My babies are coming with us. :) I am a little concerned about getting them situated so they can lay their eggs. The temp difference between Florida and Arkansas when we do move in March is what concerns me as well. They start brumating (kind of like hibernation) around the beginning of December and usually wake up around mid February, instantly mating, and then they lay their first set of eggs in April. When we go to Arkansas in March the temps will still be low enough to put them back in brumation which would not be good if they are holding eggs. So I plan on heating the water when I get to Arkansas to prevent any issues.

I am really weird when it comes to my babies. I know some don't understand... I have had my oldest and favorite girl for almost 32 years now. Diamondback Terrapins are incredible. I know, I'm gushing a little too much.
32 years? That’s incredible.

I love that you love them so. Very happy you don't have to leave them behind when you move.

Well, I got clean clothes that are ironed and stuff. I'm going back on a Friday, I didn't realize Monday was Veteran's day. I'm going to bed early and I will like wake up at 6 tomorrow, to try to set my clock. It takes about 3 days, so I missed a day but dang it, my kid was having a meltdown there were several evenings I did not get to EAT until 9:30 for example. And I can't take my sleep meds right away afterward not to mention.. .Other stuff.

My doc told me to do NOTHING work related other than covering my .... as far as dealing with the darling, sweet and delightful risk manager, so I have outstanding things.

It was crazy how hard it was to go out for like 3 hours of chores. I am thinking I may do yoga for like, stamina and it will help me sleep. And tomorrow so I don't FREAK out.

I hope I don't bawl my eyes out as soon as I set through the door (I will have to go gaze at the jellyfish mobile, made by kids out of trash, to remember my calling.) It's in "my" building and it was then I decided "I want to work here" only I did not realize "here" meant right here, .But, it cheers me up every time. My husband loved it too, he just has contractor madness and they all want to be working and scheduling NOW. YOU NEVER say no to a contractor, even if you have to go to a funeral or something because then they hate on you like, and schedule you 3 months out. He has a guy currently working and the next guys on like, Tuesday so it won't work.

It's cool I already cried at my clinic manager (and hugged her when like , she came to my house. I was denture less, in my elderly bathrobe, and I bet I didn't smell so good." DAMN,. She was like, "NO!!!!!! You are FINE!!!!! Why didn't you talk to me." I was like, "Risk manager like made it seem like I would be poison darted if I did and also I am currently psycho" or something like that. Yay. Go me. The living room was not the WORST, but it was not entirely you know, ready for company. LOL. I had been working through "fried" for weeks and the I had what my psychiatrist politely called an "Acute stress reaction and thyroid dysfunction." To politely say "My poor patient was having a TERRIBLE time anyway AND THEN YOU accused her of HIPPA VIIOLATIONS."

So god knows, I'm behind on stuff work wise but you are not really supposed to work on FMLA it's "getting better time."

I won't wear mascara Friday, just in case LOL.

Some things are so overwhelming they short-circuit the brain and leave ozone and burnt brain matter smells everywhere. The trigger can be hard to pin down, but even harder to explain to NT observers. Focus is a difficult thing sometimes, it does help to reduce overreacting during overstimulation. Wow, you have some crappy contractors. I am a sub, but I've been a contractor in the past. Three months sounds vindictive.

If they’re in a dedicated room, could you put an electric heater with thermostat setting in there? I’ve used one in the front room for both guests and pets at various times (on a table, and they do shut off if knocked over or bumped). And I do understand... we’ve had our grumpy old man gulf coast box since 1995 ( I inherited him).

No, you should adore your turtles because they don't talk. Also, they don't try to elicit emotional reactions like, say, one's pet (dogs mainly) or ones children.

I have noted I have been in a soap opera with the kid and I thought "Well now I will talk to him for 10 minutes and just be like, "Okay, problem solved."

Only his first topic of discussion was like being in some standoff with a guy without his headlights on and almost getting hit, which I get is annoying. I have been in both places. I don't really agree with the decision to like roll down your window, flip the bird, and start screaming at the guy. He was probably drunk with a gun for all I knew, or like some poor little old man with his OWN 'tude.

I went "Um... You seem to be a little angry lately...." and that led to "No, I have calmed down considerably on the roads like," at which point I REALLY began to ream. Only the damn kid like, turned it into this German operatic opera in parts, where first he had to "take a moment to collect himself" and then he called back and I was like, OKAY moving right along.... "So how was work honey? How was blah?" And then he was like "Oh my god you are mad at me you are mad at me" and I was like "I am NOT can we CAN THE FEELINGS I really don't need to hear ALL of them I don't care dude---"

Then he hung up. Then I got a 20 page text about how I want to be his therapist.

I so do not. I am paying his insurance for him (it is cheap at my work) I have offered to pay his copays JESUS does that SOUND like the desires of a therapist parent to like GET anywhere NEAR it. You couldn't pay me enough probably and I'd wind up committing him just out of frustration. Which would be wrong.

I was gonna text back but I have (not had the husband) turn off my curse filter yet, and calling your kid an as******* is just not that satisfying in that format.

So, like, to get back on topic how long does one steep the turtle for...???

I'M KIDDING! I'M sorry! I had blow off steam. They truly are adorable.

I'd offer one a home but there are nights like tonight where like I just shake my head and go "You aren't good with living beings Anna."

32 years? That’s incredible.

There is an animal rescue near me that has Tortoises. One HUGE one. They get very old, too. I always wanted a tortoise, but once I found out how complicated the care was, I changed my mind.

And my friend has an African Clawed Frog that is over 20 years old. She bought it when her kids were small. The kids are now in their 30's, the frog is still there!

My BCF order should be here today! Going to try to mix up some Rootbeer Float! Also on the agenda, planting bulbs before the ground freezes. We may get some snow tonight. And I have a meatloaf to make. "Payment" for my roof shingle repair. I love that kind of bartering!

I bet I will. The last time I tried I didn't measure. I'm not usually a measurer. The result was gross. So this time, I'm going to actually do it correctly!

    Good morning mixers :)

Today just may be the day I claim and exercise my right to bear arms.

Wife has no opposition to it at all, just need to try to find a way to pay for it and have her be okay with that. I think I have a solution.

Yeah, I usually mix like I cook. A little of this and a little of that. I'm surprisingly consistent by now with my ADVs. But apparently that doesn't work for rootbeer. At least not until I get a better idea of what I'm shooting for!

Think the populations of Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, and Iran would like to have a second amendment?

Good morning mixers. I should have some new recipes ready for trying this weekend. I very much need to figure out which flavors I want to do sft for and get them put away.
    Good luck on both, hitt:)
