Congrats on getting in Mare!

I haven't pulled the trigger on the Rocket either. Kinda stuck in a financial holding pattern for right now.

I wasn't sure about VV either at first. I'd found the right Ω clearos & was happy @ 3.7v, but... I've since discovered that flavors that were kinda MEH at 3.7v really "popped" at 4.2-4.3v using the same clearos. Right now, with my current selection of clearos, I pretty much top out at ~4.5v. But you never know if you'll end up with a mislabeled clearo/carto (higher Ω) and having the ability to push it to the right spot will come in handy.

How are everyone liking the Rocket?

I am not really a HV vaper. I actually really like 3.7. I am on the fence about the rocket.

I am looking for a usb car adaptor for my car to use with my pt and the store by me has a 5v 700mah no amps listed i'm guessing this is not strong enough correct?IDK it all confuses me lol

700mAh is your amps (0.7A). Too low.

C8V3 is really a nice looking unit...the tip is not my CoT, would like to know if there are any other tips that would fit on this. Looks like not.

FWIW, I've been told by knowledgeable people that 801 drip tips fit in place of the standard whistle tip.

The "mah" is milli-amp hour... 1000mah = 1ah... so that one is .7 amps output

Hmmm... I've got a really tiny proprietary PSU I pulled from on old Dell P-III. I wonder how many amps the 5v rail puts out? Time to dig in the parts closet bins & find it.

I'm afraid all of the USB based power supplies I have that are only 500mah are all corded... so I won't be able to test for that scenerio

Well I've done it again. Alpha program is going to break me! Just ordered 2 of the C8's wanted to try them when they first were out but never did. So patiently waiting for them to show at my door. Truly is becoming Christmas in July.

me too, had 3, but one died yesterday, can't complain, I used them from day one every day. But of course the bad thing with them is I could never take them out as you never know when they would drop a load so to speak

My first one (c8) didn't last long but the 2 nd one has been working like a champ and its a version 1 no leaks at all and have been taking it out and about has'nt leaked or dumped so first impressions didn't repete with this one

I know you were asking Rob, but I just fill a syringe w/ very hot water, fill it upright, followed by a syringe of air. I repeat that 2 or 3 times depending on the juice that was in it.

Thanks count, that's basically what I have been doing. I wasn't sure if other people were actually taking these apart.

I know diddly squat about the c8s. I remember when they came out and I couldn't get one at the time. Then I read about the juice dumping and was scared off. Hopefully these fix the issues.

For those of you with experience, what exactly was causing the dumping? What did you do to try to avoid it? Any tips or tricks to share with the rest of the newbies?

By the way, Dan's the man. I got the notice that the shipping label was printed about 30 minutes after placing my order. I'll bet it's here before Sunday.

Hopefully someone that actually got a full kit can help... since the power supply for them will be of at least the recommended minimum size... The important part is seeing how many "mah" the original comes with.
