H-Dripper. 24g 5 wrap micros with a single piece of Kanthal. 0.28. Might need a better wick setup though. This one holds a lot of juice but leaves a good amount in the tails.

Closer look, the wick is just cotton stuffed behind it. It sort of shows up in the pic, but when you fire the coil, the vapor spins/loops in a pretty fluid motion. I guess, hence, why someone named this the hurricane coil ;)

seems more like a tornado coil

take a strand of each wire and twist them up together or braid the four dif strands......they are all fairly high resistant so should work good or if not leave the 28g out

i also feel like going mad and doing something dif But my coil is hitting hard and tastes good, not sure what i 'd be chasing.... maybe i'll just make a fresh one the same as i have already installed...

theres something about a fresh coil that tastes good, something that replacing the cotton with fresh cant fix

the longest i've gone without changing the coil is 3 days with a 4strand 32g braided @ 0.5Ω , admittedly is part
due to only having one mech, ive got use to it so much i dont use the spare vw i have here anymore :)

too late

I played with a bunch of innovative and completely bogus designs, then just made a simple twisted 30g single micro @ 0.7, wicked it and put it away.
(this is on my spare, mostly unused, juice-testing RDA)

I too have a pretty much perfect setup in my main RDA rt now - throws clouds, wicks amazingly well (holds like 1ml of juice yet feeds it all to the point of being dry without giving a dry hit). Couldn't ask for anything better. And that's why I'm bored with it :D

I can barely remember the days of prebuilt protank coils. What the hell did I do with myself back then? Seems so...

So yesterday I was bored with my friend and decided to waste a lot of kanthal lol. Build a huge clapton coil using 28 gauge. But that wasn't it. The core is triple twisted and of course the outside is also
28. In order to get it through the post I had to drill it out, which went pretty well (thought the post would snap off lol). anyways out came out to .37 ohms which I thought it seemed a bit high for the build.

Back to basics. 0.9 ohm, 10 wraps. Realised how much cotton you really need. Not a sliver, an actual transparent wisp of cotton is all you need. I don't even let it come out of the hole visibly. Noticed that the less wick sticking out, the more flavour I get because the only thing getting soaked is the wick in contact with the coil and the 3-5mm excess coming out of the coil.
