Well then maybe you can answer a question that's been haunting me since I made my pre-order: will it screw down flush on my istick TC100W?

I hope you have one to test but if you don't can you just describe the 510 length compared to some other popular attys?

I don't have that istick, BUT....it screws down flush on the RX200...and that mod has a pretty short 510 connector, so I think you will be fine.

(Sorry for the double posts I haven't figured out how to multi-quote on the tapatalk app yet)

My go to build nowadays is a Ti/Ka fused clapton or SS/Ka fused clapton and I don't pulse either, just take a really long time to wipe down the wires with alcohol pre-drill.

Anyway where don't you find that having Ti in that small of a gauge is risky and problematic because of its fragility and extremely fast ramp up at that size?

I haven't had any issues...and when you clapton it that way, ramp up time isn't nearly as quick...remember, on a clapton, the bulk of the current goes through the path of least resistance....which is the larger wire. The outer wire is heated more through its contact with the center wire. Add to that a working TC set up, the wire should never get hot enough to be damaged.

That's pretty. Making me look like a total amateur!

No man! lol i already said you did a good tidy job! :)
It's only because ive had lots of practice making diamond coil's which are pretty much the same process, they were always good flavour coils to.

I rebuilt mine with 22, but it's nowhere near as uniform as that. It came out to 0.16.
Edit
Additional information added.

I used 24g 316SS, its nice and soft :pervy:

4x 12wraps, 2.5id, 0.12ohms, it tastes good :thumb:

Thanks USM. I still worry though because the rx200 has a little "juice cup" that sits about a millimeter below the surface of the mod so attys may appear to sit flush even if they are in actuality not :/. My TM atty "appears" to sit flush on my rx200 but there is quite a noticeable gap when I screw it on my iStick.

Do you have any CompVape attys to compare the 510 pin/thread length to that of the Tsunamis? I'll be very upset if my black tsunami doesn't sit flush on my black iStick. It's meant to replace the black Velocity clone that I have on it now since I think it's dying... The resistance changes with different mods (different 510s) and sometimes it just displays "no atomizer" message leading me to believe there exists a 510/insulator issue.

Thanks. I'll think about ordering some smaller gauge Ti though I already find it annoying how tedious it is to clean/rewick my Ti/Ka fused claptons as I have to take so much care in dry-burning to avoid the TiOxide (sp?) issue.

no compvape attys, but the tsunami 510 is very similar in length to the V1 kanger sub tank (the 7ml one)....longer then the cubis, shorther then the Rose V2...same length as the dark horse.

Going a bit further with that logic, I'd say that since my kanger subtank 7ml sat flush on my istick, there shouldn't be any issues.

I was having issues like that with my tobeco symbiote rda, so what I ended up doing was to disassemble the positive post, slightly modify the peek insulator, then flip it, so the screw just caught a couple threads on the block. This solved that issue, as well as really tightening down the post block. Haven't had any issues with it since. If you want to try this, since you're planning to replace the velocity anyway, I'd be happy to post a pic or two to show you.
