You know, that would seem like the fair thing, since many people probably bought a mod like this thinking that it might be the last purchase for a while. Obviously you expect to replace your atty's and batteries, though, but I have tons of cheap little gadgets that have lasted for years, so I would expect a $100 piece of equipment that's actually very simple to last a few years at least, unless I stupidly cross-thread it or something.

My switch has died TWICE, and wasn't because of either one of those reasons.........

So what do we think caused the switches to fail?

The only thing that makes a switch or fuse pop is an applied load.

Was it was one of the first Protege's with the goofy housing material that was found to cause a short?

I've lost two Prodigy switched due to shorted attys and one of the Protege switched due to the housing material but that was replaced/changed out.

I'm very careful w/juice, it wasn't that. And when the switches failed, I would take off the atomizer and continue vaping on my PS PASSTHRU. I had asked Steve in a forum topic 'what was the cause', but evidently he didn't see the question, because I never got an answer. I just sent the whole unit back to PS today, as they requested the whole unit this time, and I also included a note to Steve to please explain why I'm having repeating switch failure. BTW I own a Prodigy VI, not Protege.

Hey Jennifer, we'll certainly try to figure out what's happening. As long as the atomizers and everything are in there, we should get a much clearer picture.

I only sent what I 'use', that was the 901 adapter and the 901 atomizer along with the Prodigy. BTW atomizers were purchased thru PS.

Thanks again. I also seem to be going thru a lot of batteries........ (but I'll need to start another thread topic on that)
