That's Ironic.
Because I saw the Complete Opposite about two weeks ago.
I had just been seated with a Friend for a Late Lunch at a Non-Chain Restaurant. Across the room was a pair of Middle Aged Women who's waiter was picking up their Plates.
After the Waiter left, one of them pulled what looked like a Vamo/Clearo out of Her purse and casually took a hit off it. She took a couple of more as they talked and waited for their check. She Wasn't Blowing huge clouds. Or trying to Hide it. Just taking some hits off a Clearo.
As they were talking, the Manager walked up to their table and said "I'm Sorry. But you must not have seen the sign that said there is No e-Cigarette use in the Dinning Room. If you would like, you can move to the Patio?"
The one who was vaping just smiled and said something like, "No, that won't be necessary." And she put her Vamo back in her purse. The Manager said something else that I couldn't hear. But they Both Laughed. And the Manager walked away Smiling.
The Waiter came and gave them their Check. They argued over who was going to pay. The Vaper finally won and put some cash in the Tray. The Water Took it, brought the Change, and the Vaper said that the change was for him. He did do that Thank You when a Waiter gets a Big Tip. The two sat and Talked for about 10 more minutes. Got Up, and left.
No Drama. No Scene. Just Two people having Lunch.
Vapeing inside public places is just begging for laws against it to be passed.
Yes, which is how polite people behave.
And your solution is to treat it like they have already passed those laws. Don't vape in public, hide, hang out with the smokers, stand in the cold and the rain.
No thanks.
Going into a venue this weekend I was holding my mod in my hand. The security gnome at the door threatened: "if you're seen with that inside you'll be thrown out". They didn't say anything to my smoker friend who was holding a pack of Marbs and lighter![]()

So he politely warned you so you wouldn't be thrown out. I hoped you thanked him.
Let's assume you are joking.
Assume whatever you want. In this case, your assumption would be wrong.
Given the hostility coming from vapers in threads on this topic, i'm not surprised the general public manifests the same attitude towards vaping. In my book, one must project the attitude he expects from others. So you'll excuse my disinterest in joining the apologist crowd.
I agree with everything this person says about public vapeing
An Open Letter to the Person Smoking Their E-Cigarette Indoors
I would like to hear your view?
Dear Ms. Lower,
I really dislike your attitude and wish to issue a challenge that I'm genuinely interested in putting into action whenever you are game.
You say this water vapor smells terrible. Like how fog smells terrible? Anyway, my challenge would be to have me stand 8 feet behind you in a place of your choosing and I will vape (or not vape) a flavor of my choosing. My position claims you will never ever be able to detect the smell, and hence I strongly believe you are basing your perception of terrible smell on looks alone, or in reality, not on smell at all.
To say vaping indoors around people in enclosed spaces is like eating garlic before boarding a 10 hour flight, is IMO equal to saying all persons who speak or even whisper in public spaces are akin to walking into a local library with a megaphone. Therefore, everyone stop talking in public, because it is rude.
Vaping indoors is, in reality, like literally everything else humans do when out in public. All of what humans do in public could potentially annoy another person, could lead to strange physiological reactions in a small few, and can be done with intent to annoy or be rude. Most vapers, like myself, I believe will vape in public with respect and consideration for those around us. A few vapers will not.
I agree that you are not being completely unreasonable. Just mostly unreasonable, and am glad to instigate my challenge whenever you desire.
Respectfully,
Jman
