A very good tip I received from @JCinFLA was to stop fighting the needle when trying to pull up vg or other thick liquids.
Insert the needle into the bottle of vg and pull the plunger to the desired amount you want and wait. The vg or thick liquid will fill the syringe all by itself...It may take a moment or 3 but it does work.

:)

No more waiting for me:lol:

Yep...has always worked like a charm for me...no pulling, no struggling, no frustration = no cussing & throwing things. Just allow the basic science ideas regarding creating a vaccuum and filling a void, to "do their thing".

It’s funny how everything gets examined for its possibilities for use as vaping equipment. My hubs was happy I was enthusiastically looking at tackle boxes with him. But, I was thinking about my tanks and spare parts

I can't look at any website now without thinking of potential diy or vape equipment storage uses

Tackle boxes for RTA/RDA bits & pieces
    Makeup boxes/cases for diy flavourings
And so on and so on ;)

Well pick one of the fruits you've already mixed with the new base, then mix a 40pg/60vg and a 60pg/20peg/20vg.
@FranC, I would make two additional suggestions:
-- Use a fruit you are familiar with; and has a noticeable/recognizable sweetness to it. This should(?) make it easier to tell the effect (if any) on perceived sweetness.

-- If you can bring yourself to do it; add one additional tester using the PEG400 as the only carrier (flavor/nic/PEG only). Feel free to keep the sample size small to minimize waste, in case it is too thin, or too harsh.:D
While I find the VTA sugar cane acceptable it isn't my go to.
@Letitia, what is it about the Sugarcane you weren't impressed with? I have a small sample size coming on my jumbo order.

The gauge 14 handles vg pretty good and I also use it to fill my tanks. The rest of them are really not usable in DIY. Some use the 18 gauge for flavors and it does work on some really thin ones. I have a few and use them to help me get my rayon in place when rewicking a tank.(lol)

This may be better. Take a look

Thanks, I added those instead and am getting some 2oz bottles I've been wanting along with a 5 pack of the larger ones someone else suggested.

Simply not a fan of sweeteners in general. If none of my go to usals (pear, meringue, honeysuckle, etc.) aren't working touch of sugar cane helps. I couldn't use the supersweets at all. Haven't tried Sugar Daddy and doubt I will since the sugar cane is working out okay. My cousin loves the sugar cane if I use enough.

I have a new favorite VG syringe. The 60ml syringe is marked in .1mls. The shortened chopstick only holds 4ml of air and is pretty easy to get the VG up and doesn't seem to hold much after blowing it out a couple of times.

For drawing up 20ml I do it in 5mls. It's too hard on my hands otherwise.

Got a couple samples of Pazzo. Ace and Queen. Both smell bad. The description of Ace sounds good, a tropical fruit mix. But Queen, imagine if the color red had a flavor? So it's going to give me a migraine?

I imagine it's preparing for the FDA but I'm not a fan of these non-descript names FA is coming up with. Even worse if it's a non-descript description.

I picked up the King & Joker a good while back and really like both. King is like a black currant gummy candy, lightly sweet, jammy & nice mouthfeel. Quite good in a cheesecake mix. Joker is supposed to be like a cannolli cookie. I get a lightly spiced shell and very little cream. I usually add a little bavarian & italian cream to finish it off. Then it's pretty tasty... Fingers crossed, yours will vape better than they smell... :D

From the description Ace should be good unless it includes coconut and I would probably smell that if it was too forward. When I was buying liquid I got one with coconut and I was able to adjust the wattage to move it far enough back I was able to vape the bottle away.
If I was just going by smell I would've guessed Queen to be the tropical fruit mix so it might end up good once diluted.
I have enough fruits I can probably make them into something if they're not already.

If I'm doing 10mL for example...I'll usually pull it up to 5mL...wait for it to hit it, then pull it up to the 10mL mark and wait. I'm all for easy peasy, too! :)

Grabbed some odd-ball sale flavors at ECX... Only ones that I've seen (positively) mentioned here. They don't have basil, but that smoked plum was there. :w00t: At those prices, I can afford to take the gamble. Got some booze, too: Rum & Irish Cream. ;)

I don't use syringes in mixing at all. I use pipettes once in a great while for those INW flavors from VapersTek that come in glass bottles with no drip tip. Convince me I need to use syringes.

On the VTA Sugar Cane, I have some but have not used it as a sweetener. I am not even sure why I bought it - one of those "just in case" things I guess. :) I will try it in something as a sweetener and compare the results to using SugarDaddy, which I really do like. Haven't touched the CAP Super Sweet or the TFA Sweetener since the SugarDaddy came into my mixing life.

So, do you mix by weight then?
