You know I'm loving it ;) that coil is 1.9 ohm and you guys are right about the little coils... they spike the punch. I'm really enjoying this one on my VAMO around 14w which is surprisingly fun for some reason, lol. Wicking like a champ.

I haven't found a way to use the skinny stuff in a genny but for the right application it's just awesome. I think next I'm gonna try building an infinity coil for my vision eternity :D

I really enjoy learning from the pros here and trying to build stuff that works and works well

The point of twisting the legs in the coil is to halve the resistance on the approach to the coil. This avoids the hot spot (legs glow before the coil due to the coil being heatsinked by the e-liquid) and causing the liquid to burn. The infinity coil in that pic was for a Vivi Nova build and I plan to use a similar setup on my Aga-T when I get a chance. It is a single coil electrically, but allow a dual wick setup to be inserted into a standard Vivi Nova type cup. It will have a different configuration in the Aga-T and I am leaning towards the quad type setup that guppy has got, but it just wont be a sub ohm coil.

Here's the skinny stuff in a genny...

This coil doesn't suffer from hot legs.

I tried but couldn't get a good pic of the coils without the wicks in, there's just so much twisting and turning it's hard to discern which wire is which... so you'll have to take my word that this is dual 32g infinity coils ;) although considering how thoroughly intertwined they are I think I might call this "duel coils", lol.

I taped two 1/16" drill bits together and wound, more like braided, the coils around them

I have that coil in my IGO-L right now. Works decently, not crazy about it though. I taped 2 nails together that are the same size as what I use for micro coils with German silica. Couldn't get the German silica in though, but 2mm twisted worked.

This is skinny Nextel. I have to say I'm quite pleased with it. The vape is right up there in genny territory.

edit- for clarity.. this isn't an infinity coil. It is two infinity coils intertwined. There are two separate strands of 32g Kanthal each wrapped into its own infinity coil.

Ahh. Thanks for the clarification, I was confused by the original wording. Mines just a single wire infinity coil. I haven't even tried a dual build yet.

Lol, reminds me of that commercial that's been on lately.. it's infinity plus infinity ;)

Now if I could wrap up a microscopic infinity coil that's really long then wrap that into a bigger infinity coil we might have infinity TIMES infinity on our hands, along with a nice rip in the fabric of space-time...

pdib I have a question for you. I have some 28 and 26g K A-1 in the mail and I'm planning to try your preferred .6ohm setup with the xc-116. Looks like your coil is 6/5, do you wrap it on a drill bit first and if so what size? 1/8"?

Let's see, Genisis? I fold the FAT xc-116 (3mm OD). Pass what will be pos. lead throught the eye (don't ask me why), once that gets around, I count 5 wraps. So, yeah, 5/6. (I'm really not paying attention to this stuff anymore, just mindlessly wrap whatever I feel like at the moment). Here's the pic I would dissect to answer you accurately ↓ . Basically, I had been (when I was paying attention) doing a true 5 wrap (leads leave the wick at same arc-point of circle) on ~7/64". 28 Kanthal would net .8Ω, 28 Nichrome (27K) was .7Ω, 26 K = .6, and 26 N.= .5Ω. With the folded 3mm nextel I was wrapping right on the wick and not afraid of wrapping too tight. (It would take some effort to choke the wick)

Next step here ↑ would be to cut one leg just under the coil. Then trim the longer one as you see fit.
