isn't this what the alpha program is for, test things out and have it fixed before going mainstream? Its like a 2 second fix at the factory, either change the connector or seal it. try as hard as you want, these cartomizers leak. I would have thrown out both lavatubes already if they didn't have sealed connectors.

The Rocket by other names has been out several months and went through it's Alpha/Beta phase a long time ago, it isn't going to change with a different name. All of the molded plastic PVs leak like a sieve at the seams, none are sealed that I am aware of. A molded plastic clam-shell VV PV for $30 is quite a bargain IMO even if it's up to the customer to keep it clean.

Edit: I just remembered that Steve from Steve K's vaping World swamped his new $200+ Provari with a tank mod and had to get help from the factory. He was told to flush it with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. As I see it leaking is a potential problem with any APV, no matter the cost. :)

edit: ooops ....beat me to it ....yup I agree errol

yeah the connector is sealed on the rocket...it's the 2 piece BODY that is the issue ...

where the 2 pieces meet ...mine looked pretty tight so I did not worry about it much (had dreams about sealing it tho, should have payed attention to that ) but e-juice is insidious....especially since it does not evaporate & dry up !!

when juice leaks out of center bottom of carto's ...it probably fills connection then overflows & gets in body that way .

waaa I will have to finish this thought later ..dh wants to go to casino NOW !! can't pass that up :D

I have one of the "lava lamps". I have been lucky and never seen a leak with it as long as I tighten up all the pieces. I will be picking up a couple more of them. The only issue I saw with them was some dry hits if the juice got really low....as long as the juice was no lower than the bottom of the clear "window"....nothing but great performance. I look forward to the new improved version.

I have one of the E-2 (lava lamp) tanks too, and it's never leaked on me. And I keep juice in it at all times. I must be lucky, I haven't had any dry hits off of it, even when it goes below the window level, I usually vape it horizontally and tend to rotate it when I'm not hitting it, so maybe the wicks are staying wet due to that. Like the Diva, I look forward to buying & using the new, improved version.

Didn't pay that much attention to the rocket posts, as mine was working great. All of a sudden....no workie. Batteries are good fully charged. No juice inside from leaking. Wire still attached to tab at the bottom. Stretched the wire on the cap out. Am I missing something???? It is obviously getting no power....just sitting there being a "little dead thing".

Have you tried replacing the batteries not sure about the rocket because I am not in the alpha program yet. However I found with my mod boxes sometimes the circuits in the batteries go bad and just don't work anymore.. fresh batteries and it works fine.

My Rocket that got juice in it appears to be dead, even after cleaning it. I am sad. I actually liked my Rockets more than my Twists, but I am not going to detach all the clearos every time I stop vaping them. I typically have a dozen in rotation with different flavors. A PV that is going to die completely with a juice leak has to be a no-go for me.

Oh no, tina!!! I hate hearing that! I should be getting my second Rocket tomorrow.. I love the stupid thing. I'll be sealing it around the top, of course... learned my lesson with that. And I'll be gentle with it.. though, I guess I shouldn't have to be. We'll see how long this one lasts...

It takes a lot of flushing with Alcohol to get all the residual Niquid out and it also takes a long time to dry sufficiently to work again, if it's going to.

If all else fails you should be able to get a replacement if the Alcohol didn't mess up the paint too bad. Certainly worth a try either way.

Good luck, Errol

That's the weird thing....I didn't have any juice leaks. It just stopped working.

My Rocket died too, a few days ago. I didn't have leakage either. One of the batteries malfunctioned, something internal, it rattles and wont charge, if I hold the Rocket upside down the battery works, anyway ordered a pair of 18350 batteries from e-bay, received them but are about an 1/8 inch too long so I cant replace the battery cap. So ordered two more from an e-cig vendor still waiting for them to arrive. I hope these work. Miss my Rocket, like many it has become one of my most used mods.

Ok more info on the CE5 ALPHA product since many of you should be getting it soon. I had to search high and low and finally found the info on what is happening inside the center steel tube on this. I want to share it here. The coil in this unit is in the center of the tube so it is quasi-top-coil.

There is a sheath of filler around the inside of the tube and that is where juice initially makes contact...that juice is then transferred to two long wicks that feed the coil.

Don't ask me what cryotron is (some sort of plastic I suppose). Thsi seems to perform very very well out of the box but my only concern is in cleaning this and extending its life....
