between here and there
First thing I'd like to mention is i love my parents more than anything in the world but I'm not one of those kids who would listen to them if I know for a fact that they're wrong about something, they're human too and they can be wrong or misjudge some situations but then they learn, like we all do with time and experience. I know "wrong" can have different meanings for different people, and in no way am i disrespecting them by telling them that they're wrong... and I'm sure they feel good to know that they have a son who'll not watch something wrong happen in front of him and WILL stand up to speak against it.

You're right and I'm very grateful to have them but caring for someone means correcting them when you know they're being adamant about some little thing that you know is wrong(all humans are at some point)... If i don't look out for them in these situations then who will?(just a way of speaking)
Its good to know that what I spoke about is not within your line of vision.....hopefully, it never will be.

:)

I don't mean to brag but my parents bought me my first vape. They were willing to do anything for their son to get him away from cigarettes. Some people may have their own opinions about such a scenario and say how can he buy his son something addictive... I see a parent who loves his son and wants him to live healthy and smoke free. I need to appreciate my parents more.

I want my kids to respect me because they want to, not because i told them they had to. Respect goes two ways...i want to respect my kids and my kids respect me. When ever my kids mess up they always feel like they let me down, now that is respect that i respect. When i mess up i always feel like i let my kids down and they respect that. Sometimes i learn from my kids because i respect their opinions and sometimes, every now and then, their right. Our kids teach us just as much as we teach them. My kids know the rules in my house and they follow them. They may not like my rules but i never gave them any other option or alternative to following them and they accept that because it's always been that way and all they know. My rules are not up for negotiation so they don't even try. That's how things roll in my house. Other then that i work hard to earn their respect and they work hard to earn mine because they have been taught that respect means something more then having it forced on you. Forced respect means nothing to me as a person or a parent and doubt it does for them either.

My son watches Good Mythical Morning, and I've seen some. They're pretty amusing (I like the "Will it..." segments) but I haven't seen this vaping episode yet. And he hasn't mentioned it to me. I'll have to give it a look.
My daughter has watched all of them and I've watched a few with her. Never heard her mention the vaping episode either. Didn't care much for the show to start with but my respect for them has dropped even lower.

Ok, so I didn't watch the original GMM but I did watch Josh's rebuttal and...wow, that was just nuts. Pretty much the FDA gave Rhett and Link an envelope filled with cash and a script titled "VAPING BAD!". I always thought those two were amusing, harmless tools. Guess I can drop two of those descriptors.

Meanwhile, I've never seen this Ohmboy Josh before but I may give him some attention.

It's amazing how smart your parents get between the time you turn 20 and the time you turn 30.
