Just a little reminder here because we have so many new alpha members.......Please state the name of the product you're reviewing or commenting on at the beginning of your post. It's important to indentify it so that it's easy for everyone, but in particular for Dan and Chris as they will be determining whether or not to stock these products based on your feedback.

Kanger Protank and the new Raven

ubynybe8.jpg

The Kanger Protank should be on your must have list from GotVapes if you like the eVod. Yes they are airy on the draw but that is an easy fix.

Compared to the Raven, flavor is very comparable and draw is tighter. The plus to the Protank is the Pyrex glass. However the two cinnamon juices I have been Vaping in the Raven have not been any issue. The Protank handles straight VG with no issues for me at all. I am going to try removing the top wick on my next refill to see how it will affect it.

Overall I think they are fairly even on flavor and vapor production. I am just as pleased with either unit. The Protank has a larger footprint and adds more weight than the Raven. There is more versatility with the Raven as far as the ability to choose drip tip and tank size and style if you so choose. I have two Ravens setup to be used in different tanks later tonight. I know it will be too long for it, but I am going to try it in my Prive tank later as well. I just want to be able to test and show it's ability to be used however you choose. I may even sacrifice one and trim it to fit if all goes as well as expected.

Last shot to show you the Protank size on the SVD compared to the Raven.

That's my 2 cents.

Omg I just happened to notice the raven on the tanks page! I'm alpha but I wanted to make sure that I didn't have to put a note on my order before checking out since it's not actually on the alpha page.

They are not in Alpha, we just got a chance to buy them at a discount as a bonus. A thank you from the fine folks at GotVapes

Raven

Just cranked up the Raven today.....sure glad I hung on to the tanks from before. These things are pretty sweet. I followed Yiddles advice and filed them the the little funnel thingy...worked great. I'm running Bounty Hunter in it....working like a charm. These things produce the most vapor of anything I have used. Big thumbs up from me!!!

That's my 2 cents.

I know this is a bit off topic since the protank is not alpha.
I noticed in your picture that you are using the protank without the ego thread base that comes with it.

What I found with my protank when used on my Anyvape CVI is that without the ego thread base attachment that comes with the protank it vapes a little too airy for my taste. If I use the ego thread base the draw is just how I like it.

This is because the ring on the anyvape has notches that supply additional air channels while the ego thread base attachment is flat with no notches so the protank then just uses the channels provided on its base.

So when using the protank on my Anyvape CVI I remove the top ring of the CVI and use the protank's ego base. This way air is limited to the air channels carved into it's base.

Raven revisited...

I've been using them exclusively for a week now and I'm still liking them lots. :)
I developed a couple gurgles early on. One was due to my sloppy filling. The other I'm not sure what exactly happened but the juice was low at the time. Bad's blow through the battery end and pulling the carto out and replacing it corrected the gurgle in short order.

So if pressure problems are responsible for gurgles sometimes, do these do okay going from air conditioning inside to hot weather outside? I've had some cartos in the past that would spring horrible leaks under those conditions. The way my weather's going I won't know for myself for quite a while yet. :glare:

I did have to dry burn a gunk ball off the coil after vaping about 15ml through it. Probably the only down side is I can't get to the coil to help scrape the gunk off. Rinsed it off, refilled and it's vaping great again.
