I'm thinking of skipping the sweet custard. I love it but it don't like me much. Might just try the Chocolate Mouse with the WF Hazelnut and cream and perhaps a touch of fruit.
as never a fan of brown chocolates and fruits, love them with white chocolate and looking forward to trying some of those mixes. Thinking I will take the carmel and cookie route with the hazelnut chocolate. Maybe when I am more familiar with the chocolates I'll try a poke cake recipe.

All this talk of Chocolate and creams has brought on a new recipe I think

RF Aged Bourbon Cream .5%
VT Chocolate Mousse 3%
HA Flue Cured 3%
I doubt I would taste the abc at .5%. Is an underlying note what you are going for there? I may try that with one of the pecans and see if it enhances at that low a percentage.

It's a strong flavor to me. I always start it low.

Speaking of plums. What's your thoughts on those?
Never got around to putting them in an atty but the finger taste is promising. Not sure if the FA will make the cut but thinking both the INW plums will be good. It's been one of those aggravating days you'll be happy to put to bed.

I'd be hard pressed to describe Amber. It's not really sweet, has no boozy taste to me,have no idea of how to use this in a mix. Think I'm just going to let it get to a 30 day steep and try again.

I put Amber is an apple cider recipe I am testing and it tasted great off the lick. It is supposed to steep for a week so I will test it on Thursday. I didn't think it would be my thing but it just might. He used TPA Champagne in the recipe and someone asked about Pink Champagne instead. He doesn't have it so I made tiny testers of the recipe as written and one with Pink Champagne. It will be interesting to compare them. It seems one of the primary uses for Amber is a cider vibe. I will let you all know once I try them out.

Well, that doesn't work well for me since I can't taste apple.

The one I am testing for a UK mixer because I was intrigued, is a dark fruit cider. It is Fuji, Forest Fruit, and Pear. You can make ciders from fruits besides apple. Amber supposedly "ferments" the fruits. We shall see.

Pornegranate has flavor again. It will still get poured out, there's no coming back from the banana. But I can try other flavors to see how they mesh.

Espresso will be getting cut 50%. I'll double the recipe and leave the Espresso out. I'm not sure if it's a 1% flavor but it is Espresso so for me a little can go a long way.

I'd be hard pressed to describe Amber.

    Sweetgum sap

I'm not really getting that from it and the plums. Definitely not with the pom. I should try some of my stand alone with an apple recipe.

I have used White Chocolate quite a bit in different mixes but dark chocolate mainly in tobacco blends. I'm not sure how to work dark chocolate into a different mix but I'm going to work on that. For now I have a new tobacco blend to mix with the Chocolate Mousse and a White Chocolate mix with Hazelnut and Cream and maybe a fruit touch.Going for 15ml mixes. Hope to get those mixed after I work out my final percentages.

Well,it looks like a couple small chocolate mixes for tomorrow. Going to try to work out a cheesecake recipe for the very sweet Fresh fig.

I mixed up some single flavor mix FA chocolate, FA Caramel Candy, and Inawera Chocolate a few days ago, all at 6% standalone. All are developing light to medium shades of color so far. Any tips on steep time and mix ratio for those? These are my first chocolate and caramel mixes, although I've had them for a while. I just used the average for several mix site recommendations.

I'm mostly a tobacco DIY guy for the last few years, but I'm starting to branch out into more complex mixes with other flavors. I have yet to find an RY4 standalone that I really like. There's never enough sweet undertones in the single flavor RY4's, so I thought I'd play with varying 10ml batches with caramel and chocolate additions.

Suggestions for a great DIY RY4 combo mix? I have FA, HS, and Inawera RY4's to play with and hopefully improve.
