Why would you do that to your velocity!?? And in that last glow pic it looks like you have the hard short of the century and your deck is actually heated so hot that it's glowing lol.

I hated the velocity in every way; anemic taste, weird airflow, unreasonably tall...

I solved it by using a rogue cap so it has top airflow, so leak-free and reduced chamber for much better flavor.

and no short, just the reflection of the coil on the polished walls

it is vaping really great now!

... are you planning to do with 18 guage???

I use it for arched Claptons & I'm sure I'll do some hanger work with it and find some other uses for it
And as for the Sapor, I'm going back to the shop that I bought it from, I've literally had it for 7 days. Hopefully they replace it either in full or swap the deck for one of their display models.

5 strand 30g core 32g arched Clapton in my replaced Sapor. This one seems like it will be normal, the first one I had definitely had a defective insulator out of the box. I gave a full work over inspection on replacement Sapor my B&M gave me and everything seems good so far. I may end up paralleling these coils with 24g or 26g..but don't know if I should lol.

Staged Heating, 24 N80 36 Kanthal Fused Clapton paralled with 20G Kanthal on the Petri v1.5 by DotMod.

.1 Ohms firing at only 100 watts (3.3v) on the SnowWolf. This thing spits hot, dense, delicious vapor. Just it needed some break in time before the flavor really started to kill it.

I'm jealous. How are you liking the 1.5? What's the most wire you can shove into one of the post holes? I'm liking the build you got in there now, I wonder if it would fit 3x26g/34g aliens...

It's great IMO. The thing came to me perfect out of the box and the deck is so great. I forgot the exact post size but I haven't had many things that don't fit. A helix coil was about the only thing that did fit into one of the holes. Also this current build I had to split the wire into the Two holes, but both leads being fused 24 and 20g are massive and that's not the norm.

If I send you some 6 wrap aliens 3x26g core with a 34g wrap would you put them in?

Sure, if you want I'll try and make some real quick to give you an idea. Just will either be 36 or 32 I'm out of 34.

I think the largest thing I've put in it is an alien 3 26 cores wrapped with 32
So a 3 core 26g/32g wrap fits in the v1.5? I have to make 3 core 28/34g for the regular Petri

That's a 26/36 I just threw together... Bit sloppy, but there's still room leftover. You have to pinch the ends of a 26/32, to fit them right. I'm sure 26/34 would work fine though.

The only two builds I've done that haven't been fitable into one hole on it is a helix coil or the staged heater with 20g

I ask to look at the Petri v1.5 so much, I think I'm annoying my buddy at my B&M lol. One day. My cleanest fused build used with the help of a swivel, 26g core / 36g wrap came in at 0.2 on the nose. taking a break from gently working on my arched claptons... already broke 1 tapping too hard on the wire.:grr: I made so much fused Im going to throw together a staged build.

I was doubtful even when I bought it, but it's worth the money. The two RDAs I can't put down right now are that and the Petri. 2 Posts all the way!

2 posts does make mounting intricate coils a helluvalot easier and typically their higher off the deck so you don't have to worry about suffocating your coil with cotton ( shout to T Forde).

Exactly, for nickel especially they're a dream.... I just can't sacrifice any of my two posters to nickel. Ni80 and kanthal just produces a better taste to me.

What shop has a Petri 1.5 around here and how much are they charging for it? Problem with the central nj area is that they don't carry high end attys' over $50ish. I'm trying to find a Hyon retailer and it's soo hard to find round Central NJ
Little sneak peak on what I made for my hobo today also..got my brass all polished up too
