Ooooh. I'm really liking this build. This is my lowest resistance coil yet, at ~0.2 ohms. 28 gauge twisted, 4 wraps on a Magneto mech mod and a fresh 4.2V battery. Hit's like a train, and I love the instant ramp up. Excellence vapor production, and for only having 4 wraps I'm amazed at the flavor produced.

What kind of battery are you using? Got a 20A LG that has a safe lower Ohm of 0.5. Would like to try that low Ohm.

My first try at twisted coils. Mutation X, 28ga, 3mm (2/17ish), 8 wraps. The coils aren't exactly alike, but they glow evenly. The vape is fantastic for my standards.



0.9 Ohm increase after compressing them on the RDA.

Haven't put a legit attempt into one of these yet because I haven't had to much luck with the lil bit of time i spent trying to make em, but how do wrap em? on a table wit two sets of needle nose? or what? and how's it vape?

Same 26g zipper wire in parallel with 24g, cloud aint as big as the fused clapton and zipper wire build but flavor is fantastic and its right around .2ohms



If you notice the picture before it was every flashed youll see the last two wraps on the right had a lil gap, and it closed up wit once squeeze after the first full flash

I'll show you......... After cutting your wire (I usually use 24 gauge for these), make a 90 degree bend at one end for your first leg......

after making the bend, hold the wire in a set of round tiped pliers like in the picture, leg end out, wire down. Use the round shape of the pliers (they have jewelry pliers at WalMart in the craft section that work well) to start your inside coil......

. After you have that first coil, you hold the coil flat in your pliers, and wrap each next wrap around the first......

notice that the part being currently wrapped is close to the pliers, I've found this keeps it straighter and flatter. After you have enough coils, use your pliers to make the last leg

As for how it vapes........ You will want an atty with good air flow. I've noticed that these put out more vapor then macro coils done at lower builds....i.e. mine is built at .4 but hits like a .2
Only builds like Claptons or zippers put out more flavor, but still not more vape, at least on my dark horse

that's how i started to try one a week or so ago w/ 24g and got the first coil good but was struggling with the second and then the third with keeping them uniform and nice and equally spaced, so I stopped, but i'll be trying one again, the picture is one I made up just for fun, it's not vapeable as is but I was just messing around

Have you tried a tidal wire coil yet?
