Years ago, I would go to this old school coffee shop (mostly older regulars... I was younger but kinda liked hanging with the "old dudes") Anyway, right across the street was a bakery (so much better) but there was one thing that "Harry" made I loved... a simple pastry with caramel and nuts. This inspired me to try something:
(WF) Coissant
(PUR) Creamy caramel
(FW) Hazelnut
He used walnuts but hazelnut is even better... just have to work out the %
Oh yea... there was a sign on the wall... "Confucious says keep eye on donut not hole" (OK, I'm rambling but this is the "random" thread right?)
Harry's donuts lol, too suggestive. They must charge a fortune for their 'pastries'. Like certain massage parlors charge for their 'deep' massages. :p

Me either! I am going to go for a drive this weekend. I am seriously stir crazy. I'll go to the beach. If people aren't social distancing I'll just sit in my car and look at the water. Thank goodness I have juice-making to do. That and cooking have helped me tremendously!
I don't drive and no one here is for random rides. I know a couple folks that would be glad to take me for a ride but that's a no-no right now.

I don't blame him finding a decent contractor in this state is sort of like the equivalent of um, a needle in 500 haystacks
Crazy how much things are different two states away. I wish I had a contact there to link you to, getting quality home repairs shouldn't be so difficult.

Had to check my booze list ever though I was sure I had the VTA Russian Vodka and yes I do. I’m thinking I should add a 30ml bottle to my stock since I only have a 15ml.

I actually hate Gin to drink but like it pretty well in a mix.

I've gained about 40 lbs. I don't know if it's Covid, Arkansas, Winter, Good Food, or Left Hand Brewing Nitro Milk Stout.
Have you been sneaking into my kitchen when I’m not looking???
Himself’s told me I need to cure my boredom by doing something besides baking bread and desserts. His pants must have shrunk ( darn hot dryer!!!). Making bread is relaxing and time consuming, and heaven knows I’ve got allll the time in the world right now.
Tomorrow will be two weeks on the MB butter my biscuit test ( @FranC , the one I subbed in your recipe, plus a bottle as written to compare). I’ll give them both a try, then back in the box for 2 weeks more.

    Interested in that test.

I am super hydrating. 2 20 oz THERMOSES (still FTW!!!!!) of coffee and a gigantor cup of diluted OJ. I better knock it off soon or I will need to pee every 10 minutes. We need to get a ways out of Douglas before I find a nice bush. Okay that came out wrong.

Also, trying to work on my like, speech to the cop in case he finds me finding a nice bush. "I have corona virus and I am travelling" doesn't quite cut it. Perhaps, "I am sick, I tested negative for the Corona virus but I don't want to get sicker," is better? IDK. It will come to me, I guess.

Officer, I have a medical condition called mindyourownbeesness. Careful, it is highly contagious (to others that haven't already contracted mindyourownbeesness). Symptoms include: independence, not giving a ...., and inner tranquility, among others. Possible side effects: social ostrasization, fines, and other external efforts to control an individuals behavior so that it becomes socially acceptable.

I’m so glad to see someone can maintain a sense of humor. Good job

    GOOD Morning Random Mixers!

So nice to be home! Sleeping in my own bed was completely worth the fight I put up to get out of there.

Pneumonia though. I keep wondering what caused it and keep coming back to vaping. It is hurting me now that I am home, I am sure, and I have cut back after having none for 3 1/2 days. I am just at a loss trying to figure out how I got sick when I never left the house. Ideas welcome.
I had pneumonia after climbing a tree. No idea what caused it, neither were all the doctors that treated me, they were stumped. It's easy to blame the current hot topic item for it, but it's a knee-jerk reaction. Inhaling anything than air is not the best idea, especially after serious pneumonia. You can still do mouth-to-nose vaping, it's better than smoking. Nicotine is readily absorbed by mucuous membranes, it takes some practice to get used to a different method, but it's worth considering.

That’s mainly the way I vape also.

So how is this Covid affecting everyone? I’m just majorly bored and always glad when I can stay busy. If the weather will someday warm up so I can get out as far as the back deck to sit in the sun it won’t be so bad. Given the crappy cold weather that ain’t gonna happen right off.
Mostly, COVID-19/the Jessica Virus has not changed my daily routine much, but I was antisocial before it was cool. Grocery shopping, and Lowe's trips have become more difficult/interesting though.

I get my fill of being around people at work between employees and customers. I like just coming home and not going out much during the week anyway.
    Don’t blame you a bit.

Regular bunch of social butterflies aren’t we
