:(

you do realize that even on the VTCs 0.15Ω is the limit, rt? @ 0.14Ω you'd be at 30a

Yes I realize that. This is no where near .15 I've vaped .2 ohm builds and couldn't take it. I'm gonna guess I'm between .35 - .4 on this build. I'll meter it when I get home from my Easter stuff to verify

assumptions are why people get hurt....

do us all a favour, and don't post sketchy builds on here without knowing what you have...

someone less knowledgeable might try to replicate the build, and hurt themselves...

I get where your coming from. monkey see monkey do. there is no amount of experience that can replace hard facts and that i should check every build even tho i have been building for some time now and am running safe batteries (sony vtc4's) in my mods. my bad people. be sure to check every build you put on and always run the safest batteries!

on a side note...i did rebuild it today because for some reason the flavor was becoming really flat only after 2 days. 24g kanthal, 5 wraps on a 1/8 drill bit. dual coil. right at .3 ohms. its a little warm for my liking but i only have to pull for a couple seconds to get a great vape lol

3mm id w/ 24g @ .3Ω
woah

I just coiled up my new copper 510 connection Helios with dual 6 wrap coils @0.3Ω, 28g 2-strand twisted kanthal, as a way to get a good baseline on the new atty.

pretty much what you have there, but just with twisted 28. I did start with the connections like that too, but was getting a hot-spot on the long negative lead, so I have em connected to the nearest positive instead.

I LOVE IT

Here's the longest, most perfect nano-coil you've ever seen. It's not in an RDA yet because I have a perfect dual nano-coil setup right now that I just can't waste, THAT and I'm not sure what I want to do with it; I'm thinking about wrapping it in a single loop, kinda like a super-nano clapton coil without the inside line.

-Below it is a parallel super-duper nano-coil (2 strands of 28ga, wrapped on a 32ga kanthal), I was going to add 2 (4) more wraps, but the 32 gauge broke :glare:.

I'm new to Imgur so I hope this works :p

devil horns spittin.jpg This thing shoots two perfect devil-horns straight into my airflow, it's came out to be about 1 drop per hit!
That's that vertical nano-coil I can't bring myself to get rid of just yet, (kind of a dragon coil elaboration) it absolutely catapults the vapor, after finally learning the nature of the beast (that it needs to be wrapped TIGHT, and a little less than at least half of the coil needs to be popping out) I've got it spitting like a rattle-snake, it uses so much juice I'm almost tempted to replicate it twisted just to tame it little. My rock climbing logic made me tie a lark's head (cow hitch) knot around the coil so I could really cinch down on it, and keep it from unraveling, I've found this allows you to get a 360 degree wrap on the coil tightly, as opposed to just wrapping it on one side like the original dragon-wicking. To make sure the bottom side was blocked (also one of the reasons it's vertical) I tightly tucked a fluffy cotton cloud between it and the deck so there's no escape but straight up into the path of my airflow.

Especially if you haven't learned the mysterious ways of cotton (or you wicking material), I first got into building, and I wanted to jump in the deep end so bad I built a super-nano coil (which I'd seen someone do 7 wraps on, ungodly low ohms), and I thought I'd "kick it up a notch" by removing 2 wraps.

~Let's just say I didn't have enough juice, or the right size airhole. WHAT A THROAT HIT!

(After that I got a PhD in ohm's law, and became a master of atomizer physics)
