I like a mixture of TFA Raspberry Sweet and either FA Raspberry (Berryl) or VTA Shisha Raspberry at twice the TFA to the FA. Here are two recipes that are good. I know that the fro-yo recipe has a lot of ingredients.

Raspberry Sherbet (adapted from a Liam Davey recipe)
Cream (Flavorah) 1% (whatever cream you have is probably fine)
Lemon Sicily (Limone Sicilia) (FA) 1%
    Pink Champagne (FW) 2%
    Raspberry (Berryl) (FA) 1.5%
    Raspberry, Sweet (TPA) 3%
    Sweetener - your favorite - .5 to 1%
    7 day steep

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt (adapted from a recipe posted on DIYORDIY by Brian Riley Jones)
Cream Fresh (Panna Fresca) (FA) 1%
Whipped Cream (TFA) 1% (FA Whipped Cream is better but has to be ordered from Chefs in Wales)
    Greek Yogurt (Flavorah) 2.5%
Oba Oba (FA) 1.5% (optional but it does add a lot)
    Raspberry, Sweet (TPA) 3%
    Shisha Raspberry (VTA) 2%
    Sweetener of choice 1%
Sweet Cream (Flavorah) 1% (or VTA Sweet Cream which I prefer)
    Vanilla Swirl (TPA) 3%
    WS-23 30% .5%
    7 Day Steep

I have grapefruit recipes too. I think my favorite is posted in this thread somewhere. I will look for that post.
    Thanks, Pam:) Those look tasty

I definitely want to try the yogurt recipe but might leave out the ws23. I don’t think I have oba either. Is that a fruit flavor?

    10 ingredients!

I wouldn’t have a clue how to tweak anything like that. I’m working toward something like greek yogurt a vanilla to temper the tangyness And keep it from tasting like sour cream and the raspberry. Simple to start. She told me she doesn’t like creamy or sweet.

@Bronze - this is another really good grapefruit recipe.

    Pamplemousse with Pink Champagne
    Cactus (Kaktus) (INAWERA) .5%
    Fizzy Sherbet (VTA) 1%
    Pink Champagne (FW) 2%
    Pink Guava (Flavorah) 2%
Ruby Red Grapefruit (Natural) (FW) 3%
    Super Sweet (CAP) .5%
    White Grapefruit (INAWERA) .25%
    WS-23 30% .75%

It is an Italian candy. It is marshmallow-like but creamier and brighter than marshmallow. With fruits, it brightens and adds a creamy mouthfeel. With yogurt, it kicks up the tartness and adds a silky texture.

You could use the recipe as a base and leave out the creams and the sweetener. Leave out the Oba Oba and the WS-23. Keep the Cream Fresh and you have a 5 ingredient recipe. It might need some tweaking for your wife's tastes but it is a starting point I hope.

Thanks, I’ll look at that in the morning.

BTW, what in the hell is Oba Oba and WS-23? Sounds like Star Wars to me.

Oba Oba is an Italian candy. It is marshmallow-like but creamier and brighter than marshmallow. With fruits, it brightens and adds a creamy mouthfeel. With yogurt, it kicks up the tartness and adds a silky texture. WS-23 is a flavorless coolant.

I know you don't like recipes with more than 4 or 5 ingredients but I find that with fruits, sometimes you need to layer two or three of the same fruit from different vendors to get the perfect flavor.

I agree. Most recipes are better when you layer 2-3 of the same fruit.

Got to remember I’m a rookie and have a long way to go to remember what all these ingredients taste like. I’m getting pretty good with chocolates but then in the vastness of flavors, that’s still nothing. I’m more comfortable working with less complex recipes at this point. That said, I do understand layering 2 or 3 of the same flavors. This is exactly what I am doing with apple. Started with just double apple. Then Fuji. Then a combo of the two that improved it. And now I’m looking for a third apple to add to that and may use all three or some combination of two.

Many here are in what I call the hobby stage of DIY. Experienced, know what they like and what they don’t like, know what many of the concentrates taste like, know how they impact the blends, have 2,000 flavors in their stash, know what WS-27 is, etc. I’m nowhere near that. Maybe some day I will though it is not a dream of mine at this time. For now, I simply want to make something that isn’t crap. I said from the get go that I was unlike most everyone here. I’m far more finicky when it comes to flavors. You guys have a far greater tolerance than I and it really makes me envious. Strange how there are so very few foods I wont eat but how so very few vapes I enjoy.

Hope ya'll had happy Days of Mixing. I had the day of Notes by Fire where the husband called to tell me how much data I "had" and how much like,, Verizon had done Wrong to us, Deep deep wrong. It never ends. It did enable me to keep my running streak like, for another week because the whole time I was like, "Any second I could lose connectivity." I did NOTHING but notes and notes. In fact one of my texts to my husband was, "I wouldn't be texting this, but I figured, I had to get up to use the can, what the hell. I will call you after I am done. Unless you are already asleep and like, in which case you should text me a happy goodnight. I might not see it and still wake you up, no promises." I am getting ready for bed and by that I mean it's time. I'm not even tired. I ate after NINE.

This whole dealio sucks, I am telling you. But alarm is set for tomorrow and the day is all MINE to do the horrible, meaningless tasks you do to stay alive like go to Walmart, clean stuff, ensure clean work clothes and..../

Why no I am not bitter, why do you ask? LOL
