I only have it in 1 cart so far with the straw mod. Been so impressed and busy I haven't fiddled any more with it yet, so don't know if the straw is even needed. Was trying to gauge what my ml usage is running solely 5V to check against my stash and check a set of batts, so I've only been using this 1 cart for the past day and a half. I can say at 5V dripping only I run through more liquid than using 5V with the cart.

I had been planning on trying the straw mod, but then I tried PTB and haven't looked back. It took a few tries to get the proper roll and length, but once I had my technique dialed in, they started working like a charm.

PTB works great, especially with the Prodigy. It wicks well, absorbs plenty of fluid and is easily washable. I remove, wash and re-roll mine once every couple of days. Practically indestructible. The best part is that I can get two or three times more drags than I can by dripping and the hit is more smooth. It's the perfect solution for when I'm away from home and can't comfortably drip.

Flitzanu - Have you decided on the 801 adapter yet? I can go for quite awhile with an 801 and cart w/PTB filler. Looking at the time now I realize 2 things, 1 I really need to go to bed and 2 it's been well over an hour since my last refill. I say refill instead of topping off because with the PTB I'm putting in something like 30-35 drops when needed. We're talking sitting at the PC vaping away.

For the record I'm using 5V.

i've decided, just haven't gotten around to ordering yet bought some stuff for the Wii, bought some other junk...hehe. i'm definitely GOING to order the 801 soon though. that is helpful about the PTB working in them too, i just can't seem to get it right with the 901. i have a cart that seems to be working now, but the hit is just...pathetic. i may be having issues with how it is soaking the fluid, it may be wound too loose or tight or something.

I did another 801 cart with the PTB without the straw and it doesn't work as well. (The 1st one needed washed.) Could be the way I rolled it. Still works better than the batting IMO.

The one I washed looked pristine for anyone interested. No melting or scorching.

I need a 510 Protege kit asap and about 30 atty's Steve. Any thoughts on release dates before I have to go back to begging in the modders forum.

EDIT: assuming it comes with a 510 adapter, considering I just stocked up on (what I hope is) a two-years' supply of atomizers.

I'll probably be ordering the device by itself - no batteries, chargers, or adapters to expediate the delivery. I don't think I got it in me again to wait another 3 weeks. Waiting for the passthru was nearly impossible.

Any idea when we will be able to buy. My dura batterys are just about dead. Dont want another Dura, I want a Protege. Been wanting a Prodigy but to large for me to carry at work. Protege looks perfect. Please sell it soon.

i would definitly buy a protege. been wanting a battery type mod to carry with me all day but all the ones i've seen seem too large (except stick) to just keep in my shirt pocket

I will worry what a PP is after I get my Protege. If a PP is better I will buy it after. I just want a Protege. Its been a month of sleepless nights already. I know they will both be great.
