i haven't got my new ones yet, but been vaping the originals since they came out, if its gurgling, its about to start leaking, usually out the vent holes or out the bottom. i just blow in instead of suck if i'm getting dry hits, mine are really bad at this point though because they are so old.

It's gurgled with no leaks. The gurgling sound seems to go hand-in-hand with good wicking. Might just be this model or just my unit, I dunno.
Cover vent holes + hard primer draws = gurgle, flavor & vapor.

So, this morning I woke up and still no juice dump from unit #2. Haven't refilled the first one yet, but I will soon. Been vaping the two Phoenixes I had filled. I'll get back to it shortly to see if a tank was enough to break it in or if this has nothing to do with breaking it in.

Yeah, green leads to purple and turns the unit off. It's supposed to turn off, right? It's just the wrong color since that's also the 2nd level color? It really should be another color, though.

Dan, are they putting any stress relief on the wire at all? I mean, it really hasn't been long enough to test the wire properly, but it's always good to have an extra safety measure.

Looks like there is a very good chance we will have 25 more in hand by next Friday and if not, by following Monday...then we'll field comments and possibly go mainline from there. We already spoke with manufacturer and they are making adjustments and tweaking the IC on this, but it would be in time for main line...no mjor difference just makign sure there is no buggy behavior...

Someone is this thread pointed out that cycling from green (highest voltage, 4.8) to the purplish color actually takes it to OFF position, will someone confirm this (I don't have the test unit in hand any longer)...I ha dpreviously thought that this was a bugaboo

Mine cycles like that too. This little pt really works well. The only thing that concerns me where the cord attaches to the unit.

So here is a funny story totally off topic. I live in 2 family house, it's cinder block and whatever. I live on the first floor. My house is usually cool but it does get muggy. My windows only open maybe 12". So been thinking about getting a dehumidifer or a portable ac. Well today I found a unit on sale that is a 3 in 1. Perfect same size dehumidifer I was lookin at plus ac and a fan and only $100 more than the dehumidifer by it's self and 6 monthly payments of $64 again perfect. I got it from shop nbc and it's a today only thing. So after I bought it I watched the presentation on it, It atomizes the water it collects and vaporizes it out the exhaust hose. I got it for $322 good deal. It made me laugh. My ac has a atomizer

I will defin let you know. I have been looking at them for over a year and most of them are over $500, the dehumidifier was over $200 so for $122 more I got both. Kinda excited to get it and see how it works. I bought it before I watched the presentation which is on at 5 pm on shop nbc if ya wanna check it out

Thank you I was looking at them a few months ago when our AC unit went and we had to get another one. We did...But I was liking those because they were also portable. My husband has COPD and that makes the air quality difficult sometimes with muggy humid etc. and when we travel to relatives or vacation etc, I thought that might be great to take with us also if we're staying somewhere any length of time besides using it here. Ya know ?

it appears you are right, I tried one of my new ones and after burning my throat for a bit, I finally got it just to the point of gurgling and then I had flavor, no leaks yet and the fill system is much easier. but still a lot of dry hits.

BTW, does anyone know how to clean these? I took my original one that burned out and pulled it apart, appears it pulls off above the atomizer and then I just drop the atomizer in hot water/vodka/etc then dry it out, dry burn and put it back together?

If we did get them to put some sort of reinforcement there it would be a ways out, and not sure how receptive they would be to it as it would add some cost to them and what they have to sell it for. In the meantime its an inexpensive little unit and if anyone is concerned about that I would simply take some electrical tape and wrap it down there...

Ron, as salky says, the rocket is really hot. I saw a vid on you tube on a identical unit sold by anohter vendor and you need higher than 2.0 ohms for the higher settings. I have a vision v2 ego on it and the ohms are 2.5 to 2.9 ohms and I'm vaping 100%VG at4.3 and it rocks. Get some higher ohm equipment and then start moving up. The reviewer said he didn't know any device he could vape at 6.0!! I put a 2.8 ohm single coil ressy on it and can vape up to 5.0. Good luck. I love my Rocket!!

ok peeps got a question about the rocket, I have one and I am wondering is this thing really that powerful, I mean I can not go over 3.3 on it or I get really bad tasting almost burnt hits off it, I have been a ego user for along time and was using a vivi 2.5 on my ego's chain vaping constantly with no problems what so ever, never a burnt hit off my ego battery using my vivi, now I put it on my rocket at 3.3 which should be equvilent to a ego and now if I vape like I normally do I start getting these bad tasting burnt hits, just wondering because I can keep the rocket turned down low if it is that powerfull, I was just thinking that I should be ablle to turn it up more than it is without burning my ejuice that bad. This thing must just be one powerful unit, I am using the 1.8 head on it, Thanks for the help

Oh, the Vivi only seems to get better with time. I have been using the same head for over a week, with cleanings every couple days, and this thing is great! One of the best gifts ever! The flavor started to really pop after about a tank and a half, and they clean nicely and hold up quite well. I especially like that I can easily remove the head without emptying the tank to clean it. If I can keep my hand out of the candy jar I plan on ordering a few more next week.

Oh, and GV is awesome. Just figured I would throw that in for good measure!

sorry ot again .but just wanted to say thx you just sold me one been looking to replace mine that only lasted a year because it wont drain now and shuts off every hour for you to drain it and the drain hole is at the bottom so i would have to lift it while my g/f pulled the plug out how stupid is that .ok back on topic

Fair enough. That's why I got the zebra duck tape They should consider releasing a small amount with the stress relief, there are folks who'll pay the extra. I'd throw $5 extra in to buy one just because I like it so much better than any other battery I have and I want it to live a very long life!

For all we know, this one's sturdy enough that it won't need it.

Now, if we're sharing great deals, I just got home from the thrift store! I got FOUR pairs of pants that are actually cute! Not mom jeans with super high waists and pleats Not only that, I got a cotton nightgown, two shirts and an awesome little Rubbermaid storage container perfect for holding my meager supply of batteries, cartos, odds and ends. It has deep containers on the back for batteries and I love those little slide out drawers. Very handy! Of course, I have a larger container with drawers for things I don't use often and my juice, but this is nice as table-side storage.

All together, it cost 8 bucks. Some of the jeans were expensive brands, too!

I just fill a syringe w/ very hot water, fill it upright, followed by a syringe of air. I repeat that 2 or 3 times depending on the juice that was in it.

Haven't had any problems doing it this way. No disassembly, so less chance for me to flux up an otherwise working clearo.

I'm thinking about cutting the strain relief off an old piece of electronics and epoxying it to the base, and then using ProWeld to reseal the seam I'm gonna have to cut in the side to slip it over the existing wire.
