have you tried a setup like this in my first pic?> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/553309-braided-wire-coils.html

i'll be back later :) .................

have done 3 strand braids - i find they give better flavor than a simple twist

that 4x twist is an experiment, and TBH so far I am impressed. Have never gone over 2x bstwist before. Maybe not as much vaper as the double nano I posted earlier, but it is solid as hell... of course the double coils were fully covered but for one end on each, so more vapor is likely to be expected. I ended up burning the top cotton though while chain vaping, so decided on the pillow for this one... as a protest lol

To fit two coils in a small rba rather then having one on top the other

I noticed on another build i did with a single vert it gave good flavour and clouds with the air intake central, i think his names ray lopez did a good vid leaving the cotton nice and fluffy hanging out of the top

or if you had bottom fed air you could put a vert central over the air and pack cotton around the coil so the air go's through the coil

apart from that i dont know any other advantages really

i quite often have coils on a diagonal, then you can turn your top cap which moves the position of the air intake and giving a slightly dif hit :)

Any advantages to verts in a dripper?

that one looks like you have better clouds

i did a dual 8wrap 1/16 3x32g braided 0.4Ω .. nice and tasty :)

Dual single stand 22 gauge 8/9 wrap. Came out to .16 ohms. A bit hot for me but still good flavor and vapor.

I can't really say one way or the other, because I've never used 26G before this build. I can't say whether the difference in the vape is the 26G or the verticals, but it was just something I wanted to try. Verticals are a pain in the ... when you're trying to use only the post holes, so I tried using the post holes for the positive lead and wrapped the negative lead under the screws. I picked this up from a friend at a vape shop, so I just wanted to give it a try. The difference between the post hole and the top of the post is pretty much perfect for using it like that to make a vertical coil, so it doesn't distort the coil at all. Wicking is kind of annoying with verticals, at least in the spirit.

I will try some verticals with 28G, which I've been using almost exclusively for a while, and post up if I think there is anything worth mentioning.

Vertical coils should rightfully have cotton on the outside, not through the center, leaving the bottom and top open. Like a chimney in a Kayfun: still works in a dripper if you pad the wicking right

28 gauge parallel coil build. 7 wraps. Don't know the ohms because I don't have my meter on me so I'm not vaping it much. Thinking its around .2-.25. Warm vapor and decent flavor. I'm only getting about 3 hits off it before I need to re drip lol.

helios? How do you like it?
Have one coming this week
yes sir! I love my helios; that's the only dripper I keep going back to and I've had the chance to play with igo l,w(2&3), trident, patriot, fatty v3 and nimbus

Is that 22 gauge? Also what's it metering at?

Coil Rebuild day for my Russian 91%. Planned on running this on my Provari for a bit so not shooting for sub ohm with this build.

Went with 2 strands of 30G wire that I twisted, then a 6/7 wrap over a 0.098 Gage pin to get a solid 1.2 ohm coil ;)
