My CE5 tends to be a bit gurgly but vapes well, seems to wick fluid well also.

The VV Dongle is very similar to some I already own but is a bit longer, vapes very well at all voltage settings. Will end up being made into a hookah hose I am sure.

No gurgle on this end. What juice are you using?

My trigger finger is itching to click on the Add to Cart button visible on either the black or white one...but...not an Alpha member...

Or to put it another way... the Alpha flag does not appear to be set on the black and white flavors of this. Brown and red display the "alpha only" message, black and white display the Add to Cart button.

So I loaded up my CE5 tank and let her sit for about an hour. Ok, so I took a nap, my bad! lol Anyways, I noticed the level on the tank dropped a lot with the Juice I am using which is 70PG/30VG Sweet Blueberry from a friend. It tastes just like a warm blueberry muffin at the right voltage ;) So I topped the tank off and screwed it onto the USB Pass Through and wow do I love this thing right from the first hit!!! The flavor was perfect on the Red setting which is supposed to be 4.2V. I couldn't believe the taste at first because I have been using the Vivi Nova Tanks since they first came out. It was like night and day with the flavor. It doesn't taste the same at all. At first I was kind of bummed, but the flavor is still very very good. It tastes more like what I was told it should taste like. Now I swear by the Vivi Novas, and they are breeze to rebuild. But if this tank keeps performing without leaking and without dry hits I might just have to rethink my hold vaping setup!?!? Ugh...I have done this so many times, but who am I kidding I love buying new vaping toys. It is amazing how far things have come since my 51trio!!! The CE5 so far for me is a real winner, even though it seems to be a bit of juice hog.

I doubt it will break easily but you still wouldn't want to be careless with it... I've probably gone through 4-6 Nokia cell phones and not once did I think I was about to break the power supply post... At the same time, being a computer tech, I've had a ton of clients break their 3/8" power plugs on their laptops because they were careless with them.

Hmm... wonder where I've put those old Nokia power supplies now that I think of them.... :D

i haven't had a nokia phone, but I ASSUME that the connector part is at the end of a cable like a micro USB connector for a normal phone so it doesn't get stressed like this would get stressed being a usb connector attached right to the pin.

so Regarding the C8V3. The one thing that has been driving me batty with these is every once in a while, I'll go to take a hit and literally end up with a mouth of juice, like I"m just drinking it from a cup. I've been using my lava tubes exclusively and the buttons aren't great so sometimes they don't fire but still I shouldn't be drinking juice I don't think. I don't have this issue with any other cartos so i think it must have something to do with the c8. I think mostly it happens if I don't vape it for a bit and let it sit for a few minutes. anyway, has anyone else experienced this?

hmmm no on the C8 leaking ...last night I carried one (V3)in my purse (laid down in a case) for back up & it was fine when my CE5 finally ran out of juice & I was ready for it .
Kinda amazed me I really expected it to leak for some reason
I have had NO LEAKING from my version 1 or 3 since I moved coil over on #1 ...

you have checked (I assume) that your little silicone cap dude is securely pushed down in it's holes etc...???

The only time I have seen juice in the top is @ the end of filling when it starts to bubble out of 2nd hole ???
I have been filling these on their sides, keeping 2nd hole on top for the air to equalize as I fill.
Not as messy as the upside down fill & straight up fill, both of which just bubbles out a lot more juice.

WindLvr , be aware that the Blueberry might melt your mouth piece on the CE5 !!, been there done that ....
& be aware that the rocket 2 piece design allows juice to get in to the body ...so watch for leaks on carto's that you run on it .
Sealing the side seams & around connector @ the top b-4 using ...will avoid this issue .

I am only mentioning these issues since you are NEW to alpha & may have NOT read entire thread, which I suggest that everyone NEW should read back , cuz it might/should/WILL save you some anguish in the end :D

I have noticed it if it goes 'tip down" for some reason.

I actually noticed that the Rocket was completely sealed at the top, but thank you for pointing that out. It is truly appreciated. I have been following this thread for a long time, just now got involved, and I agree new people should read back. The only thing I have trusted on my Rocket is my Vivi Tanks that I know for sure don't leak. I haven't been real impressed with the Rocket so far. It just feels cheap in my hand compared to other Tube Mods I own and use. I am not sure if it the feel of the plastic, how light it is, or because I have no way to turn it off? Maybe a combination of everything, but it's too early to tell.

Right now I have a Scorpion Tank rocking on my USB Pass Through, CE5 on my Ego-T Upgrade, and Vivi Nova Tank on the Rocket. My room is so hazy right now I had to open a window!!! I am watching the Scorpion and CE5 closely for leaks and cracks, but so far all looks well. Of course I am not letting anything get too warm because I keep switching up what I am vaping on.

You can turn the rocket off / on just like an ego battery. 5 clicks. At first I was not too fond of the rocket but I have grown a bit fond of it now and and using it more than anything else I have.

I actually noticed that the Rocket was completely UN-sealed at the top, but thank you for pointing that out.

My non-leaking VIVI IS what leaked into my Rocket

I seriously LOVE my rocket.. I ordered a second one when I ruined my first one.. it's in my hand all day. I am, however, careful to not use anything that leaks at all.. even a tiny bit. And I still have some issues with some of my DCTs making a good connection... but the ones that work, work like crazy. I'm still getting lots of dry hits out of the CE5.. don't so much like that one. A few little tweeks and I think the Rocket is a winner.

...idk wonder "why" it is a hard draw ? not enough air ? back off batt a turn ? Or back your mouth piece out a little ???

have you stuck a pin up the bottom hole to be sure there is not something impeding air flow ?
The coil is high up so idk that you could hurt anything by doing so .

I'd try to pull the coil cup up too.... still just guessing here ...but cha' never know what will fix these things till ya' try everything that you "can" do.

doesn't leak, just every once in a while, you suck in a mouthful of juice, and by once in a while like twice a day which is more than enough.

so my ce5 still has a very hard draw, what can i do to it to make it draw right?

since the ce5 is similar to the stardust if I remember correctly, you can try loosening it a turn on the battery to see if that helps. on my riva/ego batteries, i would file the vent slots down a bit and that helped quite a bit on getting the air flowing.

I also love my Rocket. If I had the budget I would get a Provari, but I don't. It kind of like sun glasses, I always break or loose them. So I buy $20 pair instead of the $120 kind. The price to quality is awesome. So the Rocket is no Provari, but the price point to quality is great. If I drop it, loose it or it gets stolen I am not out near $200. Plus its affordable for the masses to get into a variable device.

You mentioned using DCT on the Rocket. I have not had good luck getting it working, so have been using my Nova on it. Which is just fine. But if there's any tricks to it I would love to learn. I use Smoktec SBFT DCT, in addition to my Nova.

I have a ProVari and still use the rocket more. Much lighter and pleasant to handle.

On my rocket I had to file down the top of the plastic case and some of the actual metal socket to get all my stuff to fire. Just a thought, maybe it's bottoming out on the top of the socket before it makes contact on the bottom. I filed mine down until I was able to use my sealed 510 to ego adapter on top. All is wonderful with it now.
