Well I've been using this Rocket for about a week now for about 90% of my vaping, mostly with a Vivi Nova. Apparently the Nova leaked and juice was coming out of the bottom and also the voltage up/down buttons. I cleaned it out as best as possible with a rag and it is still working. I thought of doing a quick rinse with RO water and letting it completely dry, but I hear so many say that their Rocket died from leaking so I am thinking it is best to leave well enough alone.

I'm also new to the Vivi Nova. It works pretty well until I get down to that last quarter of a tank, then it doesn't wick very well without turning the tank sideways and letting the wick absorb juice further up. Also as the ejuice is used it get darker to the point of looking like motor oil when it started out nearly clear. Good thing is it is still working after a week. Bad thing is that any juice that is a complex flavor tastes funny. It does do well with fruit juices.

Thanks Dan. I'll send it out tomorrow. Just fiddled a bit more hoping I would find something obvious, but no luck. Both batteries 4.2V but getting zero on top. Thanks again Dan.

Wally if that unit is absolutely DOA and you have fiddled with it the best you can, send it back to me and I will get another sent out to you...send it back to the return address on your envelope.

Just a note that we can't do that for everything that goes out in ALPHA as we have limited supplies by definitiion, in ALPHA, but this was a higher ticket item relatively than other ALPHA products and we have a few more left in stock. Wally just send back the unit and battery (pls remove battery from unit when you send it).

FriedLiverAtack,

CE2 type clearo's ( which the Vivi Nova is a tank version of ) always require tilting to keep the wicks wet, even if you have long wicks. So this in itself is a given and not considered a negative in any way, it is how they are expected to operate.

I found on my Vivi Nova v2.5... with the juices I vape... they taste much better if I cut down the wicks so they just touch the side of the tank... of course this will require more lilting than a long wick would.

Just to be clear... one question.... did you get your Vivi Nova from GotVapes? and is it a v2.5? The main reason for the questions are some have posted in the GV forum area but have been talking about products that came from other vendors and/or were other versions so making sure of this info keeps the info relative.

Yes, it is a 2.5 Vivi Nova from GotVapes. I'll have to try cutting the wicks although I'm not sure why it should make difference. I make my own DIY juice and the flavors that have cinnamon in them such as peach cobbler, the cinnamon flavor isn't there at all, although in a carto/tank it is very strong. Another flavor I like which is chocolate/peanut butter tastes absolutely awful in the Nova. But strawberry and raspberry taste very good, better than the carto/tank.

Another humorous problem I had with the Nova is that I left a couple new heads on my dining room table and my cat carried them off and chewed the wicks off. I don't think this was the advised method for shortening the wicks.

It's just a guess and as mentioned in the VN thread itself... different for each juice... but the theory is that on certain juices the longer wicks will filter out the flavoring some so a shorter wick the less filtering that could happen.

I believe that Briar decribed the changes best... higher flavor notes come through where the lower notes are muted more ( aka less bass and more treble but with flavor instead )

And I guess... feline trimming is optional... lol

If they pass through ALPHA we'll have them up and on a related note and addressing me1969, we are goign to get another batch of 20-25 to let you guys take for a spin.

Anyone that purchased it the first time around, we'd appreciate it if you left the second batch for others to try : )

Is there anyway a non alpha member like myself can purchase one of those beautiful passthroughs? : )

They are sold out anyway.

This is a good idea and one we never thought of...if you read here about a product and it looks like we might be leaning to carry it main line go ahead and put yourself on the back in stock notify list. If we would mainline the product we would simply turn the ALPHA switch off and put it in its appropriate category...

Ohhhhh well had to give it a try : ) Put myself on the notify list a minute ago. Hopefully they pass they look awesome and I really need a vv passthrough.

I don't know if this is out of line, if so please let me know.

I got my hands on a Kanger T2 and this thing is a great lil clearomizer. If your looking for new lines to carry this would be high on "MY" list of products.

I wish I had the money to set up a storefront in this area. The closest place to me is not much to speak of. And the awesome local place is far enough away I would not impact them all that much.

I got my 5v/2amp adapter today :) and I'm really liking this little PT. Had to go back 15pages or so to find out how many clicks to change the settings  I've got my stardust on it with creamsicle and it's great! I've tried all 4 settings and it vapes like a champ. Had to back down from the top (green) simply because it was a little to hot for me. Over all, I'm getting a better vape from this than from my kgo or my ego. I am a little concerned about where the cord is attached to the device but not overly. Some kind of stress relief added there would be nice. A nice PT stand would help (hint, hint) The button on mine is working just fine, no issues with that so far.
Now I just have to remember 4 clicks for this PT, 3 clicks for the iTaste, 5 clicks for the ego
I'll post again when I've had more time to play with it.
