Your food will be OK for awhile as long as you don't keep opening the door.
Oh gawd's, it's you that have also done a massive amount of food buying for your parents too? Yes? I can only hope power is returned ASAP for you. Really feel for you there, yes frozen food can stay that way for a long time, the main thing not to do is open the freezer door, tempting as it may be. I am thinking of you and hope this all works out well with nothing lost. All that going out, getting it, unloading and organising it etc is bloody*y stressful , not to mention the cost. All the very, very best to you, my fingers and toes are crossed
Good morning mixers and good luck RJ on getting your power back on. We had a bunch of rain and high winds yesterday but nothing like you had.
It's just another work day here. I've got my fingers crossed for more work to come in today.
Good morning mixers. RJ, I am sending electrical vibes your way... and hoping it comes back soon!
Ugh power starting to flicker here already, and the really high winds haven't even started yet. Wish me luck!
Hope all in the various storms' paths stay safe, and get power back soon!
I'm partial to my own base but I would get rid of the above TFA cheesecake and add 2% Graham Crust (any brand) instead
That really sucks. I hope it comes on in time to save your food.
Thanks, I'll try that
IMO none of the cheesecakes have enough graham.
OK here is the promised recipe.
TFA ACAI 3%
FA Black Currant 1%
WF Croissant 2 1/2%
TFA Graham Clear 1%
Be forewarned that this recipe has a little bite to it and little sweetness.
I really need to get some of the WF Croissant! With my love of bakery, I'm surprised I haven't tried it yet. It sounds so good.
Edited to add: That reminds me I have a box of TJ's Chocolate Croissants in my freezer!
That Acai gets to the point quickly. If this recipe has a little too much bite for some they may benefit from backing down on the Acai.
Just don’t open the fridge and you can probably make 24 hours. Or, open once and stick some large frozen food items in to drop the temp. I freeze gallons of water during hurricane season, but a big roast etc would do
This is true but I love the bite.
Can you describe “bite”. My mind naturally goes to hot pepper...
Exactly. It's a nice bite actually. Gives it its charm.
Mixing that today! Had a moment of panic, but I do have FA for the black currant (phew!)
