Saw Slippy do a Z type coil on a Velo type deck. This is my Aromamizer. Did a 24k1/36k1 fused Clapton came in at .3 ohms. I use this configuration in my stumpy so why not here. Working quite well in my Aromamizer filled with Wakonda. Thanks for the idea SLIPPY.

I think i have a dual 4wrap vert 24k at 3id in my aromamizer atm, its been pretty dam good but i may try what you've done once i come to need a wick change, ita be rude not to change the coils while i'm at it

Yes. 2.5m ID. I put the hammer and anvil to it as well. Did you put yours in a Velocity? I think yours was one of your braided coils. I finally pulled my dual vertical claptons in my Aromamizer and put in that fused Clapton for a change. Very happy with it.No worries Wharf, thanks for the shout brother

First semi-successful attempt at a smaller gauge alien. 3x30K/40K, 2.0mm ID, 0.15Ω
Nice to see everyone back on the thread. I personally have not made any coils for awhile now.
Only standard 24 ga Gplat to get me by. Wires came in bulk and now I didn't even touch them.

Man, how do you work with such fine wire. What's the overall resistance of your build and what RDA is that? Nice work! I have to get a macro lighted desk lamp. I think mine is 10Xs. Gets me where I need to be but...
Thanks - it's 0.45Ω per coil, so it comes out at 0.15Ω for the build. Like I said in the post, it's my first time being able to do it semi-successfully. You can see a few blemishes in the wire, but overall I'm pretty happy with it. The RDA is a Fishbone.

If so Wharf that is a Subzero rda, i also have a 30mm Temple rda which has the same two post design, I have a big arss alien build in that
Here's something else ive been playing with, i'd imagine it being a good vape, just like a Clapton the braid here is sandwiched between the wick and heating wire or main wire
How do you guys do braids over a core? I've been trying to do loop braids over a core, but the core keeps getting bent up, or becomes part of the braid instead of staying straight through the middle.
For the cores i normally use 26g or thicker. I know what you mean though, the core wire gets bent about as you are doing the tightening between each loop pass.

Yea Slip. I'm really enjoying it. Nice change. With all your braided postings I gave it a shot and found a good vid, actually Zophies video and wrapped one up. Plus, my 28g has been sitting around doing nothing so great use for it. I torched it in the vice while pulling up on it with a plier. It straightened it up and tightened it. Pretty cool method.
