Yes, it is a 2.5 Vivi Nova from GotVapes. I'll have to try cutting the wicks although I'm not sure why it should make difference. I make my own DIY juice and the flavors that have cinnamon in them such as peach cobbler, the cinnamon flavor isn't there at all, although in a carto/tank it is very strong. Another flavor I like which is chocolate/peanut butter tastes absolutely awful in the Nova. But strawberry and raspberry taste very good, better than the carto/tank.
Different cartos/clearos have different taste profiles, to be sure. Even similar ones. There are some juices I love in the regular Stardusts, but not so much in the modular Stardust of the ViVi - and visa versa. ViVis noticeably lean towards the higher end of the flavor spectrum, so it's natural that the fruity flavors come across better. I also noticed that the chocolaty flavors are not quite as good as compared to the Stardust - though I wouldn't call it bad either, just less good.
Chris is right, too, seasoning the coil definitely makes a difference to this flavor nazi, at least.
I have this one coil in the modular Stardust that I was not crazy about, originally, but now it tastes even better than a regular Stardust. Go figure. Coils themselves also have characters. I treat them all as living critters, myself. Even talk to them. Yeah, ok, I'm a bit on the nutty side, but, really, there are so many variables with these things.
We were talking about cutting wicks earlier on the Vivi thread. I think current consensus may be that long wicks filter out some flavor particles, but by no means all of them. So for some juices shorter wicks make a drastic difference, and for some none at all.
Personally, I am very happy both with the ViVi and with the modular Stardust. I like the flavor only very slightly less than a regular Stardust, and they don't leak, they never give me dry hits, they are easy to maintain, and there will be color tubes in the near future! What can be better than that?
It's too bad you don't like them - but maybe if you play with it a bit, you will?
Another humorous problem I had with the Nova is that I left a couple new heads on my dining room table and my cat carried them off and chewed the wicks off. I don't think this was the advised method for shortening the wicks.
OMG...

What a
cat thing to do!
