Why is everyone using adapters to plug in their passthroughs? I have mine plugged into the usb port on my laptop and it works great? Should, I not be doing it this way?

I am using my laptop port also it is working great ,I was looking for one for my car .I guess people are worried about blowing the port in there laptop.
It's probably okay, but for some of us, just in case the usb port can't handle it, it's easier to replace an adapter than our computers

it depends who it is, if a girl is waking me up at that time, i'm not complaining
It's entirely up to you, but I'd rather take the risk of ruining the port on an adapter than a port on my laptop, especially when I'm testing a product. Using it on a computer is risky unless you have a way to test the power on it. I've ruined a port before with the other dongle, but it was on a junk computer tower that was only good for turning on but not actually booting up. The power needed to use these safely is not common in computers (based on what I've read in and outside of the forums) even though the dongle might work on it. It's just sort of an unknown variable and an expensive risk to take.
An adapter isn't expensive if you shop around for the best price. Here's what I use and it was just $8. I didn't pay shipping since I'm an Amazon Prime member, but it's a great deal nonetheless.

Maybe they prefer it to the tootsie roll, or root beer barrel, or Smiley Face sucker (which I'd like to find in my order)?
This is weird...these alternative batteries work great in one of my Rockets, but won't fire in the other Rocket at all. That rocket only works on the original batteries, while Rocket #2 will work on either.
Anybody have any ideas??
Just an update on my PT: I really likey. The voltage settings fit my vaping style perfectly. But the button definitely has a life of it's own.
Nipples? Plastic flash inside that interferes with the 'other' batteries? Spring stretch?
Physically, they look exactly the same, size, nipples, etc. Also the alternate batteries work fine in Rocket #2.
the difference in the batteries besides the brand is the included no-names are 900 mah, and the AW's are 700 mah. Could this cause them to work in one rocket and not the other?
I can't find 900 mah protected 18350 batteries anywhere. If GV can't get the vendor to offer up spare/replacement batteries this would be a dealkiller on the Rocket IMO.

More often lately lol. My bff broke up with his girlfriend and has a new crazy one. He has keys but never remembers to bring them. He calls first usually but I didn't answer so he took my screen out and stuck his head in and woke me up. The dogs didn't even get up
