I got a lot of ideas from Bill but could never vape his high flavor recipes. Even back then it was way too much flavor for me.
I'm like JC, in that I began by mixing journey, following Bill and his methods. For me, it worked well enough with the old Stardusts, and Vivi Novas, but it became a matter of cost. Mixing at 33% flavoring got expensive, and I was reading about others mixing at 5-10% (using other mfgs.), and I started branching out. :)

LOL. I followed Bill to check out his recipes but I could never use his methods.

You also have to remember who his audience was/is. Mixing commercially meant peoples taste buds were problem still dulled from smoking cigarettes, so he geared his system towards that so that they could be tasted by them. I think he fully expected us to dilute them down once our's healed.

I know this sounds dumb, but I just didn't have the patience(at that time) to fiddle that much with his methods. Of course, I was still working 60+hrs a week and traveling, so while I understood the concept, I just never had the time.

You lacked the time and I lacked the desire.

What % did you vape this as a stand alone? I think I used butter pecan pie and butterscotch cream pie at 5or 6 %. I'm also trying to find the right % to use wf honey roasted peanut.

I use the Butterscotch Cream Pie at 7% for a stand alone.

WF(SC) Honey Roasted Peanuts isn't really a stand alone kind of flavor and I find the higher you get, the drier it gets. I use it as an accent flavor only for TFA Peanut Butter and usually keep it below 1%. (4% TFA PB with 1% WF(SC) Honey Roasted Peanuts)

Well now that I'm done playing with this cream for awhile..I'm lost. Need to find a recipe to mix or something.
This would be a good time to put some of those flavor pairing links to the test. Pick a primary flavor you might be in the mood for, and see where it leads you!:D

This could be where it gets weird. Have you looked at those parings??

@Fidola13 careful with the fuji, it will easily overwhelm the pear over time. pear and apple pair well with floral notes, honeysuckle, boozes, dragon fruit, passion fruit. As Joel pointed out caramel and toffee as well. I mix pear, jelly candy, and kiwi for a lightly sweet pear forward mix; the kiwi keeps it from getting too sweet. I find FA and TFA pears work very well together for a less sweet pear. For me lime works nicely with pear but lemon not so much. I keep forgetting to try pear with grapefruit to add a hint of acid bite. Citrus punch/sicilian mix might be nice with a hint of blueberry added.

Day after tomorrow I'll be trying my Stixx A+. It will be i week old. @ceeceeisme Tried her A+ at one week and really liked it in her recipe. I'll be trying mine solo.

I should mention that I loaded my Stixx Mixx A+ Blend and butterscotch recipe into a tank today and at 6% the A+ Blend is completely drowning out the butterscotch flavors. Next time I'll try lowering the A+ down to about 3.5%.

As for your experiment (TFA Strawberry with/without nic); an interesting third test (I think) would be a nic with no flavor sample (basically a PG/VG/nic blend at the same nic level as the TFA Strawberry with nic). I would be curious to see how the color change compares to the other two.

Easy. I've had unflavored mixed since about when this thread started I think to taste Nicotine Giant to compare to RTS then used to flush RDAs, prime new STM RBAs and I used it as a base for the RF VGs. It's still clear (cloudier because I was comparing glass to a syringe).
I've been through TFA Strawberry from 18mg to 0mg, I just never made an effort to notice it at 0mg.

What will be interesting is if it doesn't change color in a week throw in a little nicotine and see how fast it takes.

I've been DIY since 2013, I probably blew right over those posts because I've always been limited to 10% PG flavoring and there weren't enough VG flavorings to bother with trying to go higher or 100% VG.
