Was screwing around with razorbacks yesterday. Didn't finish wrapping it though cause I learned some quite valuable things.
It's a razor square razor square razor

Also, did this for kicks just to see how big it was gonna turn out. It's a .3mm ribbon Mohawk alien

It looks cool but I scrapped it cause I can't make up my mind if I actually want build it and what concept should I incorporate into it. Also I forgot to double stitch it  whatevs lol

It would be double stitched for sure, I'm just thinking what and how I would lay it out. waiting on my KP wire to come. God I hate waiting for vape mail especially when I have a build already in my mind but no wire to play with :pop:

What size to ribbon is that dude? Never seen ribbon that thick, only some manually flattened 22g and its a pita to work with....
It's 0.3mm lol, it looks cool but it's pretty massive. Plus a lot of ribbon goes into that coil. Hence why I'm debating if I actually want to do that. I have better uses for ribbon at the time lol

A buddy of mine said it's more like a razor back Mohawk. Yeah I suppose

Decided to do something different tonight for a change while I'm waiting for my ribbon to come. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been done yet. Just experimenting cause I'm like out of ideas.

.3mm x what? I suppose .1mm is to thin, as I've used .5mm x .1mm, and .8mm x .1mm and both are thin. Is it .3mm x .2mm or .5mm x .2mm? I'm referring to size in thickness not width.

It's .3mm x .1mm dude

So I decided to have another go at this interlocking alien business. First part is done. It's an interlocking double stitched Mohawk alien. Gauges - 3x28 core, 2x38 interlocks, 2x44 stitches

0.3x0.1 it looks.
Are they framed? They look like it but I'm not 100%.
And no glow shot? C'mon man!
Nice looking coil. Care to share the core sizes?

Looks awesome. I'm still waiting on wire...
I have 100' of gauges 22 through 40 and 0.3 x 0.1mm. 1100' in total for about $36 shipped. All Kanthal so I can do dual coils.
I'm getting impatient here.

Glow shot of the ribbon Mohawk? No. Not enough for a serious coil. Plus I was just screwing around with it. Not serious. Just wanted to see how that would look. I don't mount coils unless I'm actually going for it. I plan for days sometimes on the next build.

I experiment a lot guys. I'm sure you can tell by now. Anyway, cut the living sh. T out of my finger today. But FINALLY got this. The regular interlocking double stitch alien wasnt easy because the cores didn't want to stay parallel.

This is a different thing than normal aliens. Interlocks let alone stitched . Anyway here's some pics to start. Gonna install it and take more proper pictures later.

Thank you. First time ever doing interlocks. It was definitely a good learning experience for future. I went through several tries and good amount of wire before I got the Mohawk and even more wire and time with regular flat interlocks. But I'm persistent and wouldn't settle for anything I wasn't happy with. I suppose it paid off in the end.
