Okay, update. I just finally got through the first tank of juice in the c8v3. Covering the vent and taking a primer puff is genius. I cover one completely and the other almost completely and take a long, hard draw. There's almost no airflow when I do that and it's good for a while. If it's gurgling, it's good.

Oh, don't try vaping it upside down unless you want to drink your juice. I tried to tilt it up kinda high earlier to see if it would work and the juice came out right through the tip. Yuck.

Anyway, this is the first tank full, so I'm reserving judgment.

I got my 5v/2amp adapter today :) and I'm really liking this little PT. Had to go back 15pages or so to find out how many clicks to change the settings  I've got my stardust on it with creamsicle and it's great! I've tried all 4 settings and it vapes like a champ. Had to back down from the top (green) simply because it was a little to hot for me. Over all, I'm getting a better vape from this than from my kgo or my ego. I am a little concerned about where the cord is attached to the device but not overly. Some kind of stress relief added there would be nice. A nice PT stand would help (hint, hint) The button on mine is working just fine, no issues with that so far.
Now I just have to remember 4 clicks for this PT, 3 clicks for the iTaste, 5 clicks for the ego
I'll post again when I've had more time to play with it.

I woulda just clicked until something happened. Actually, that's exactly what I did

To make it go back down hold the ALT key in on your keyboard while pressing the button....

 I did that to start with, got the thing up to red, but couldn't figure out,( DUH, wasn't paying attention) how to get from red to green and how to make it go back down

i haven't got my new ones yet, but been vaping the originals since they came out, if its gurgling, its about to start leaking, usually out the vent holes or out the bottom. i just blow in instead of suck if i'm getting dry hits, mine are really bad at this point though because they are so old.

Yes, it is a 2.5 Vivi Nova from GotVapes. I'll have to try cutting the wicks although I'm not sure why it should make difference. I make my own DIY juice and the flavors that have cinnamon in them such as peach cobbler, the cinnamon flavor isn't there at all, although in a carto/tank it is very strong. Another flavor I like which is chocolate/peanut butter tastes absolutely awful in the Nova. But strawberry and raspberry taste very good, better than the carto/tank.

Different cartos/clearos have different taste profiles, to be sure. Even similar ones. There are some juices I love in the regular Stardusts, but not so much in the modular Stardust of the ViVi - and visa versa. ViVis noticeably lean towards the higher end of the flavor spectrum, so it's natural that the fruity flavors come across better. I also noticed that the chocolaty flavors are not quite as good as compared to the Stardust - though I wouldn't call it bad either, just less good. :)

Chris is right, too, seasoning the coil definitely makes a difference to this flavor nazi, at least. :D

I have this one coil in the modular Stardust that I was not crazy about, originally, but now it tastes even better than a regular Stardust. Go figure. Coils themselves also have characters. I treat them all as living critters, myself. Even talk to them. Yeah, ok, I'm a bit on the nutty side, but, really, there are so many variables with these things.

We were talking about cutting wicks earlier on the Vivi thread. I think current consensus may be that long wicks filter out some flavor particles, but by no means all of them. So for some juices shorter wicks make a drastic difference, and for some none at all.

Personally, I am very happy both with the ViVi and with the modular Stardust. I like the flavor only very slightly less than a regular Stardust, and they don't leak, they never give me dry hits, they are easy to maintain, and there will be color tubes in the near future! What can be better than that? :)

It's too bad you don't like them - but maybe if you play with it a bit, you will?

Another humorous problem I had with the Nova is that I left a couple new heads on my dining room table and my cat carried them off and chewed the wicks off. I don't think this was the advised method for shortening the wicks.

OMG...    What a cat thing to do!

Looks like there is a very good chance we will have 25 more in hand by next Friday and if not, by following Monday...then we'll field comments and possibly go mainline from there. We already spoke with manufacturer and they are making adjustments and tweaking the IC on this, but it would be in time for main line...no mjor difference just makign sure there is no buggy behavior...

Someone is this thread pointed out that cycling from green (highest voltage, 4.8) to the purplish color actually takes it to OFF position, will someone confirm this (I don't have the test unit in hand any longer)...I ha dpreviously thought that this was a bugaboo

Yeah! Yeah! What Danno said! (shouts from the gallery of those left out due to paycheck malfunction :D)

Oh, the Vivi only seems to get better with time. I have been using the same head for over a week, with cleanings every couple days, and this thing is great! One of the best gifts ever! The flavor started to really pop after about a tank and a half, and they clean nicely and hold up quite well. I especially like that I can easily remove the head without emptying the tank to clean it. If I can keep my hand out of the candy jar I plan on ordering a few more next week.

Oh, and GV is awesome. Just figured I would throw that in for good measure!

I'll confirm that one... almost identical, if not identical to switching to the second color ( multicolor )

Yes, that was me, and I confirmed it again this morning just to make sure, but definitely should be tested out on multiple devices as I've not heard anyone else mentioning their having an OFF function...

EDIT - Oops, rdsok beat me to it! Thanks!

I just confirmed that mine does do this as well.
