My current build and first hand at a twisted setup,
Igo-L, twisted 30 gauge, 9 wraps on 1/16 drill bit 1.3 ohms.
It takes a bit longer to get hot, I'm still trying to get used to the vape as its a very different vape compared to my usual 28 gauge single micro coil. View attachment 333127

Yeah now that you mentioned it, this set up resembles a smoke like a cigar... very slow paced, relaxed.
So if I did less wraps, maybe 6 like you mentioned, would my coil get hotter faster?

definitely, but it would be a little less relaxed, obviously

stil a big chill-down from the dual-coil braided 28 @ 0.3 I'm runnin on my other setup

Dual "Chain Link" coils. 24ga 5 loops of 3/32 I.D chains (two pieces of wire). For cloud chasers I would just make 4 loop chains. This can be done with 26 and 24ga wires. I will post up a in depth how to on this build tommorrow along with a firing clip. Bottom left pyrex cap to show clearance. This coil is very easy to make but very hard to get to fire. One side took me 4 different sets of links due to them popping when test firing. If you decide to try them out please proceed with caution as shorts and hotspots will definitely appear. There are tricks to getting rid of them. Build at your own risk and use a 30amp battery. If you can use a 26650 battery. Stay tuned for the fire clip and an in depth look. Thanks!

I needed to rebuild my Kraken (clone), so I decided to build one for the Gi2!

Dual 4 wrap micro coils, 27G Bagnet wire, wrapped directly on stainless rope with a mesh wrap on the top!

Came out at 0.19 Ohms which I could push to 59W before the 18Amp cutoff

Great crisp flavour but shreds the throat! A much better vape down around 45W........................did I realy say DOWN around 45W?

8 wrap with 20 gauge kanthal (oh mah gawd! :p) around a 5/64 drill bit. Cant find my ohm meter right now so don't know what it's reading so I won't use it or clip the excess off in case I need to add 1 or 2 more wraps on it. Just thought id show out because it's my first time working with 20 gauge, it's basically like working with a paperclip! Once I find my meter I'll post back with it wicked and firing. Hoping it's an awesome coil!

I'm sure he's experienced enough to be safe working with low builds, that being said, posting that you did it without being safe about it isn't really necessary and definitely not good for the newbies watching...

cause, with his impressive 148 posts and actual firing of the thing without metering it, he totally seems like he's experienced

I'm waiting for the "experienced ecigarette user and prominent member of ECF, the largest ecigarette community in the world, suffered severe 3rd degree burns earlier today from his highly dangerous and ban-worth, unregulated ecigarette device. Currently the man, who by all accounts was a responsible and well-versed ecigarette user, is in critical condition. Doctors hope he will regain mobility and feeling in his hand, and maybe regain a modicum of eyesight, with therapy and several rounds of surgery. The fate of his young daughter, who reportedly was present at the time of the incident, is unknown" article, followed the next week by new attempts to ban and restrict ecigs in his locale and the nation generally.

New Wide Bore Trippy Tip cobalt pyrex
Although I think it's an awful color combo with the copper, it's a great looking tip. Was that one of their really expensive 1 of a kind tips or the more affordable ones?

Bert's newest creation.
They come in clear and cobalt. Slanted and flat top.
The clear flat measures:
ID 8.5mm
OD 13 mm
ID of base hole 4 mm
Total ht. 30 mm
Height above deck 24 mm

The cobalt about the same but 2mm shorter.

I just got them today so had to put it on something. Great construction as expected from Bert. Easy dripper and wonderful mouth feel. I always think a Trippy Tip makes vape taste better.

That's a reasonable price. I have to agree, there's a noticeable taste difference between materials used for tips. Glass and stone (things like jade, etc) do make a better taste or perhaps more accurately add less foreign taste than plastic and metal. And they do feel nice in the mouth. Warm up quickly like metal and aren't cold to start like plastic, don't melt like plastic, don't get burning hot like metal can.
