothing better than dual nano's, nice taste my friend! Other than maybe a big single nano :p, I just finished wrapping my 28g nano on 30g, it's so tiny , it almost looks like a thicker gauge from a distance, I'm getting amazing 1 second pulls.

I was going through my old coils to find rusty looking ones for my rusty coil thread (I'd love to hear your guy's opinions, if you want to check in!) and figured a coil boneyard shot was in order:

Is it total OCD/hoarding behavior to save some of your old builds? I can't be alone! ;)
I use the old blucig boxes to hold my old coils :p, the irony. You know in case of the VAPOCALYPSE!

Posted on your newest thread. I am willing to help you make a coil out of your name! lmk

Verry neat looking install

I have not tried a Nano coil just stating that first. The diameter of your coil look very close to mine, but I've tried a few dual coil builds with a cotton bed and no wick thru the coils. Beast vapor production but it turns my cotton brown, not burning, just altering the color which never happens. Do you have any issues like this? Is it normal for a bed to change like that?

I've also tried a cotton bed with just a small strand going thru the coil to help juice and it was a big downgrade =[

I posted this on the Kayfun lite thread because I was having all sorts of trouble getting a build that had any flavor at all. I ended tugging the coil up a bit more than where everyone was telling me to put it (1.5-2mm above air hole) since the flavor is still muted. 28 gauge Kanthal, 9 wraps around 2.4mm screwdriver, 1.8 ohm, wicked with cotton. This worked great for me, warm not hot vapor, great flavor.

Verified - 0.8 Ohm Coils will in fact work on the ProVari. Even though it has an amp limit of 3.5 Amps - you can push it ever so slightly past the limiter without issue. However IF - the keyword is IF - you plan on driving it past the 2.9V limit - you WILL trip the switch. I looked at some charts and 2.9V @ .8 Ohms was slightly over the 3.5 Amp limit. To be exact I used the calculator and it generated these numbers:

Watts: 10.5125
Volts: 2.9
Amps: 3.625
Ohms: 0.8

So as you can see - maybe the Amp limiter will prevent operation at anything OVER the 3.625 Amps? I don't know, but I checked it on various devices - Ohm readers, Provari, Ohm readers again, Provari again - afterwards I just said screw it and fired it up. Worked like a charm. Just pulled the calculator out and saw something funny. At the same Ohm rating but changing the volts, you can see a fairly large change:

Watts: 11.25
Volts: 3
Amps: 3.75
Ohms: 0.8

So again, a small increase in amperage may or may not trip the switch (.125 Amp difference) vs the .20 Amp difference in the 3.0 Volt setting.

Also for the guy that wasn't able to drive his .9 Ohm coil - you probably had the Voltage set too high. Again according to calculations you should be able to run it at the following settings:

Watts: 10.6777778
Volts: 3.1
Amps: 3.44444444
Ohms: 0.9

Again, you could try it at 3.2 Volts but that brings the Amps up to 3.55555556. So you MAY or MAY NOT be able to run it. Which makes me wonder - not all devices are created equally?
