@IDJoel You suggested I pick a flavor I'm familiar with. I have a problem with picking a flavor because all my usual flavors are used in mixes. Suggestion?
I don't know what to suggest.

I would look for any single flavor...
that you feel confident in its profile/profile contribution...
It doesn't need to be a "stand-alone" flavor; but it shouldn't be something you find unpleasant...

Perhaps something that you use in multiple recipes (like your cheesecakes). I recall you mentioning a raspberry cheese cake. The raspberry might work. You have a positive relationship with some of the lemons. Any of those you find have a sweet note; but would be willing to try vaping as a single flavor? I believe most limes are not your friend; but is there any of those you liked, but just found too sweet (not outrageously sweet; just not your cup of tea). It doesn't even have to be a fruit concentrate; it just has to be familiar, tolerable, and have some sweetness.;)

using a multi-concentrate recipe would work too... if you are more comfortable with that idea. You just want to mix all testers the same. :)

Whatever concentrate(s) you decide to use, I would do three things:
-- make sure they all have the same percentage of flavoring.
-- make one extra tester, exactly the way you would make it if you were making a regular batch (using your normal PG/VG/nic/flavoring(s) percentages). This will be your baseline; and help to identify if any perceived change is from the various base experiments, or day-to-day taste bud changes.
-- when vaping your testers; try to make your hardware as identical as possible, to rule out hardware influences to the flavor.

Sorry for being so wishy-washy; but that is about as decisive as I can be for another person.:laugh:

While I'm thinking of a flavor,I have a technical question.I mix all my nic base ahead with Pg/Vg. If I'm doing 5 ml testers how much 60mg nic would I put in 5ml to get 6mg? I'm no good figuring that stuff out.

6mg is 10% of 60mg. So, 10% of your final volume (regardless of size) should be your 60mg nic. 10% of 5mL is 0.50mL. :D

    I think this is 0.5%

Thank you both:) Now I'm all set for this I think.

Soooo I think this is what I'm doing

1 mix at my regular nic/pg/vg

1 at my regular nic and 60%pg,20% PEG400 and 20%vg

1 at my regular nic with just PEG400
That looks like a good start. It should be enough to figure out if it warrants further fine tuning.
    It could end up being:
    80PEG/20VG
    40PG/40PEG/20VG
    20PG/60PEG/20VG
    45PG/45PEG/10VG
    Or ????

I just realized that doesn't work as stated. How much pg/peg and vg would I need for the second mix and how much peg for the third. I know that should be easy but my brain isn't functioning.
It will depend on the amount of flavor concentrate you are going to use. Just deduct the percentage of flavor from the percentage of PG used. (in the case of PEG only; deduct from PEG)

If you know the what percentage of flavor you are going to use, and want to share it; I'm happy to do the math for you. :)

Due to such varying opinions I think I'll just stick with the Lemon Sicily cause I just got a 30ml bottle that will last me forever.
That is a wonderful flavor, you just have to do small batches or I mix all the other ingredients and add the lemon sicily as needed.

    6% flavor. I found a calculator I think I have it right?? 60%pg=2,2ml,20%PEG=1ml and 20%vg=1.0ml

    100%PEG=4.2%??
Since you are working with a small amt think of it this way
    5 ml total bottle
You have already used 0.5 ml
So you have 4.5 ml left to fill bottle
How much flavoring are you using?
Subtract that amount from pg(from the pg column) and then you are left needing vg/pg/peg divide those however you wish but subtract the flavoring to find how much pg to use.
That is because flavoring is counted as pg at that point.

    :)

You know, that's a great idea. I like lemon but really don't want much of an upfront taste usually.
