Bam, 14 ply .5ka1 w/ 38n80. Was easier then I thought. Wrapping the coil was the hardest part. This coil is a monster. Dunno what I'm gunna do with it..

nice superfecta, the staggered wrap on the stapled fused clapton i do by hand mate cus its only 5 & a half inches for the two coils it dont take long 
Hey guys, when building with ribbon wire, is there a go to size that's best for twisted builds and framed Claptons?
Claptoned helix ftw! It's 26AN80/38N80 helixed with 32N80/38N80 wrapped around a 3mm bit at .17ohm. The flavor is to die for as well as the vapor density. Was kind of annoying claptoning 38 around 32, but so worth it. Only sort of issue I have with it is the ramp up time is a little too slow. I need instant satisfaction like from 3 core aliens.
Also I'm usually a mechnut still... I just like the simplicity to a solid mech. Though on the go my sig150 has yet to fail me. I'd really like to throw down for a DNA200, but I went on an Atty spree over the last month. Ordering the Phenotype and the Aeolus kind of slaughtered the last of my vape budget.... Also buying a lot of Anarchist wire. It's nice and easy to work with, but flavor wise I barely notice the difference from lightning vapes 26g N80.
Usually .5mmx1mm is the go to for framed Claptons and .7 for tiger build if I'm not mistaken for the twisted builds.

I've found flavor on n80 ribbon to be subpar. Also you have to factor in resistance. Most stapled builds are already quite low, and the n80 doesn't help that much. Pretty colors though.
I like N80 more personally I find it likes to stick together better, but I've just been using K1 since I ordered way too much of it. Also in general I like the flavor waaay more from N80.
Either way personally I hate working with ribbon wire. I've had too many time intensive builds ruined because it doesn't like to stay in place for me.

Turns out I can spin 1/2 staggered fused at full speed and they look nice. Not as nice as fully staggered, but these are something different. I'll stuff some ribbon in between tomorrow.
2x26 36/38 all n80. I tapped on it a few times with the hammer, but it looks odd as only the 36 got flattened.

24g and 26g parallel dualies. Really nice in the Vector.
Is that an authentic pi2 I see? How do you like the atty? And as for ribbon with SSFC's, go for .5mm, framed I would use .4mm or .5mm, tiger wire/twisted, use anything. Try making a reef coil, they're pretty sweet. I have a few reef sticks laying around somewhere. Basically twist one strand of 5' ribbon until the twists in the wire are consistent and then Clapton the twisted ribbon around anything you want. I found that if you're going single strand core, 24g is the highest I'll go for a .5mm x.1mm twisted ribbon reef coil.

@Deap You got a pheno-L & an Aeolus v2 last month? I wish my vape budget was higher lol but I got bills to pay and a dog to feed. How's the Aeolus in terms of flavor? I must admit the pheno-L looks awesome but I've been considering an Aeolus for a while now because of the top air & build deck. I'm going to order my Whiteout DNA 200 in probably the first week of October, basically once the first run of CloudMaker Tech's mod's get to people's hands. I've been hearing a TON of issues with first run DNA 200 mods from all makers so far...especially Hana Modz which is kind of surprising to me.

No this month they're both on the way, pheno hasn't shipped and it's been almost a week and a half so I'm assuming it's backordered, but the Aeolus is arriving any day, I'll post pics and my opinion of it when it gets here.
Yes it broke the vape budget, I recently upped it with my pay raise, that's where the raise went. Not to mention I went overboard last month grabbing a praxis mod, the petri 1.5, and a authentic Velocity, but all three are very much worth it. I literally use only those two attys now, and I had to grab the praxis to match the petri in brushed gold hahah. I still live the praxis it has such a low voltage drop in brass and it's my perfect vape with the petri holding dual aliens. I still personally think that the DNA200 chip has too low an ohm tolerance that the sensitivity it take to TC can't properly be measured at the quick heat a titanium or nickle coil will generate. The Snow Wolf will be my go to till they finalize a solid DNA200.
Also all this talk of flavor made me dust off the old Derringer with a 26AN80/40N80 standard Clapton 6 wraps around 2.5mm clocking in at .25ohm.
Sometimes simple is a nice change, but I still like my aggressive sub .2ohm flavor chucking builds so much more...
Also don't judge for the one crap screw. I lost one and no longer use the Derringer/show it off enough to care about it hahaa

About an hour and half dedicated to this single coil build. Such dense dense dense vapor. Perfect for tricks and o's. 24g n80 claptoned with 28g n80 then flattened and mirror polished with sandpaper. Paralleled with 24g n80 flattened and polished. Sitting at . 1 ohms.
DISCLAIMER: do not attempt to do mirror builds with out a ultrasonic cleaner there is a lot of metal shavings that come off while making this build.
