tough road.

sorry to hear.

hope all works out in the end.

I went in November for a hernia operation with what is suppose to be the top hernia surgeon in the nation and he ended up slicing my intestines and didnt see it. I went home, got deathly ill when I went septic and been thru hell since. I was suppose to of been back to work in the beginning of january and now its may and I am hoping to get a return to work release this week. Its been a looooong road for sure.

lol really? What are we, the queen of England now? All of a sudden now that we vape, cigarette smoke is 'harmful' to us? What about when you sit by a campfire, or breathe in fumes from a vehicle? If you think vaping should be allowed in places other than where the smokers go, then I dunno what to tell you.

C'mon, now.

Cigarette smoke is harmful to us all the time. Now that I have made the choice to not smoke cigarettes, I feel I should be able to not be exposed to cigarettes.

Dont get me wrong, I dont care if other people smoke.
But I dont smoke... and because I dont smoke, dont wanna have to go in to some little tiny room with sometimes a lot of smokers at a time. The reason smokers were pushed out of the areas to begin with is because smoking is harmful. Vaping is not harmful.

As for the campfire... how often do you do that... really?
As for the car fumes? Well no one is complaining about being smokers smoking outside. But I am sure if you took that car and you put inside that little smoke room with me in it... Yea, I think I would die....

Not that my reply matters one lil bit, but the only place I cheat is in movie theaters, but only if they're not super crowded (and I either hold the vapor in long enough so nothing comes out on the exhale, or I blow it down my shirt). I don't like to go on opening nights/weekends, I usually wait a week or two for theater crowds to thin out.

Now, for the new Star Wars....... I'm gonna have to bust out my old KR808 Volt batteries and cartos. Ain't no way that theater's not going to be crowded for at LEAST a few weeks...

Let's face it, if you are a non smoker, smoking stinks. But that's about all it does.

I smoked for about 30-years and now I've been vaping since 2009. I can't believe how bad they smell. I don't want to be that guy, but dang the smell now makes me nauseous. Can't believe I made everyone around me put up with that stench..

I spent the good chunk of the day in ND today. A few hours in the mall with the fiance, while she shopped and got stuff for her Bachelorette party this week. Pretty stressful if I do say so myself. Unfortunately for me, ecigs are included in ND's clean air bs. Meaning no vaping within 25ft of a public building. Left my sig 150 in the car and took my ego with me. Stealth vaped the whole time. Fiance didn't even know I was vaping. Lol.

Normally I would abide by that ridiculous law, but the length of time and the stress level imposed...... Yaaa..... I needed my vape so that I didn't hurt anybody. Lmao.

I vape in the office... I can't do it with cigarettes but vaping is not smelly. I exhale the vapor to bellow of the desk so I won't create too many vapor everywhere and so far, it is okay.

As for airport, I try to vape in the smoker's lounge. It's not fair of course as I am trying to get rid of my smoking habit along with all the damages it makes but people look at the e-cig and they don't trust that it is safe or much safer than cig. There has been campaign to tell people that e-cig is worse than ciggy.
I sometimes do stealth vaping with very low watt.

I am an "only vape where I could smoke" person.

In the scenarios you describe, what would I do if I had never discovered vaping and was still on the analogs? Of course I would use the nasty smokers room for a couple of quick puffs....or just not vape at all until I reach a place where I can.

The bottom line is, I feel if we don't want to piss people off and see this industry get regulated into a place where the only thing available to us are pre-filled big tobacco owned cartridges, we have to respect others right NOT to breathe in our vapor. Regardless of whether or not second hand vape is "hurting" anyone.

Just my thoughts on the topic. ;)

It all depends on the situation. I vape at airports in the US- at an empty gate, restroom or smokers' lounge- depending on the conditions...
In normal everyday life, I only vape in my car and in the vape room in my home. I don't go to bars in the US and am not at restaurants long enough to vape, or while shopping. Prague is a bit different. I vape almost everywhere, but it is not out of the ordinary or questioned there- except maybe by tourists. I vape at the Palladium mall, if I am there a long time shopping with a lady, at restaurants, as meals there are leisurely and at bars. At PRG airport I vape openly and no one cares...

Is second hand smoke really That Dangerous? No. It was a lie propagated to fit the agenda that extreme anti tobacco zealots wanted to use to get people to stop smoking. Let's face it, if you are a non smoker, smoking stinks. But that's about all it does.

Please read: Velvet Glove, Iron Fist: New study finds no link between secondhand smoke and lung cancer

Just a snippet from the article

Just dropping it in here for those who would like to read more about it...
we all have read that lung cancer is increasing in non-risk and at risk groups.
the no-risk group is getting larger as the at risk group is getting smaller.
it wont be to long in the future when the risk evens out across the board.
what will they say then? smoking is as dangerous as not smoking?

I think there's a lot of confusion/misunderstanding about where smoking is allowed, in places like California that doesn't include parks, beaches, apartments, condos, and pretty much any business including vape shops. So when vapers tell other vapers that they shouldn't vape anywhere that smoking isn't allowed, some of us get a little touchy, especially when we're currently fighting legislation trying to force that restriction upon us.
You better believe it...

To me, vaping where smoking isn't allowed is an etiquette issue. In a crowded theater, in a restaurant, in a small waiting room, probably not unless I know I won't be disturbing others. I can regulate my own actions. Some people are discourteous of others, and that is a wholly separate issue.

Legislation that says you CANNOT vape anywhere that smoking is prohibited is VERY different. If the government wants to ban actions/activities of it's citizens, there had better be a GOOD reason.

If a business owner doesn't want to allow it, that is their right, as the business owner. If a patron complains or wants to ask someone to refrain, that is their right, to ask. Most people will stop when asked.

.

The standard is "the least restrictive way to attain a legitimate objective".

They haven't even properly defined the objective.

Question for some of the ones who want to vape in public places; Kids. Do you vape around children? Your own children? If not, how come? If its perfectly safe and all, right?

I personally do not vape around my kids, I go outside just like I did when I smoked analogs. When the children go to bed, then I vape in the house. And to those who say its harmless for kids, stay away from mine!
