Prodigy V1 Mechanical Switches are now for sale. We are only doing a small run (roughly 200 - judging from the poll we took about a month back) Get them while they last. These will have a Limited Life Time Warranty. They will be shipping within the next 7-10 days...

So if we use a 18650 battery with this switch what will be the voltage? Will it be the same as the protege mechanical switch?

If you prefer the 5 volt option, shoot Casey an email and we will put a different contact post on the button so you can keep your 5v happy spot

Hey Tommy, unfortunately not on this run of Prodigy V1's ... We are fazing everything V1 out. I am more than happy to fix your existing Prodigy V1 switch if you'd like.

Hey Tparganos ... If you prefer the 3.7v option, then it will ship with the standard copper contact disk. It will be the same voltage as the Protege mechanical switch.

whew! That question didn't occur to me when I ordered it. I, too, am using the 18650 battery and want to keep running at 3.7v. So I'm glad to hear the standard contact disk will provide that. Thanks again.

would there be any possibility to sell the "5v" ring as well? say, to order a standard mech switch for the V1 and also buy a "5v material" ring to have the "resistored" option for the mech switch? i don't necessarily need it now since i have a V2, but hey, i'm all about having a great backup device

Me too (5v please) - if it's not too late, since I ordered as soon as they were put up. Never know seems like you guys jump between "placing order" and "in the mail" in a blink of an eye!

I sent you a email also, Hope it wasn't too confusing in what I was trying to get across. So far I am waiting for the Cashcap to complete my order. I wanted to asked if this doesn't come in soon will someone take away my order for switches if people start buying them up. I know this has happen before with jc.

Hey Steve can you set aside a couple of the V1 Mech. switches for me, one in 5V and one in 3.7~+6v? Right now i have an open ticket (sent last week thursday #794-4067) and would like to add the switches in with that future order.

On another note just got my V2s in today and i must say Job well done! Fit and finish is a definite improvement. Just working out some kinks though. A couple of my batteries from the V1 would not fit, so i took off the insulation wrapper on the batteries. This caused a short between the batteries and the tube. Because of the clearances, wrapping the batteries in electrical tape would not fit. Painters tape had the same results, and I don't have any shrink wrap big enough for the batts...any suggestions?
