If it's a 2.5 or older it's possible you're exceeding it's built in amp limit, which I think is 2.5 amps. Try dropping the voltage to 3.2 or lower and see if that helps. Good luck!No it was never used and i didnt ask it it worked. It just reads the batt.at 4.1 v which since it'd just taken the batt. Out of the charger. But it reads the atomizer at 1.3 ohms even without the atomizer. And it wont fire the coils.
I might have missed it but which vari is it? 2.5, p3 or?I started at 3.2v what gets me is thT no matter what atty or coil it still reads 1.3 and won't fire.
Will it let you scroll through the menu? Make changes or nada? Its a 2.5
Not sure if still doing repairs but can't hurt to try an email to Bill:Its a 2.5
One other suggestion. Contact the seller if you haven't done so already. Thanks for the email i sent a message, probably won't hear anything till the weekend if then.
18650 Rechargeable Battery 3000mAh 20A-35A Li-ion 3.7V Button Top Rechargeable High Drain H-IMR - OrbtronicThanks to @MikeE3 (and 0mg), I am officially a ProVari V2.5 owner! I looked at Mooch's battery table but didn't see any 18650 button top recommendations (maybe I'm blind). So what do you folks recommend for button top 18650, or is there a way to make a flat top work safely?
You'll have to dig a little bit, but most of the larger battery stores have button top 18650s from good manufacturers. The button tops are identical internally to the flat tops - it's just the positive terminal that changes. If you see a particular flat top on Mooch's list, the button top will perform exactly the same.
I think the restrictions for the 2.5 are: The 2.5 has a 3.5Amp limit and a 15 watt limit imposed by the chip set. So depending on the Ω's of your coil you can't exceed either of those limits when dialing in the voltage setting.
